1) Location is a little hard to find if you reach in the night and if you are driving. Made 2 rounds before we managed to figure out the path that leads to the house.

We had an amazing experience at 竹屋! The location couldn't be better – literally steps from Yufuin station, and there's a charming 'secret path' connecting it directly.

The hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable. The owner made sure we have enough towels, toothbrushes and toilet paper in between each cleaning.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at — very clean, staff is kind and friendly, nice study/work area, extensive book collection, and toiletries and laundry available.

I had a lovely stay at this place! It's just a quick 10-minute stroll to the subway and bus stops, making it super convenient to get around.

A fantastic place for its location, facilities and cleanliness. It’s also pretty good value—we got a private room with breakfast included.

To be honest I found the most lovely people there. Yukie and her family are the warmest people. They drove me back to the closer train station and Yukie was so warm and welcoming.

Hostel Toki is a great place to stay in Fukuoka. It is located in a great area and close to many bus stops. The employees there are very kind.

Amazing host, very welcoming, kind and gentle and super helpful! The hostel has an incredibly relaxing vibe, it's cozy, warm and clean. All-around a great bang for your buck.

Situated in the heart of Nagasaki, a short bus/tram ride away from Nagasaki station, a minute walk to Dejima and a relatively short bus/tram ride to popular spots such as the Peace park/museum and

Stayed here for three days.
Rooms — clean and nice, with comfortable and wide bunk beds. Having only four people in room is also really good as it doesn't become crowded and noisy.

The bed is long enough, but too narrow. The ladder is also too narrow. The stairs suck! Four flights. No elevator. The kitchen is nice, but is it ample for the amount of people staying?

The location was amazing. It’s so close to Shinchi Chinatown, and you can walk to Glover Garden or Nagasaki station. And don’t forget to try Nagasaki Kakuni manju, the main store is very nearby.

Toshi and his girlfriend/wife (didn't dare to ask though 🙈) are such nice people.

The owner Toshi made the experience incredibly fun off the jump.

I love this place. Might seem old for its price per night, but the place is well maintained. The location is also good, and the staffs are really nice!

This quiet, beautiful old house has so much charm and character, with the view on the sea, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the peaceful rhythm of Iki Island.

4.6 rating is a little high. Ray, the receptionist is SO cool. He provides exemplary service. There are body odor smells in the room. Gross. There are no paper towels.

A bit expensive for à bunk bed. But in the Fukuoka price range. Small communal space, but perfect to meet new People. 2 shared Bathrooms and shower in the building. The room was clean.

This quiet and rustic observatory is a great change of pace when visiting Japan.

Family of 3 — Our stay at Minami Aso Luna Hotel was amazing and unforgettable.

Very clean, very cozy, very friendly staff, close to Aso station, restaurants, convenience store and onsen, I couldn't recommend it more! There is a shared kitchen, a coin washing machine available.

Wonderful little lodge at the foot of mt. Aso, a 5 minute walk form Aso station.
The rooms and facilities are very clean (almost compulsively so) and well-maintained.

We found this hotel online and booked a double room on the 8th floor. It's the only guestroom on that floor so it's very private and quiet. This hotel is quite new.

Friendly service, amazing reception (Miyu-san was very friendly and professional! Thank you Miyu-san! ), comfortable stay. Highly recommended. Great location.

It's clean, the lobby has all the basic kitchrn amenities one needs, it's within walking distance of the Peace Park, the Peace Museum.

If you make it to iki: go to this place! Sleeping in a historic building in the harbor! A great restaurant next door and, to make life a bit easier, they can help you in English :-)

We decided to stay on Iki island without knowing too much about it. We were blown away with its beauty and the hotel we decided to stay at for our short stay.

Amazing experience! I really enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great during my visit, so I spent more time indoors – but the hostel is very cozy and I felt really comfortable there.

The host and her mother were amazing hosts one of the best we have had. They made the stay! She gave amazing recommendations and was on hand to help whenever we needed her, (and we needed her a lot😂).

This place is a gem and so is the host, Satomi! Very simple living to be sure, with an outdoor kitchen and limited bathing time, but nice beds with curtains and extremely convenient to the airport.

My favourite place I've stayed at in Japan — a real rustic gem with the friendliest and most welcoming host and a real homey feel.
