1) Location is a little hard to find if you reach in the night and if you are driving. Made 2 rounds before we managed to figure out the path that leads to the house.

We had an amazing experience at 竹屋! The location couldn't be better – literally steps from Yufuin station, and there's a charming 'secret path' connecting it directly.

The hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner made sure we have enough towels, toothbrushes and toilet paper in between each cleaning.

I liked it because it was a very quiet neighborhood.
The first day was difficult because I used Google incorrectly.
Second day: 10 minutes to Tenji Underground Shopping Mall.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at — very clean, staff is kind and friendly, nice study/work area, extensive book collection, and toiletries and laundry available.

I had a lovely stay at this place! It's just a quick 10-minute stroll to the subway and bus stops, making it super convenient to get around.

This place is a great choice if you are open to staying in a dorm room. I typically prefer capsule hotels and didn't think I would like this setup, but it completely won me over.

I stayed in the mixed dorm bunkbeds and I was surprised to find that they offer a cleaning service to change the sheets and make your bed.

The guesthouse is so unique and cozy, very peaceful and very well equipped.

What an AMAZING find. The owner is incredibly friendly and kind, he went out of his way to help us set up a simple bbq when we requested for one.

We immediately received a warm welcome and a tour of the property. The family owners are incredibly hospitable.

Upon arrival Yuki walked us through the property and explained how everything worked within the house.

Hostel Toki is a great place to stay in Fukuoka. It is located in a great area and close to many bus stops. The employees there are very kind.

Amazing host, very welcoming, kind and gentle and super helpful! The hostel has an incredibly relaxing vibe, it's cozy, warm and clean. All-around a great bang for your buck.

Toshi and his girlfriend/wife (didn't dare to ask though 🙈) are such nice people.

Cosy, quirky hostel in an old building.
The hostel is on the 4th floor of the Tomal building, there's a sign outside the building door.

They opened their doors to us late a night to a lovely quaint space. The host helped us call ahead to our next hostel and gave us recommendations around town.

The bed is long enough, but too narrow. The ladder is also too narrow. The stairs suck! Four flights. No elevator. The kitchen is nice, but is it ample for the amount of people staying?

The location was amazing. It’s so close to Shinchi Chinatown, and you can walk to Glover Garden or Nagasaki station. And don’t forget to try Nagasaki Kakuni manju, the main store is very nearby.

Our stay here on Iki island was the best experience we had in Kyushu!

Very beautiful and comfortable guest house for such a little price! The host is very convenient and very kind : he can bring you to the guest house from the port if you ask!

I had a great 3 nights stay here. The house feels like an actual home as the owner Suzy lives right there. She made all guests feel welcomed. Bus terminal and supermarket is only 5 mins walk away.

Amazing experience! I really enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great during my visit, so I spent more time indoors – but the hostel is very cozy and I felt really comfortable there.

I love this place. Might seem old for its price per night, but the place is well maintained. The location is also good, and the staffs are really nice!

Very spacious “capsule” style rooms which are so much more than capsules honestly. I have a lot of luggage and I could fit everything in the room. Everything is cleaned on a daily basis at 10am.

Such a great hostel! Just a small space beside the bed made a huge difference.

Stayed here for three days.
Rooms — clean and nice, with comfortable and wide bunk beds. Having only four people in room is also really good as it doesn't become crowded and noisy.

I would definitely recommend it. Well located, close to Watanabe metro station, and a lots of restaurants in the area, very welcoming staff.

4.6 rating is a little high. Ray, the receptionist is SO cool. He provides exemplary service. There are body odor smells in the room. Gross. There are no paper towels.

Highly recommended for the price point.
It has everything expected of a good hostel — comfortable rooms and beds, good service, good location.
It is tucked in an alley just opp Beppu Tower.

This hostel is super cute and comfortable. Just under 5000¥, you can enjoy super beautiful night view of Yufuin. Moreover, natural hot spring is available 24 hours.

This place is a gem and so is the host, Satomi! Very simple living to be sure, with an outdoor kitchen and limited bathing time, but nice beds with curtains and extremely convenient to the airport.

My favourite place I've stayed at in Japan — a real rustic gem with the friendliest and most welcoming host and a real homey feel.

Great location near Anbo and Anbo Harbor, with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even though we didn’t speak the same language.

We were very excited, and we fully understand that the cat zone belongs to the cat shelter, not the accommodation. We could look through the glass and see the cats looking very happy and healthy.

Although it's a compact accommodation, the location offers exceptional convenience. Guests have easy access to a MaxValu grocery store for quick meal preparation.
