No! Just no! Worst hotel we have stayed in in Japan. Dirty in the room: mould in bathroom, someone else’s hair and used contact lense on the floor and not cleaned up in 5 nights! Tiny hot rooms with noisy air con. No view at all, just at a wall max 3m away! Tiny bathroom. Breakfast exceptionally poor. No nice bread or pastries, no egg station, fruit not good, small coffee’s and you had to tidy your bits away cafe style! The bar charges you a service charge to use it as well!

Well situated: near the famous market, great restaurants in the area and not far to a metro station to get to the shrines and temples on the eastern side of Kyoto.
Breakfast buffet had a decent choice. No decaf coffee and juice options limited. It was self clear (fine with us).
Room was a decent size, with a view of construction next door. Not that we were in the room very much.

The bedroom had a very good size and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was well equipped, though a bit small. The room smell good.
The staff was very helpful and gave good touristic advice.
The bar serves excellent Japanese gin.
The metro station is a few minutes away. There is an excellent Bakery-cafe next to the hotel.

The entrance of the hotel has large black doors that will automatically open when motion is detected. For a first timer, I was lost wondering where to get in.
Reception staff are friendly when asked for help.
Location is good with shops.
Train station is close by, maybe 5 minutes walk. I would not want to lug my luggage there. If it was just a hand carry bag or back pack, then it is fine. When you are familiar with the area, it gets easier.

Enjoyed our stay. Room is spacious compared to Japanese standard. Breakfast buffet was perfect before heading out the door. Wish it would start at 6 am instead of 7am. Walking distance to Nishiki market and other shopping areas. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second visit to the hotel. This time we had a twin room as it was bigger. Unfortunately even though we asked the beds to be made up with double sheets and duvets this was not possible. As last time there was no drawer space to place clothing which ended up on the floor of the hanging area. We returned because there was a shortage of accommodation by the time we knew our travel dates, also in a very good location. As before the breakfast was very good. Good Wi-Fi. Reception staff were as helpful as they could be but their understanding of what we were asking was not always good. The.
Room was spotless and was very well cleaned. Having complimentary bottles of water each day was very useful.

Great location, comfortable quiet rooms and excellent showers.
However breakfast was not a pleasant experience: little choice of non japanese food, No toaster or such so instead of toast you get a warm slice of bread. It was very busy and assuming that it might be quicker to free a table by asking the hotel guests to clear their trays ourselves we did not appreciate to have to stack dirty dishes. Never had to do that in any hotel we stayed. Also ghe cover charge in the bar for hotel guests is ludicrous. When made aware of it before ordering, we left and were not the only ones.

A wonderful hotel. We spent 5 nights in September 2024 and had a very positive experience. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was great too. There was an excellent variety of dishes. Self service laundry was very useful. Washing costs 400 Yen. Drying costs 100 Yen for 30 minutes. Location was excellent. Only a few minutes walk to the subway and buses. Market and restaurants are only a few minutes walking distance. Rooms are very generous by Japanese standards but note that there isn't a much of a view from the double rooms. Overall an ex excellent choice for Kyoto.

This hotel is situated at a busy street with a very nice Italian restaurant very close by. The by far the best with this hotel room is the large shower. It has also a bathtub for those who still uses one. The room was not beautiful but was of acceptable size. An odd thing was that all our hotel room was equipped with was a small loose air conditioner despite a normal well working air condition system. We had a large twin bed that was very hard, and the pillows could also have been softer. The view from the hotelroom was anything but beautiful. The breakfast buffet lacked decent bread and cheese.
