We had such a good stay here. It's a bit difficult to reach especially due to the heavy snow slowing down the trains and roads but we got there eventually.

Excellent stay at Jyozankei Daiichi Hotel Suizantei.

Jyozankei Daiichi Hotel Suizantei is a very nice place to stay for a rest. I had a very pleasant day here, you can take a bath, and the hotel also offers free food in the lounge.

Chalet Ivy is a beautifully designed hotel, situated by the river and an easy walk into Jizankei.

This stay at Chatlet Ivy Jozankei Onsen was one of the best stays in any luxury boutique hotel around the world.

That environment and the decoration are excellent.
We have decent buffet in Mori restaurant, highly recommend to try the seafood scallop, pizza and the steak from Hokkaido.

It is all about the food!
This Onsen had a modern lobby with some fun features — indoor fire pit, audiophile listening room. What made it stand out was the amazing buffet dinner and breakfast.

Absolutely perfect 10/10 experience. Our room had a beautiful private bath that had temperature adjusted herbal water, and you could add more herbal water to adjust the temperature.

Stayed 1N in a Premium Room (with in-room onsen bath area) as base to explore Jozankei area for 1st time (60min bus ride from sapporo).

We had a great experience here. It was one of my best hotel experiences I ever had and I stayed at hundreds of hotels and resort over the world.

Stunning property. Staff were very friendly, informative and efficient. This place is terrific value for money. The room size was huge with a sitting area as well as two extra large single beds.

Come here for the Onsen facilities and resort feel. It is based in a quiet village not too far from Sapporo.
The hotel itself is great. The room has a private Onsen.

The rooms are a bit old but it’s very nice. The service is fast. The food is not amazing, I have had better food in my Japan trip. Nevertheless, good value.

Great hotel but isolated location. Huge hotel with main wing and annex, but you never see the crowds other than during breakfast and when using the onsen.

Definitely enjoyed the washitsu, the welcome manju was a very nice touch.

This hotel is very nice and gives you an authentic Japanese countryside experience. The atmosphere is peaceful and truly captures the charm of rural Japan.

Ignore the low reviews, our experience was excellent. We used the free shuttle from Odori Station, and although it was a little late, the driver was kind and working hard on his own.

I had an exceptional stay at the Hotel Shula no Yu, which exceeded our expectations in most ways.

We stayed here for three nights with our Shiba Inu and loved the exclusivity of having the entire three-bedroom house to ourselves.

We’ve stayed here for 3 nights during the heavier snowing days. The hotel is grand and with so many guests, thus every time when you have breakfast, dinner (buffet) is like in market.

The hotel provides a shuttle bus pick-up from Sapporo Station (Bus Terminal), but reservations can only be made by phone call. Email requests are not accepted.

We stayed in Apartment 106 of Few Days Condominium for 2 nights in December 2024 in order to visit Jozankei and the surrounding area.
