We had one night and 2 meals.
A very elegant and nice clean hotel with helpful staff. You wake up with a stunning view!
It is a hidden gem in Aso.

Did a horse back ride only. Took the 30 minute trail which was interesting. Very friendly personnel and well trained horses that you get to control on your own.

This review pertains to the onsen, accessible with an onsen pass. I arrived on foot from Kurokawa, a pleasant thirty-minute walk.

This is a quick review of our stay at the end of Nov 2025.
Room: a little bit dated but clean.

The room is spacious. Service is excellent, all staff are super nice and friendly and professional. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had in Japan.

Very good location connected to the train station. The bed was on the harder side, including the pillow.

Not sure there's much "premium" about this hotel. The rooms and furniture exhibit signs of aging, despite being quite comfy.

Great breakfast with enormous food selection. Great baths (3pm-10am) with sauna room. Great location — above subway — 29 minute walk to sumo. Yukata and slippers provided.

Service is excellent, staff could speak English which made questions easier, food was excellent. The cheesecake was superb. Melts in your mouth. The lunch set (Prefix Course) was good value.

Wonderful hotel, absolutely spotless and the room was so large! We had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel is also super close to Hakata station so a great location for any day trips.

ROOMS: spacious and clean, not extremely spacious but convenient. Beds with different type of mattresses — one is harder than another but pillows are comfortable.

Location was excellent—near transportation and shopping. Staff went above and beyond, helping us track down our daughter’s phone (left in a cab! ) Buffet breakfast offered many tasty options.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at FAV LUX Nagasaki. The neighborhood is amazing:full of charm, great spots to explore, and a really nice atmosphere that made our trip even more enjoyable.

Excellent in all respects! Stayed here for 2 nights in Feb 2026. Paid $138.29 CAD/night.
Hotel is very new, clean, modern, and spacious.

Hotel is conveniently located next to Oita Station and Amu shopping plaza. Plenty of restaurants, cafe, retail and convenience stores around the area.

Liked — Clean room with 4 pillows. Fast Wi-Fi. Strong hot shower pressure. Cool aircon. Rooftop outdoor onsen. Good location on top of JR station and malls. Luggage rack.

We initially thought we had booked a room with a private onsen, but upon arrival, we discovered there was no such booking. Instead, we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor without a private onsen.

This inn is in a very beautiful onsen town. The room and the service are definately 5 stars. The onsen rooms are also very nice and relaxing. As to the dinner it is decent but not amazing.

This is a beautiful hotel located within a short walking distance to all of the main attractions of Yufuin.

This is the first time to visit the Fukuoka, and this hotel is the first hotel after landing. We lend the car and drive there from the Fukuoka airport.

The rooms were very spacious and the outdoor bath had a great view. The food at dinner and breakfast was well proportioned.

Our stay at Hanayoshi Onsen Hotel was fantastic. The room was a top-notch Japanese-style suite, beautifully designed and equipped with everything you could possibly need.

We stayed at the Annex building so we had the whole unit for ourselves as well as a private onsen on site. Therefore, this review is for that particular booking.

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Ryokan Yamanami, and it will remain one of our most cherished travel memories.

Hotel absolutely stands out from the countryside with its square windows. A few rooms are big, depends on your package. Views from rooms include the mountains, the fields and a pond.

First, you must be driving as it is in the countryside, and parking is free. It is spotless and new, with a great window view into its surroundings and very peaceful.

We stayed four nights at the Monterey Fukuoka after spending some time in Nagasaki. Do note there are two Monterey properties in the city. So be sure to pick the right one.

Stayed there for a total of 5 nights during a 8D7N trip. Staff were friendly and helpful, amid tension between China and Japan at the moment.

That's a very scenic place. The whole area is plastered with japanese decor details and 'easter-eggs' of small animals. Our room had a private indoor and outdoor onsen with real hot-spring water.

Our flight was delayed and we had a long day in the airport, so we’re late for the dinner.

I went for a quick run around Unzen region today, but ended up running for several miles and got lost on a seemingly desserted mountain road.

The location is excellent for hiking in the area, and good supermarkets. The private bath was a real treat and the place is quiet and spotlessly clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Asogen with our 3yr old daughter. The room was clean and spacious, with a private toilet. The bathhouse was relaxing after a long day.

Nice, spacious, quiet and clean Japanese tatami room but power plugs were not conveniently located, had to either unplug the water boiler that is behind the safe or use the one in the bathroom.

I stayed at Yumerindo for two nights, and it was a really nice place overlooking the river. Two onsen available, both of which I really liked. Food and service were both great.

The inn is the sister property to the ryokan next door. Both are exquisitely designed and built, both the buildings and the grounds.

Quite a distance from bus station, but still reachable by bare foot.
There are various Onsen zone, all are pretty nice (Yes, I tried all. ). You can feel the silent at night.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were attentive, and kind, there were bicycles that were free to rent to get around the city.

The men’s bath & sauna are surprisingly nice for a business hotel, but the women’s area is very disappointing.

The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to a shopping mall and directly connected to the Tianshen Underground Shopping Mall.

This is an amazing hotel. The location is convenient — there is a major subway station in the basement, and there are many shops and restaurants in the building.

We stayed in a beautiful traditional Japanese room and enjoyed excellent kaiseki dinner. The private onsens are a highlight – two of them can be used almost 24 hours a day.

Excellent ryokan to stay and enjoy private onsen bath. The ryokan is super clean, neat and tidy. Dinner and breakfast meals were excellent and delicious. Staffs are super friendly.

After shopping we drove to the ryokan 旅館 Oncri, located in Furuyu Onsen 古湯温泉, which is recognized as a beauty hot spring.
