Wonderful place to stay, a bit quiet and pleasant with great views. You have to be careful with food though, not much is available nearby and you are screwed if you are a vegetarian/Vegan.

Great location. Metal bunk beds creak & grown with every movement.

We slept at Little Asia Guesthouse in Kagoshima for 2 nights in March 2025 in a private bunk bed room.

I spent a Saturday night at Little Asia in December 2024.

Overall is clean for our room.
Shared bathroom and toilet is clean too.
We can use the kitchen for cooking too.
And very near to station, which is convenient.

Perfect stop after 3nights in mountain huts. Female dorm was nothing but comfortable and clean. The ensuite bathroom was tiny but sufficient. There's also another wash basin in the room.

The room was spacious and clean, and it was nice that the toilet and washroom were separate.

I stayed for one night with a friend from August 12th.
The front desk staff and customer service were courteous.

The hostel was clean, and my fellow guests were respectful and quiet.

Amazing guesthouse! Very clean, no smells, no mold issues. Lots of communal spaces, cheap laundry on site with free laundry soap, amazing view, ideal location. What more can I say?

Affordable backpacker hostel in Kumamoto. Masa and Tomo were lovely hosts and made me feel very welcomed and accommodated.

It is a conveniently located hostel very close to downtown. The staff are friendly and highly knowledgeable about the local history of Kumamoto. The facility is neat and clean.

The location is perfect. Close to a bike renting place, close to anbo dock, close to a bus stop leading to yakusugi land for hiking and the yakusugi museum.

I recently stayed at Fukuoka Guest House Little Asia, and I had a fantastic experience.

By far my favourite accomodation I've stayed in, in all of Japan. This tradition Japanese Ghibli-esqu guest house is 150 years old and owned by the same family for generations.

A bit dilapidated but cheap, and there are bicycles available for free! Also, the onsen is open all night.
