SPA Hotels in Hokkaido

The room is one of the smallest I’ve stayed in Japan, but the amenities are fantastic. Hot spring was great and the staff was very friendly.

Best Super Hotel we stayed at so far! Even though it was a Super Hotel, the staff who welcomed us was so warm and friendly and spoke enough English for a tourist's information.

I had a wonderful stay at Dormy Inn Obihiro. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel had many amenities to make my stay comfortable.

Came during winter un feb. Awesome bath area with simple rooms.
Love the view of the acommodation.
The bath area is well equiped with all the required items. It comes with a outdoor bath area as well.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Emisia Sapporo.
The staff were absolutely the best — friendly, professional, and always helpful. The hotel itself is great, very comfortable, and well maintained.

I stayed two nights at Hotel Emisia and found the room comfortable, even though it was a bit too warm. The breakfast was varied and delicious. I also tried the local specialty, katsugen.

Had a pleasant check-out experience at Holiday Inn & Suites.
Ms. Yukari at the Front Office was very helpful, professional, and attentive.

We had a lovely stay at Holiday Inn Sapporo Odori Park. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the toilet was exceptionally clean — something my family really appreciates when travelling.

This hotel is exactly as its name suggests, comfortable and relaxing. The overall vibe there is calm with cute decorations.

It's hard to compete with the value this hotel provides. I tend to look for the cheapest hotels possible when traveling Japan and this was the cheapest by a good margin in my time traveling in 2025.

My wife & I along with our 2 children (10 & 13) stayed for 7 nights in mid December 2025.

Pros.
We booked a twin room and there was a lot of space, which is rare for Japan. The room felt comfortable and not cramped.
The view was a highlight.

Great location. Close to Bay Area or Hakodate station area. Great access to Mt Hakodate as well.

I had an unforgettable stay at La Vista hotel with breathtaking views of the Hakodate Ropeway and the sea. The onsen on the top floor was a serene experience with its panoramic vistas.

Awesome hotel. Roof top onsen has ice bath, sauna, one indoor onsen and one outdoor onsen. Free to use massage chairs and a working area overlooking the ocean on the roof.

From Aug 31 — Sept 2, 2024, my wife and I stayed here in two different rooms. We always like its free Ramen, public bath, and breakfast.

I used it on Hokkaido bike touring.
This time I had a small bike and there was no rain forecast, so I parked it in the parking lot area, next to the wall of the building.

A very nice onsen with bubles, hot onsen, cold pool and sauna! Amazing very relaxing.

This was the very first hotel I booked for our trip to Hokkaido.

I drive around Japan every year and visit different places and stayed in all sorts of hotels and resorts.

Kimamaya was the perfect place for our ski vacation. We stayed 5 nights and the entire stay was amazing.

Stayed at Hotel Kimamaya for the first time, and hopefully not the last. This is a truly personal boutique hotel, with an amazing team that made our time in Niseko unforgettable.

We recently stayed at Hinode Hills Niseko Village for 3 nights, and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish.

We came here during the summer season. We had an amazingly comfortable time. The room itself was very big and had everything we could wish for.

Very calm and peaceful place. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with traditional bedding. The beds were very comfortable, and we had full control over the AC, which was a nice bonus.

A delightful stay! The staff was more than generous with their help via email prior to my arrival and throughout my stay.

Fantastic modern hotel. We stayed in a suite with two beds + our own bath. Truly wonderful experience in a beautiful hotel tucked in the folds of a mountain.

It was an impeccable and brilliant onsen hotel experience for my family.

During our trip from Hakodate to Furano, we planned a stop at Lake Shikotsu and spent a night at Tsuruga Resort Mizunouta—an absolutely incredible onsen retreat.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. We felt a bit foolish as one of only a few foreigners staying here but all of the staff were so patient and kind with our poor Japanese

We stayed in a room with a private onsen. Shower was next to the onsen on a glass door enclosed balcony, which could be opened to get the open air experience and a sunset view over the lake.

We stayed one night on the way back from Niseko to Chitose Airport.
Glad we stayed!
I did not expect anything, but it was right choice and beautiful locations.

Not cheap but worth it! Great rooms + onsen + Japanese dinner suggested (the menu is not updating daily unfortunately). Free ramen & wine bar by night and snacks during the day.

I love this hotel! they offer free welcome pastries, free snacks, free ice cream and popsicles, free ramen, private and public onsens, and more.

Exceptional serve and food quality. Each night we had Kinki fish which was cooked to perfection.

I'm surprised this hotel hasn't been reviewed on TripAddvisor in 6 years, but we had a lovely 3-night experience at Kagariya. Highlights:
1) Food. We had breakfast and dinner included in our stay.

First of all, I would like to say that this hotel is absolutely beautiful. It has a very warm and cozy atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to relax.

We stayed in a spacious traditional room with a private onsen overlooking the forest nearby. Incredible view — such beauty!
Nevertheless some of the inventory could use a renovation.

Our stay at The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort at Lake Toya was easily one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip.

This hotel stay was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect for exploring the lake and surrounding town on foot, with so much beauty to discover in the area.

We had a really solid stay at Sapporo Hotel by Granbell.

Hotel has spacious and clean rooms.

I cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible team at FAV LUX. Late at night, past 10 PM, our family faced an urgent medical emergency.

The room itself was fantastic and incredibly well-designed for a group of 4 pax. The bedding was very comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night's sleep.

Very good place for its price. Nice, clean rooms. There is a small onsen.
