Great location. Close to Bay Area or Hakodate station area. Great access to Mt Hakodate as well.

I had an unforgettable stay at La Vista hotel with breathtaking views of the Hakodate Ropeway and the sea. The onsen on the top floor was a serene experience with its panoramic vistas.

From Aug 31 — Sept 2, 2024, my wife and I stayed here in two different rooms. We always like its free Ramen, public bath, and breakfast.

This hotel is surrounded by a plethora of authentic gourmet restaurants.

Amazing experience staying here. The hotel is in such a convenient spot right in the heart of Niseko, with easy access to lifts, restaurants, and everything else.

I stayed at The Vale Niseko for 5 nights, and the overall accommodation experience was fantastic! The room cleanliness was impeccable, and the front desk staff were highly professional and welcoming.

Very calm and peaceful place. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with traditional bedding. The beds were very comfortable, and we had full control over the AC, which was a nice bonus.

A delightful stay! The staff was more than generous with their help via email prior to my arrival and throughout my stay.

Exceptional serve and food quality. Each night we had Kinki fish which was cooked to perfection.

I'm surprised this hotel hasn't been reviewed on TripAddvisor in 6 years, but we had a lovely 3-night experience at Kagariya. Highlights:
1) Food. We had breakfast and dinner included in our stay.

The room is one of the smallest I’ve stayed in Japan, but the amenities are fantastic. Hot spring was great and the staff was very friendly.

Best Super Hotel we stayed at so far! Even though it was a Super Hotel, the staff who welcomed us was so warm and friendly and spoke enough English for a tourist's information.

Short distance from JR station. Assessable to malls, sight seeing & convenience stores. Toilet & room is clean. There’s air purifier too in th room. Staffs approachable & helpful.

What a wonderful experience!

At first I was a little surprised by the price of a room, but after staying I would certainly recommend and I would certainly stay here again.

Great location to the canal and restaurants. Pick up got Kiroro Ski Resort was just around the corner which was the main reason why we stayed here.
3 stars to the room just due to the smell.

Nice hotel with good location closed to the canal and walking distance to Sakaimachi shopping street. There’s a paid parking ¥1500 per night at the hotel premises.

Tomuraushi Onsen was the highlight of our Hokkaido road trip! It is a hidden gem at the end of a mountain road surrounded by rivers and beautiful nature.

Traditional Japanese-style rooms. Very friendly staff. Extensive traditional breakfast and dinner. A remote hotel in the middle of the beautiful Daisetsuzan National Park.

​I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Global View Hakodate. While the hotel provides the reliable comfort you’d expect from a 3-star property, the service is what truly stands out.

The hotel provides excellent service with complete facilities.
The room was very spacious and had a balcony with a beautiful sea view.

Yuyado Daiichi delivers a top-tier, highly authentic ryokan experience. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff makes you feel incredibly welcome with their flawless service.

If we could give this place a 6-star I would! The place is quite isolated (car recommended to visit the area), but offers a calm refuge in nature.

My recent stay at The Lake Suite Ko no Sumika in Hokkaido was absolutely phenomenal and completely exceeded all my expectations.

Excellent onsen hotel with in room bath open air looking into Lake Toya with Mount Yotei in the background in good weather.
I enjoyed the balcony with sofa looking the mountains.

A real gem that feels like home. The team were very passionate and helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean and great breakfast.

Perfect location to get to the ski lifts. There is plenty of parking. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Vincent made the entire process amazing.

Splendid stay here, well appointed large room and comfortable bed. Amenities were good and housekeeping was done well. Location was very quiet. However, service is erratic at times.

Fantastic new hotel! Beds were so comfortable and I had the best sleep. I stayed in late January and loved the location as it was a short walk ~150m (? ) to Hanazono ski lifts.

I am just back from Niseko Japan where I stayed at the Nikko Style Hanazono hotel. If you are headed to Niseko then you are well aware of the seeming endless powder that Niseko is famous for.

Fantastic modern hotel. We stayed in a suite with two beds + our own bath. Truly wonderful experience in a beautiful hotel tucked in the folds of a mountain.

It was an impeccable and brilliant onsen hotel experience for my family.

I stayed and skied here recently. Location is perfect! Its basically a ski in ski out resort, and ski rentals locker and dining facilities are all great.

The resort is just outside the beginner's ski area on the West Side of Rusutsu. You need to take the East Gondola to get to the West side with the better and more exciting runs.

My mum and I stayed 1 night at Queen's Hotel Chitose, since we landed at New Chitose Airport pretty late (~8+ pm), were pretty tired and didn't want to lug our luggage down to Sapporo.

Beautiful Lobby. Room also quite small. Standard Japanese style I assume. Receptionist can speak english. Nearby hotel. Conveniently located near eating spot.

Despite being decades old, the hotel provided a comfortable stay with excellent facilities.

This hotel has received very mixed reviews. After research, we decided to book an upgraded room, and it turned out to be a great choice.

We stayed in a spacious traditional room with a private onsen overlooking the forest nearby. Incredible view — such beauty!
Nevertheless some of the inventory could use a renovation.

This hotel is exactly as its name suggests, comfortable and relaxing. The overall vibe there is calm with cute decorations.

It's hard to compete with the value this hotel provides. I tend to look for the cheapest hotels possible when traveling Japan and this was the cheapest by a good margin in my time traveling in 2025.
