Aso Hotels

I had a great stay at The Blossom Kumamoto with my friend! Will highly recommend this to travellers to the city.

Room is excellent: Huge room with sleeping and bathroom areas totally separated. Huge windows on two sides overlooking distant hills and closer-by lower buildings.

A very charming timber house externally and internally. Our room is spacious, clean, very quiet, with large windows overlooking the courtyard.
The welcome sweet snacks on our first day was delightful.

Everything from friendly staffs, welcoming desserts, unbelievably abundant and delicious dinner and breakfast, available shared and private onsen bath to traditional wooden building with very

This Onsen ryokan was so good that we added an extra night!

There are no words to accurately express how wonderful this ryokan is. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms comfortably appointed, the private onsens perfection, and the food and service spectacular.

You can’t beat Dormy Inn when it comes to location — next to the bus terminus and Sakura Machi mall. Rooms are Japan sized but clean and fresh. Buffet breakfast was tasty and had a good variety.

Excellent breakfast well worth the extra fee. Rooms were typical Japanese size, ie, small but clean and well-serviced.

A very good hotel with hot springs. Friendly staff and delicious dinner. I guess the hotel owner is a fan of Gundam. There are a lot of Gundam and manga on display in the second building.

We had a few days exploring the region from here and found it had everything we needed.

The room is spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to keep my bicycle in the room during my bike tour. Coffee machine at the lobby and microwave on the each floor.

Spacious ASO suite with sofa set, large TV, bgm music, coffee pod machine and bath tub with jacuzzi. We slept very well, what more could we ask for.

Our stay here was such a peaceful and refreshing experience.

The hotel is located about 20 min's drive from Kusasenri and it is a convenient base to explore the Aso area.
Our room was spacious and comfortable.

Location was great, just a short walk from Kumamoto station and shopping malls.
Not a very new hotel so some of the services are still old school style, like no self-serve laundry.

Amazing stay at the hotel. Highly recommend.
Room was spacious, clean and nicely renovated.

The hotel’s pretty amazing.

We stayed in the cheapest room type. The room wasn't very big, but the view was stunning. The hotel's dinner didn't have many options, but each dish was very unique and delicious.

In room-small toilet/good room/can't adjust ac-heater.
Very good manager.
Very good breakfast.
Good public bath.
Very good public toilet.

We came here in middle of October. We chose this hotel based on its proximity with the railway station. The rate was a bit steep because of the long Japanese holiday weekend.

We loved our stay at Sozankyo. The staff was super friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home.
The japanese style room we had was lovely and very comfortable.

We had the most comfortable and relaxing stay here! ✨ The room we had was beautiful, spacious and had great amenities. Everything was really clean and immaculate.

The ryokan itself is truly beautiful, elegant, peaceful, and full of charm.

5* for the service and incredible food. The old ladies hosting at this ryokan are so polite and so welcoming that felt like being in a Japanese movie.

We stayed for two nights at Koto Tea House. The hosts were lovely and forthcoming. The bedroom was spaceous and clean.

Highlights of this beautiful home stay are definitely the traditional Japanese interior plus the authentic Japanese breakfast as well as the possibility to do a real tea ceremony!

Very clean, very cozy, very friendly staff, close to Aso station, restaurants, convenience store and onsen, I couldn't recommend it more! There is a shared kitchen, a coin washing machine available.

Wonderful little lodge at the foot of mt. Aso, a 5 minute walk form Aso station.
The rooms and facilities are very clean (almost compulsively so) and well-maintained.

Clean and relatively quiet even though the location is so good — in front of Kumamoto station, and just beside big roads and taxi stands.

Much cleaner than our first hotel. Breakfast spread was good and service spot on. Staff always on the lookout for your needs. Very busy place but lift is fast. Need more laundry machine as long queue.

I was able to experience Japanese style accommodations, hot springs, and food. Staffs were very kind, and I loved a charming garden. My daughter (5 year old) also had a funny, wonderful time.

We had an exceptional stay. Gratitude to the entire staff for their generous and kind assistance. The outdoor onsen is fantastic, and the breakfast/dinner is truly delightful.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. The communal kitchen was well stocked. The instant noodles and drinks were very reasonably priced.

Everything you need is there, including a kitchen with full self-catering facilities, and correct usage to respect the property and other guests is clearly explained.

Stayed here on night 4 of our 7 day Kyushu road trip.
Booked here primarily for the Kumamon themed room.

Had a decent, comfortable stay overall, though it’s a bit more low-key compared to big brand hotels such as Hilton and Hyatt.
The location is just okay.

For the price that I’m paying I’d say it’s really worth it. Facility and bathrooms are really clean and overall it’s pretty quiet too.

The location is excellent, right next to Kumamoto Station, which makes getting around very convenient. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Remote, family run, beautiful, lovingly run. Secluded. We were easily able to use local bus to get to and from Fukuokua. But need to be willing to walk.

Excellent experience.
Family run boutique hotel, with only 3 rooms.
Outstanding dinner and breakfast.
Our room was a small house, with private onsen and sauna, facing the wood. Beautiful view.
