Nice people, a family owned business, with breakfast and dinner, food is great, I especially liked their local chicken dish. Beautiful area with great ocean views.

We immediately received a warm welcome and a tour of the property. The family owners are incredibly hospitable.

I stayed in a Japanese-style tatami room and had a really wonderful experience. The room was spacious, and incredibly clean.
The decor of the accommodation was great simple and very relaxing.

Manten-no-niwa was such a lovely place to stay!

My recent stay at the Grand Mercure Beppu Bay Resort & Spa was absolutely outstanding, primarily due to the exceptional staff who consistently went the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience.

We had a wonderful experience during our recent stay at the Grand Mercure Hotel this spring.

Hotel is just opposite to the station and supermarket. Night gowns and other amenities are to be borrowed at the reception by the elevator. Though there is no stairway, no long wait for the elevator.

Lovely hotel with a lot of great amenities. The atmosphere is a little bland, and the rooms look a little dated, but the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are a bit old and not very well maintained but clean.
Service is super nice and helpful with any of your requests or questions. Location is very good considering the price.

If you dont mind a bit old hotel and not very flashy rooms this may be ok for you.
The price is more than reasonable especially considering other hotels 🛏️ prices during this holidays time.

I stayed here for several nights to return home!

This was my first time on a business trip and I stayed in a double room alone for two consecutive nights.

The place was very lovely and clean! I booked a Japanese Tatami room and the price was really good and have had no discomfort there. There’s Music night in the cafe every Friday and Saturday.

This place is near to the central kagoshima Chuo station. A very friendly staff explained to me the rules and show me around the lastly served me a free complementary coffee.

This is near a train station to Tenjin. The other train station to hakata is still a 1 km walk from here.
Everything you need is in this hotel. It is a home away from home. Their breakfast is good.

Very close to the train station and not far from Hakata for the price. I don’t think you can beat it whatsoever.
I came in right on the dot and the cleaning lady was still finishing my room.

A nicely designed hotel with very comfortable rooms and views over the Naka River. It has a modern and minimalist touch. The lobby has turntables and displays a collection of vintage rock LPs.

Very clean and with spectacular view of the Rivera. Its location is very centralized. Easy access to the Nakasu food stalls street. Walking distance to Tenjin underground shopping center.

Everything was quite good! It was easily accessible to subway station and Hakata as well. Cleaning and facilities were excellent. Especially all staff was absolutely kind and helpful all the time.

Plentiful bathroom amenities; no need to wait for anyone to finish.

Great location and a great price!
The staff was very nice, the facilities were clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a lot of space.
You also get free coffee that's actually really fresh.

I love this place. Might seem old for its price per night, but the place is well maintained. The location is also good, and the staffs are really nice!

Stayed at Grand Base Hakata for almost a week and it felt more like a Japanese apartment than a hotel—which I actually liked.

Cosy, super clean hostel in an historic neighborhood.
The hostel is on a narrow one way street running to Gion Street.

The rooms were clean and nice. The location is central. The only downside was that there was only one toilet. Also, the internet was very bad. Other than that, there were no problems. Thank you.

Quick place to stay while you wait for your main stay hotel while in Fukuoka. The bathroom fan didn’t work so the toilet aroma stuck around in the bathroom. Overall.

Room is enough to accommodate 3 persons. There are washing machine & styler in the room — very convenient. There is also a nearby convenient store and whole in the wall restaurants.

There are 2 properties, and of course, Murphys Law, we went to the wrong one first and were scared because they did not have a reservation for us. Lol.

Mixed Experience – Great Breakfast, Poor Front Desk Service.
First impressions matter, and unfortunately the front desk left a very poor one.

A great one-night stay in the city! Was lucky to nab a room at a lower than usual rate. The facilities were kept clean and tidy, spacious shower rooms, large washroom area.

Really clean and there’s a lot of space! There is area to open your luggage to pack again, area for you to sit, make up area.

Great location. Conveniently located in the vicinity of Hakata Bus, Train, and Subway station, and it's on the quiter side.

We had an amazing experience with this hotel. Not only was everything clean, and orderly, but the service they offered was overwhelmingly pleasant.
