A very comfortable stay and one I would happily return to on a future trip to Sapporo.

Great clean modern and central hotel. Perfect for us as we were taking a break between skiing Niseko and Furano.

Hotel are old, they spend lots effort for every tourist feel comfortable. This is good.

As a Dormy Inn Premium, the food was excellent. Breakfast had a good spread of fresh sashimi and other traditional japanese options.

GRIDS PREMIUM Hotel Otaru is a cozy boutique hotel conveniently located about a 10 minute walk from Otaru Station and within walking distance of the Otaru Canal.

Duplex room is quite spacious for packing stuffs and the upper floor is not crowded too (won't bump your head).

Excellent stay — everything was top notch. The rooms were faultless, breakfast had good variety, staff were friendly.

We specifically want to come back to Hakodate just to be able to stay at this hotel again! Would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here with my husband and two friends. The rooms were spacious and clean, the hot springs very relaxing, and the food was superb!

Stayed for just under 2 weeks in Feb 2026. Interesting Pompidou Centre industrial look to the public areas, but rooms extremely well equipped and very comfortable.

Great hotel and amazing staff. Recommend a suite for more space if desired. Shuttle service to mountain and town is super easy and convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

That environment and the decoration are excellent.
We have decent buffet in Mori restaurant, highly recommend to try the seafood scallop, pizza and the steak from Hokkaido.

It is all about the food!
This Onsen had a modern lobby with some fun features — indoor fire pit, audiophile listening room. What made it stand out was the amazing buffet dinner and breakfast.

During our trip from Hakodate to Furano, we planned a stop at Lake Shikotsu and spent a night at Tsuruga Resort Mizunouta—an absolutely incredible onsen retreat.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We felt a bit foolish as one of only a few foreigners staying here but all of the staff were so patient and kind with our poor Japanese

We stayed here for a few days recently and this hotel, was quite different from other hotels, we had stayed in in Hokkaido. It is on the BIG! side.

This hotel was located on the hill in Shari-cho. Everything here is huge by Japanese standards. The lobby was massive. The rooms were large, quiet, clean but not quite warm enough.

We had a great 3 night stay here but I will note that it feels like a 4 star hotel trying too hard to be luxury and falling a little short.
Highlights: rooftop onsen is paradise and very clean.

Spacious room with balcony and great seaview! The hotel  also offers a free one hour private bath. The pictures of the hotel were taken from the pier in front of the hotel.

During my stay in May 2025, I was impressed by the exceptional service and cleanliness. The bath was spacious, well designed, and offered an ocean view, with water of excellent mineral quality.

My stay at Nukumori no Yado Furukawa (ぬくもりの宿 ふる川) was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, everything about this place felt warm, peaceful, and full of heart.

Very clean and new room, facilities, and sauna. Extremely friendly, helpful, and kind staff. They even helped me when I became sick to reschedule the next hotel I went.

An exceptional hotel. Some reviews said the rooms were small for luggage however if you’re bringing carry on and personal item only — there’s plenty of room. The onsen on site was a game changer.

Lovely onsen hotel experience. Stayed here for one night. I went looking for an onsen experience, but having tattoos, I didn’t want to bother with a public one or having to put on tattoo covers.

I stayed here for one night to explore Jozankei and enjoy some high-end traditional Japanese hospitality. I'm pleased to say that Grand Blissen Hotel did not disappoint in either of these aspects.

Absolutely perfect 10/10 experience. Our room had a beautiful private bath that had temperature adjusted herbal water, and you could add more herbal water to adjust the temperature.

Stayed 1N in a Premium Room (with in-room onsen bath area) as base to explore Jozankei area for 1st time (60min bus ride from sapporo).

Rooms are a bit tired and scuffed but amenities, services, and baths are all amazing!

Some reviewers here are so entitled. This hotel was by far the best I’ve gone including one of those branded hotels like ritz. TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY — PLEASE DO GO AHEAD WITH HALF BOARD OPTIONS.

Had a pleasant check-out experience at Holiday Inn & Suites.
Ms. Yukari at the Front Office was very helpful, professional, and attentive.

We had a lovely stay at Holiday Inn Sapporo Odori Park. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the toilet was exceptionally clean — something my family really appreciates when travelling.

My wife & I along with our 2 children (10 & 13) stayed for 7 nights in mid December 2025.

Pros.
We booked a twin room and there was a lot of space, which is rare for Japan. The room felt comfortable and not cramped.
The view was a highlight.

They have daily tea coffee service in the Guest lounge on the top floor.

An older hotel that shows its high class. The mural on the ceiling of the reception is the first indication of the art and aesthetic of the venue.

No frills, straightforward capsule type accommodation for men. Highly recommend for solo dude travellers. Go for the superior cabin option for a tad bit more privacy and space.

Great value for money & suprisingly very quiet.

The moment I walked into the hotel, I loved it already! It's so spacious, the lobby smells great, and I love the interiors!

This might be the top of the luxury hotels in the city. It is gigantic, with a conference centre and three restaurants added around the base of the two towers of rooms.
