I had a great stay at The Blossom Kumamoto with my friend! Will highly recommend this to travellers to the city.

Room is excellent: Huge room with sleeping and bathroom areas totally separated. Huge windows on two sides overlooking distant hills and closer-by lower buildings.

This hotel is located right in the center of Kumamoto’s downtown area, making it very convenient.

Hotel Nikko is centrally located in Kumamoto making it an excellent choice for any visit. We stayed for 4 nights and truly enjoyed the place. Rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities available.

Let me start with an advise; when you come to Japan go to Kyushu and stay in this hotel. My wife and I enjoy our last evening here (we stayed 5 nights) and this hotel is excellent.

This hotel is located out of nowhere but I am surprised that there were quite a few overseas tourists like us.

Booked two 和室 (Japanese-style room) with 2 meals （一泊二食）for one night stay during my family (4 male adults, 2 female adults).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fumoto Ryokan. The check-in and check-out process was excellent—efficient, seamless, and completely stress-free.
The location is fantastic — right by the river.

We stayed 3 nights here. The location is perfect to walk to Kumamoto castle which is about 10-15 minutes at leisure.

This hotel is trying very hard to be a proper hotel in Amakusa. 5 stars for effort. Despite the old facilities, most of their single or double rooms have been nicely renovated.

Great hotel — clean good sized rooms.
Cheap.
Breakfast can be had.
Convenience store next door.
Can't ask for more on a great spot!
Amakusa is in the middle of nowhere though…

The service at this hotel is excellent. The quality of the room is very good, and it’s very spacious compared to the price per night. The location is in an arcade, close to food and shopping areas.

The room itself was elegant and well-appointed, with a tasteful decor. I slept quite comfortably during my stay. The hotel also had a pleasantly quiet atmosphere, which I appreciated.

A very good hotel with hot springs. Friendly staff and delicious dinner. I guess the hotel owner is a fan of Gundam. There are a lot of Gundam and manga on display in the second building.

We had a few days exploring the region from here and found it had everything we needed.

The best hotel we stayed at during our whole Japan trip in Kyushu. The room is very spacious, we had a great view of the castle and the reception were very welcoming.

Kind staff, clean and comfortable accommodation for a great price. I had a great view of Kumamoto castle from my room. The rooftop terrace was lovely to watch the sun set behind the castle grounds.

Absolute gem of a hotel. Definitely an older style but it has been maintained well and getting handed an actual key to you room was cool.

You can’t beat Dormy Inn when it comes to location — next to the bus terminus and Sakura Machi mall. Rooms are Japan sized but clean and fresh. Buffet breakfast was tasty and had a good variety.

Excellent breakfast well worth the extra fee. Rooms were typical Japanese size, ie, small but clean and well-serviced.

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. Located 2 mins walk from downtown, it's a nice location.

The room uses every inch efficiently, even though the room size is a bit small but it is very comfortable.

The staff were attentive and spoke basic English. Fujimoto-san in particular was very polite and friendly. He helped us from picking us to the bus stop to the end of our trip.

We spent 5 days at Hitoyoshi Ryokan enjoying a beautiful room overlooking the river with a feast for every meal and of course regular visits to the onzen.

The room is spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to keep my bicycle in the room during my bike tour. Coffee machine at the lobby and microwave on the each floor.

Spacious ASO suite with sofa set, large TV, bgm music, coffee pod machine and bath tub with jacuzzi. We slept very well, what more could we ask for.

Amazing little hotel with onsite parking, a hot spring, cold plunge, sauna, and restaurant. It's also just opposite a convenience store where you can pick up water and snacks.

Comfy room, yummy food and reasonable price. The bus close by goes to Kumamoto castle directly in about 20 mins, the famous park Suizenji park is also in walking distance.

The location was set in a quiet and peaceful site away from the busy tourist area but still just a short drive away. The room was spacious, like a summer cottage and the kitchen was well equipped.

The property is only about 3 mins drive from the town centre. The owner was very honest in returning ¥10, 000 when I inadvertently overpaid. She ran out after me when she realised.

Wonderful quiet onsen ryokan away from the more touristy kurokawa side. Staff are very friendly and professional from the moment we checked in. Room is clean, nice and well maintained.

I stayed in a room facing the sea. I was on the 5th floor and could see the sunset over the ocean.

We are a group of five staying from 15 to 17 February 26. The rooms we stayed are Japanese style, very comfortable and nice.

We had an amazing stay here! The service was incredible—they set up our futons for us and even helped pack them away. They also helped to carry our luggage up the steps.

We stayed in the annex room with a river view, and it was easily one of our best experiences in Japan.

We stayed in the annex room with the river views and it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Feels like I touched a bit of heaven. The onsens were also pretty phenomenal.

Quite surprised to find such a special hotel in Aso. The after dinner activity was guided by astrophysicists to gaze stars in such a beautiful country park. They have an small planetarium.

This is a unique and delightful place.

Very clean, very cozy, very friendly staff, close to Aso station, restaurants, convenience store and onsen, I couldn't recommend it more! There is a shared kitchen, a coin washing machine available.

Wonderful little lodge at the foot of mt. Aso, a 5 minute walk form Aso station.
The rooms and facilities are very clean (almost compulsively so) and well-maintained.

The accommodation was clean and beautifully decorated, which I really liked. The host was also very kind.
