Cheap hotels in Hokkaido

The lounge is great for hanging out. The shared kitchen is very functional and clean. The location is ideal.

We really enjoyed staying at K’s house in Asahidake. Our private room with bathroom was small and essential, but very nice, extremely clean and comfortable, and we had a nice view of the forest.

Great location right across from Obihiro Station. Front desk staff were efficient. The hotel also provided a good selection of amenities available near the front desk.

Second Richmond Hotel we've stayed in. Would definitely stay in this chain across Japan as it offers great value for money; feels.
Like it should be a 4* rating. Staff are very hospitable and helpful.

The place is run by a family, and they’ll treat you like you’re part of it too.
The location is great too.

Lovely hosts who care about their guests, very cute cat.
Great location, and rooms are comfy and spacious.

The guesthouse is not far from the Minami Hiragishi eki. The bed is comfortable. The shower is relaxing and soothing. The most impressive is the hospitality and warmth from the owner, Yoshie san.

The owner is very informative and friendly. I was able to tell stories with her. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the place.

Stayed here for one night and it's been a good experience. First of all the staff is lovely. Helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The location is about a 7min walk from the train station.

For the price, it is excellent.
The room was spacious and Japanese style. Not spotless, but clean enough. Washroom was ample sized. It was in a quiet area and we could not hear our neighbours.

We didn't have a booking. We just drove by and asked if there were any vacancies. It was already pretty late. Luckily they did and 5 of us stayed here. We were 3 adults and 2 toddlers.

Very nice and cozy stay near Japan's northmost. Meals are delicious. Will definitely come again some time during summer in the future.

Staying in many capsule hotels in Japan this was my favorite. Their lounge area is big and provide many conversation starter props. I meet a few people there.

Best place to take a rest for sole travelers. There is no bathroom in the room. You must use bathroom, shower with together. But so clean and separated space.

No frills, straightforward capsule type accommodation for men. Highly recommend for solo dude travellers. Go for the superior cabin option for a tad bit more privacy and space.

Great value for money & suprisingly very quiet.
-I stayed 3 days here in the Superior Cabin; the room is private, has space for luggage storage.

This hotel is in an excellent location for our cycling trip that started from Asahikawa to Cape Soya, the northernmost tip of Hokkaido.

Spent 3 nights in this hotel and couldn't recommend it more. Super value for money. Position is right beside the main train/bus station and opposite a big mall.

We just stayed here for two nights and we enjoyed the very different experience than just staying in a usual western-style hotel. The most outstanding is for sure the lovely host Kudo-san.

Everything in Shabby House is from care and warmth. From the moment owner-san picked me up from Sapporo Station to his very delicious breakfast. He is very generous with his care, thank you very much.

This is likely Kitami's most boutique hotel, featuring just four rooms per floor and 23 in total. While compact, the rooms are fully equipped and immaculately clean.

A perfectly satisfactory hotel for the traveller. Only 4 rooms per floor. Smallish but perfectly comfortable rooms with sufficiently sized bathroom by Japanese standards.

Excellent accommodation — even if a bit tight. The onsite onsen is the best.

Walking distance to slopes, Great customer service. Rooms are clean.

I had a wonderful stay at Dormy Inn Obihiro. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel had many amenities to make my stay comfortable.

Came during winter un feb. Awesome bath area with simple rooms.
Love the view of the acommodation.
The bath area is well equiped with all the required items. It comes with a outdoor bath area as well.

Super nice Rooms. Just the esentials. All you need! Fridge, waterboiler, microwave enought to make breakfast. I will come again!

Absolutely loved my stay at Sho inn! I attended for this year’s Snow Festival in Sapporo, and it did not disappoint. Management is excellent as well. Will be returning again!

I used it on Hokkaido bike touring.
This time I had a small bike and there was no rain forecast, so I parked it in the parking lot area, next to the wall of the building.

A very nice onsen with bubles, hot onsen, cold pool and sauna! Amazing very relaxing.

This was a fantastic place to be while exploring Rishiri island! Toshi and his wife are so lovely! So clean, welcoming and organised! Highly recommend 😉😉😉

I stayed 3 nights at the Rishiri Greenhill Inn to cycle around the Island and climb Mt. Rishiri. I enjoyed sleeping with open window and hear the ocean.

After revamp, this hotel (onsen ryokan) is open again! ✨✨Owner and staffs are super friendly and welcome their guests with very genuine smile. Not to mention they speak really good english too!

Satisfactory, with surprisingly good Wi-Fi. Main downsides is that you have to lay out your own futon.

We picked this place as a hub for skiing. It worked okay, everything is about an hour away for skiing. The host is super friendly!

I really enjoyed my stay with Ryu and Chi. From the very first day I felt comfortable and was able to do my own thing – just the way I had wished for.

The staff were so lovely and pleasant to deal with. They also helped with any request needed during the stay.

This is a great value for money hotel right in the centre of Asahikawa, with convenient parking if you have a car, right next door. The rooms are a bit on the small side but very cosy.

The room is clean and they have a cleaning service every day as you need. The location is near Odori Park and many food shops around there. The staff is willing to help you.

Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for a few nights during the Sapporo Autumn Food Festival (which is also great! ) Great location just a couple blocks from Odori Park.

We stayed at Comfort Hotel Kitami during our Eastern Hokkaido Road Trip, and it turned out to be a very convenient and comfortable stop for our family.

Backed by a major Western company, this compact hotel offers a well-organised experience. Parking is free and there are three car parks nearby.

Hostel nearby minami otaru station, from station choose turn right route, this route better than other. The way to reach this hostel up and down, will be challenging if u bring big luggage.

We had a big room with 4 beds and we are very happy with the ambiance.
There is a kitchen for us to prepare and have our breakfast.
It is a walking distance from the main road.
