Oita Hotels

Brand new onsen hotel by Dormy Inn group of companies. The interior is very stylish and classy, perfect for a short hot spring getaway without breaking the bank.

A good location — near the station and many restaurants around.
Brand new — about a year old? So its condition is neat and nice.
Standard room is tiny for 2 adults and a kid.

Perfect hotel. Good price and friendly staff. Clean room, bathroom, sheets, everything you need. Only thing to improve is that the pillows are hard for my liking.
Dormy Inn always a good choice.

Located right next to Oita Station, it's very convenient.
The hotel also has a public bath, which is both traditional and comfortable.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Yamada Bessou last month; everything was perfect! Rumi and her husband were so pleasant and helpful.

Yamada Bessou.

We stayed here with both breakfast and dinner included. The dinner buffet was truly unbelievable.

I stayed here for 3 nights using it as a base for Beppu, Oita, and Yufuin. They upgraded me to sea view room and you can see the sun rise in the morning (see photo).

Very good onsen hotel to stay in beppu, highly recommended place to enjoy both indoors and outdoors onsen privately plus great way to reset your sleeping habits if you have never tried sleeping in

We had a really nice stay! The host was one of the loveliest people we’ve met. We came here to relax and it was a success: the place is quiet, close to the river and nature.

Managed by kind and attentive old couple.
The room is spacious and we'll equiped.
Very clean.
Has nice facilities.
Overall I had a pleasant stay.
And definitely would come again.

5 people used the bunk bed room.

Small, comfortable rooms. Excellent, efficient and friendly Reception staff. Delicious Japanese breakfast for only Yen 500 with wonderful Kitchen staff. Small gym (Treadmill and a few weights).

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Beppu Daiiti hotel a couple of weeks ago. The staff were very nice — both receptionists and the kitchen staff at breakfast time.

The staff are kind and smart in dealing. I thank them very much, especially those who work at night. Their response is quick and efficient.

This hotel is one of my favorites when I travel to Japan. The rooms are more spacious than other hotels in the area. I also appreciate the pleasant street view from the window.

Nice free drink service.
Bed is very comfortable.
High quality of amenities.
Worth the price.
My most favorite hotel out of 7 hotels that I had stayed for a trip of 8 days.

Great Stay at JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Oita.
• Amazing View: The outdoor hot spring on the 21st floor has a beautiful view of the sea.

Hotel is conveniently located next to Oita Station and Amu shopping plaza. Plenty of restaurants, cafe, retail and convenience stores around the area.

Good no-nonsense hotel. Simple but very clean. Simple and fresh breakfast. Great price, friendly staff and good location (directly at Beppu station). Highly recommended.

Literally a few steps from Beppu Station. The place has free parking for guests, located behind the building.
Breakfast as a set meal is available for an additional ¥900.

My family (3 of us) really had a nice time here. The service and staff were great — very friendly and accommodating — for a small boutique ryokan.

Staff are incredibly kind.
The meals were also awesome, and the “onsen” was very clean. I would stay here again if I could come to Yufuin next time.

Lodge Kiyokawa has been one of our favorite trips so far. If you’re visiting Oita and want a peaceful escape from city life without spending too much this is such a great place to stay.

Spent a few days here, the staff was amazing and it was incredible. They got nearby hikes, saunas, fishing, games, a river you can just kick it at and relax or take a quick dip after the sauna.

Warmly welcomed by the helpful staff.

Superb location. Fantastic room, private baths, great food and service. Its one of the best accommodation that we have stayed in Japan.

Probably the best hotel in Yufuin!

Went for a day onsen. Virgin onsen experience and it was enjoyable.
Very simple system, just buy a ticket from the machine and drop it into the basket on the counter and walk into the onsen.

We just used the onsen, without staying at the Ryokan. It was 800¥ per person and it was absolutely worth it. We went into the light blue open air bath which was wonderful.

This is the second time I decided to stay in Yufuin DONGURI cottage.
The feeling Inside the cottage is warm and cozy, as I stayed for 2days, they provided 2meals each day.

This is a newly built serviced apartment–style hotel that is exceptionally clean and well maintained.

Not far from the station but if you have big luggage you have to drag it uphill a little bit 🥹. The street in Yufuin in the evening is very quiet and dark so recommend to get back to the place not

A pleasant little house, run by a kind lady and her cat.

Boutoque hotel in Hinano. Overall nice stopover for us. Check in was swift and well organized. We have in room onzen which were convenient. Each floor has different theme, ours was Audrey Hapburn.

Nestled in the tranquil town of Hita, Caffel Hinanosato offers a unique and rejuvenating experience for travelers seeking a peaceful escape.

A very enjoyable stay. The staff members are exceptionally helpful and hospitable. It's a high quality onsen ryokan with everything that you would expect.

10-15 min walk uphill from the nearest bus station that will make you want to stay there once you check in! The kaiseki meals were great and the different semi — private baths were fun to try out.

We stayed at “Fukurou” room for 6 nights which includes a private outdoor onsen. The accommodations were excellent and relaxing, and the outdoor onsen felt wonderful!

A wonderful stay with impeccable attention to food preparation and presentation.
The bathtubs (one inside and, connected, one on the balcony) was heavenly.

For the price I’ve never stayed in anywhere better. The onsen is excellent, you can feel the health. Also owner is extremely nice, happy to accommodate any request.

Excellent value. Walking distance to all the nearby onsen, and it has a free tattoo friendly Onsen for guests. Paid ¥1600 for a tent in an air-conditioned room.

Great stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were super helpful, especially when we had to contact our previous hotel to get back some things we left behind.

We had a great time at Hana Beppu! The service here is top notch and the whole ambience of the ryokan is very peaceful and relaxing. Both the breakfast and dinner is fantastic!

1) Location is a little hard to find if you reach in the night and if you are driving. Made 2 rounds before we managed to figure out the path that leads to the house.

We had an amazing experience at 竹屋! The location couldn't be better – literally steps from Yufuin station, and there's a charming 'secret path' connecting it directly.

Highly recommended for the price point.
It has everything expected of a good hostel — comfortable rooms and beds, good service, good location.
It is tucked in an alley just opp Beppu Tower.

We were met by polite and efficient staff who could converse in English.

We stayed here for 1 night. The host is super lovely and helpful. Though she can’t speak fluent English, but she try to speak as much as she could. The room is clean and equipped with toilet.

Comfortable place (western room), pleasant, and incredibly friendly and attentive managers. I loved this place!

I don't know where to begin with…
Toshi and his girlfriend/wife (didn't dare to ask though 🙈) are such nice people.

The owner Toshi made the experience incredibly fun off the jump.

Really lovely people, extremely clean place, onsen was great too. One of my favourite stays across Japan.

This hostel is super cute and comfortable. Just under 5000¥, you can enjoy super beautiful night view of Yufuin. Moreover, natural hot spring is available 24 hours.
