Lodge Kiyokawa has been one of our favorite trips so far. If you’re visiting Oita and want a peaceful escape from city life without spending too much this is such a great place to stay.

Spent a few days here, the staff was amazing and it was incredible. They got nearby hikes, saunas, fishing, games, a river you can just kick it at and relax or take a quick dip after the sauna.

We were here for 3 nights in July 2026 as first timer to Yakushima. We actually didn't know about this hotel until we found it via Hilton network.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. They have tea and snack in the lounge. It rained while I was there, didn't have a chance to do outside activies. Had a massage with an herbal bath and hot stone.

Amazing hotel on the marina. Outside looks a bit old, but don't be fooled. Received a welcome bottle of sparkling wine asking with a cup of fruit. Room overlooks the marina, and is very nice!

Nice hotel with a Amazing view but to some extend worn. Carpets in the hallways really need a facelift and the entire hotel could use a layer of paint.
But it was cheap and really nice.

We had a wonderful kaiseki dinner in the hotel. The serving person was most helpful in explaining the menu, item by item, in English. This made our dinner more fun & enjoyable.

A very nice hotel!

Understated luxury in an old fashioned hotel in a quiet corner of Japan. We came in November and the resort was quiet, relaxing and beautiful.

After staying at a number of traditional Ryokans, it was a nice change to check into this very modern hotel.

Absolutely amazing stay at ANA InterContinental Beppu! Everything was incredible, the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the food.

Incredibly welcoming and thorough hospitality team. We arrived earlier than expected and they handled it with no issue whatsoever.

Stayed at AMANE RESORT GAMAHA and this was easily one of the most memorable stays of the trip.
The property is right on the waterfront, and the setting is just beautiful.

One of the best resorts I’ve stayed at in Japan. Everything was spot on. The food was excellent, and the service went beyond expectations—very Japanese in style, with incredible attention to detail.

We did not expect much when we booked Shibushi Bay Daikoku Resort Hotel, but we were completely blown away from the moment we arrived.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning. I've never experienced something like that. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the salt water onsen a lot.

We only stayed in the hotel one night unfortunately it’s the best hotel we have stayed in this trip so far.

What a place. Location amazing, a few min from the station where you can get anywhere.
You can also walk to the cultural center two block down towards the sea.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Pricia Resort Hotel! The absolute highlight of our visit was the incredible staff — everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.

+ Beautiful setting and surrounding like everywhere else on Yoron. Breakfast was amazing and the free flow bar during the day is a great extra.

We booked the ‘Wind’ room. Good size. 2 beds and 2 tatami. Private onsen.
Small kitchen with limited features. I was attracted to it because of the view.

During our Kyushu trip, we spent one night at the Sheraton Ocean Grande Resort which we booked using points on the Marriott website.

Perfectly comfortable and adequate hotel. The staff members are well-trained, polite, and helpful. The facilities are generally clean and well-kept.

This is a beautiful, glamping resort that is somewhat near Yufuin town/floral village but far enough to be remote and peaceful.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at the hotel. The staff were exceptionally nice, caring, and always ready to help with any requests. The view from my room was fantastic.

We initially thought we had booked a room with a private onsen, but upon arrival, we discovered there was no such booking. Instead, we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor without a private onsen.

This inn is in a very beautiful onsen town. The room and the service are definately 5 stars. The onsen rooms are also very nice and relaxing. As to the dinner it is decent but not amazing.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids had an enjoyable time. The kids first camping experience and were happily jumping around. The staff were great also.

It was a very great glamping experience. The room is nice and comfy with a fabulous view. We also had BBQ dinner and breakfast which the hotel provided everything for us and the quality was good.

We spent 4 lovely days on Amami island. A wonderful quiet place with amazing nature and beaches. We have been fortunate to stay at Thida moon, a simple but very cosy place.

Very nice food. The room was clean and the service was very good. The staff was extremely friendly. I strongly recommend the grill at the terrace, when the weather allows.

Super friendly staff and amazing location. My only complaint was the bed and super hard pillows. It comes down to personal preference but some options would be appreciated. Otherwise an amazing stay.

I splurged out on the deluxe room at Oita Kuoritei for a couple of nights to explore the region and was very pleased with the property.

I took a day trip and used a hot spring facility wearing a swimsuit.
The facility was clean and I was able to enjoy the hot springs.

Totally overwhelmed by this Onsen from accomodation location bathing facilities food and to top it of the staff I actually believe this is 6 stars I highly recommend this location and I will be back

Firstly the views are great and if you choose the meal plan, both dinner and breakfast are lovely. It’s also good to have in room onsen.

Beautiful place away from the heart of Beppu. They have a shuttle from Beppu station that u can book online. Room was beautiful and we greatly enjoyed the onsen and view.

This is a very nice resort. It's right on the water just north of Beppu Station.

Beautiful and clean room. On the pricier side but definitely worth it. We stayed at room type J. Fully recharged and rested. The breakfast was excellent and served in individual portions/dishes.

I was so excited when the door is open. Very spacious and beautiful. Love the set up and the private ♨️. Amazing.

There are plenty of amenities and the room is spacious.
The cleaning is thorough and you can get a good night's sleep.
