Stayed here overnight 21.11.2019 what a fab place lovely friendly staff lovely spacious rooms and beautiful food with lovely log fire and a very homely feel cosy atmosphere and a warm welcome will definitely be back.

Met family who were staying at The Inn for evening meal. The food was delicious … most found the chips a bit too large in size … would be nicer cut smaller. Fish was lovely. A bit more attention from bar staff would have been nice. Overall a great night.

Went to eat on recommendation, had a very disappointing meal, manager not really interested in making the experience any better even though it was brought to his attention when he asked “if we had enjoyed our meal “ would not recommend. Poor customer follow up.

Called this afternoon about 2.20 pm, had a lovely welcome from one of the staff, who showed us to a table near the log burner, drink order was taken, then food order, after a very long wait, a member of staff came and apologized that our order had got lost, and it would be with us in 5 minutes, there was only another 3 tables in, they gave us complimentary drinks for our wait, the food eventually arrived, I had the fish pie, it was ok, nothing special, daughter had the steak and cheese sandwich, husband unfortunately went for the fish and chips, which I was expecting something nice for the £12.95 price tag, it came the fish soggy and the chips burnt, we complained and were offered another, but we said we didn't have the time to wait, they didn't charge us for it, I'm sorry but won't be calling here again,

Food was really good and fairly priced. Food to table was within 20 mins. The staff were clearly new so service was a bit slow and they were unsure of a few things but all round good service.

Had an Excellent meal here last week. Good menu too.

I stayed here on Monday for a work trip and absolutely loved it! We stayed over the night, the rooms are brilliant, very spacious and had the best nights sleep!
We all enjoyed a huge platter and the food was delicious!
All the members of staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.
We all had a delicious full English breakfast in the morning which was also lovely! I would highly recommend, thank you so much for having us!

Very slow service, food perfectly acceptable but uninspiring and no panache on the plate in line with the relatively high prices compared to other comparable places. Others complaining and waiting too. Might have been a bad day for them but we won't return.

Nice food and beautiful setting, service was generally poor. One person was on the bar, items missed off off. The guy doing the serving was really helpful and apologetic but for the prices charged, I hoped for better.

Excellent place to stay. Easy access to Harrogate and surrounding attractions. Pleasant staff. Good menu. And fabulous rooms.

Lovely looking decor. Food presentaion looked great. However. Disappointed with 'slow cooked pork'. Lump of fat with soggy crackling. Poor roast potatoes. Cold mash! Had to ask twice for our drinks order. We were not asked once if we enjoyed our meal by any member of staff. Poor!

Very nice inn. Friendly and helpful staff excellent food. We will be back.

Popped in for a drink on the way home from Yorkshire Warrior… fantastic decor, welcoming and relaxing. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Wasn't impressed realy. I think they are trying to have something fancy but not achieving it. Just put some food on the plate that the customer can enjoy and be done with And put the price down your not worth it.

Excellent quality of food and a good selection of drink. Pricy though but worth it.

At first I was a bit hesitant to try this place as I'd been when it was a fayre and square. However we went and what a transformation! As you go in there's a great sparkling bar with with an aged but modern style which was very inviting. We were greeted promptly at the door and decided to have a few drinks before dinner. I HIGHLY recommend their amazing selection of gins and my partner chose Peroni of course. Then for dinner they really gave you an variety of choice. Both seafood like a variety of fish, mussels, langoustines as well as classic pub foods like chicken pot pie and steak AND they even had a great specials board! So much to choose from I think we'll be back every week, the waitress even said they're getting a new menu so yum yum. The service was also great, really lovely and friendly people. After our meal we loved it so much we moved to the lounging area to sit by the roaring fire and enjoy some more drinks. Would 12/10 recommend this place and the rooms look fantastic!

Very good food and clean surroundings. The staff are friendly. Some of the younger ones quite full on and call you "guys" and not Sir (pet hate : americanisms) and talk in another dialect to the English I was taught but if you can cope with text speak the food makes up for it. Very popular so worth booking.

Friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings with a log burner making you feel lovely and cosy. Excellent food. I can recommend the meatballs and languostine for starters and mussels and chips and lamb for main We couldn't manage a dessert but I'm sure they are just as delicious.

What a transformation — absolutely stunning unrecognisable venue with such a warm and friendly welcome from the manager and his staff. Food was exquisite we cannot fault it. Extensive and impressive menu. My partner and I had the sharing platter which was absolutely huge and frankly delicious, certainly excellent value for money. Our friends had pizzas which again were huge and they thoroughly enjoyed them especially the piggy one! They do take away pizzas as well — we shall be taking advantage. The baked Alaska was simply Devine. Huge selection of drinks on offer was especially impressed with the gin variety.
I wish the new friendly and lovely team all the success in the world. We shall visit again soon. Looking forward to the game and wine tasting evening on the 17th November.

We just spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the atmosphere in comfortable surroundings. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the food is to die for. There is something for everyone on the menu, not just fish and the gin list is superb. If you get chance it is really worth a visit you won't be disappointed.
