Fantastic traditional accommodation with a tranquil private onsen. The staff are beautiful and do their best to meet any request. I would highly recommend a stay.
At the first time I got travel to Japan. I never booking hotels. I always walk-in to ask about room for one night first time I came to Beppu I just walk around the town then I found Japanese house look beautiful, just take a look closer Oh! this is hotel Ryokan Yamada bessou. I came in they have welcome drink is Matcha and Yokan the taste is new for me but I really like it. Then they show me the price for room and breakfast the price is ok then I said Ok! they prepare that room for me and show me the way to take a bath and how to use Japanese Onsen. This hotel have Private Onsen it's so nice! every thing about this Ryokan is Perfect for me. So I have been Yamada for 3 times for every times I came to Japan. Trust me your will love this Ryokan.

After only 24 hours in Japan we experienced the true meaning of omotenashi at Yamada Bessou, thanks to the wonderful manager (Okami) and ryokan staff. A must stay if visiting Beppu. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
