Cheap hotels in Hokkaido

Great location, not easy to find if driving (Google maps gets really confused when driving), but walking is definitely no problem to find.

I rented a touring ski package from them, including Ski’s boots, Beacon, probe, shovel and everything was amazing. This place is a hidden gem.

I had a pleasant 4-night stay at this guesthouse! If I ever return to Asahikawa, I will definitely stay there again!

I book the double bed room. The price is reasonable, the room is fit for one or two persons.
The staff is nice. The location is near nijo market, but a bit far from other transportation.

The hostel is located strategically, right in front of Nijo market, the morning fish market. There are also several food options nearby.

Finding this place was easy. The entrance to the hostel is up some steep stairs, and the checkin is actually on the 1st floor/bar/cafe area.

Really good Hostel run by passionate people. This is a place made for backpackers and other people who like it simple. Super cheap and still has all the amenities you might need (great bidet toilets).

I stayed at this guesthouse for three nights and had a wonderful time!

+ a very chill, easygoing and friendly owner who can speak english!

One of the best places we’ve stayed in a while.
The space is small but does not feel cramped.
Thanks to the friendliness and energy of the owner the atmosphere is very light and relaxing.

The price was low and there was an air conditioner, so I was able to stay comfortably even in August.

Rental a car to drive in Sapporo and travel with a family is perfect hotel to stay.
Parking are available too.
This place is a bit small but has complete fully equipped.

Loved the place. Its a bit far out and needs a car, however, its was wheelchair friendly (my wife was on wheelchair). Lift accesibility ok.
What really impress me the most is the host.

Stayed here two nights — booked 7 rooms.
Great location, near JR station. Wonderful and clean rooms, friendly staff most of the time. Breakfast was amazing!

This is the best backpacker hostel I have ever been so far. Simply put, it feels like behind at home rather than in a hostel. I just loved that place! I wish I could have stayed longer.

Its the whole atmosphere for me. I rarely write reviews but this homestay is something I cant forget.

Stayed two nights here and everything is very clean and works beautifully well. The kitchen and lounge area are especially welcoming features for someone who’s been traveling longer than a weekend.

I stayed here during Golden Week with a large dog. On the first day, I checked in after 9:00 pm, but they were very kind and even prepared a bath for me even though it was late.

Spent 2 days there.
Very quiet area.
Lovely people there, the house is clean and welcoming and the service was perfect.

I am happy to stay here in a single Room. It was a last min booking thru Agoda, due to Typhoon today 3 June 2026. Easy to reach with Limousine Bus.
The Place is Clean n Tidy.

Lovely guesthouse for a road trip! We especially love the spacious bathroom. Convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants are nearby.

I spent 3 nights in Female Dorm. I like my F11 bed (bottom) that facing the window. There was space to put my luggage between bed & window. I feel like I have my private area.

I liked the hostel and would stay there again. The common areas are very nice and geared towards the solo traveler who doesn’t mind running into other spirited adventurers.

The outside doesn't look so great, but the inside is really cozy! Sadly I forgot the name of the woman who welcomed us, but she was really nice and sweet! It was a pleasure to talk with her!

I had a wonderful stay here! The owner is incredibly sweet, cute, friendly, and super helpful—she even speaks fluent English, which made communication so easy.

Very nice premises, strategically located next to Lawson. Very convenient.
Very clean and very quiet place.
The staff (or maybe the owner) super friendly.

From outside, the exterior looks like a container. But the interior is wooden material. They provide mineral water, coffe, tea & cookies. I feel comfort to spend 2 nights in here.

It's a clean and lovely unit, with one car park lot assigned just beside the apartment building. Good for day trips to shiretoko, lake akan and nearby attractions.

Great AirBnB that is dog friendly. Host was kind enough to turn the heater on prior to our arrival. All the amenities you need are available and with two bunk beds, it can easily host four people.

The hotel room is compact, neat, clean, and comfortable. They also provide breakfast and the breakfast selection is quite a lot, and it taste good!

Our stay was okay. The staff are really friendly and they provide amenities and also free drinks. It’s a little old fashioned and the bathroom was a little small but overall worth the price.
