Excellent location. Right next to the sassi area and easy access to the central station. If you have suitcases and no car access to the hotel, I highly recommend this property.

The owner is lovely. The room corresponds to the price and neat.

Great place to stay. Host, Nicholas, was very thorough in explaining all the facilities in the room, provides great recommendations for restaurants, cooked fabulous breakfast.

The staff were delightful—friendly, helpful, and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. The hotel is simply amazing in a fantastic location in Caveoso Sassi, right on the main street.

The online photos don’t do it justice — the rooms are big and incredibly clean.

This was an amazing stay. One of the best in Italy that we have stayed in. Our host was amazing and very accommodating.

Our party of six stayed at Maison Boutique Matteotti for three nights, booking three Deluxe Rooms, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.

Best stay experience throughout the Sicily trip. The host is very helpful and always attentive. Easy parking just outside the place at €7 per day. Easy walk to spots in the Sassi area in around 15min.

Personally, I am very difficult to assign 5 stars because it is a very subjective thing and there is always something I don't like… however, this structure fully suits my personal tastes and I assign

We can’t thank Antonio and Daniele enough for the most wonderful stay here. The accommodations and the customer service were one of the best we had on our 3 weeks in Italy.

We received an upgrade to the luxury room. Extremely spacious and relaxing after a days walking. Noisy street but excellent sound proofing blocked most of it. Friendly and helpful staff.

I've just completed three nights at this wonderful hotel. It is in the very best location with spectacular views and amazing staff. Especially Fania on reception.

Matera Stay review.
I feel that there might be other places to stay that could be as nice as the suites that Michele manages, but none would be the same without him as your host.

Great experience with an especially welcoming host, sharing about his families history and the history of the house. You won’t get such an authentic stay in many other places.

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights in this beautiful b&b. Highly recommended both for its impeccable cleanliness and for the family atmosphere you can breathe.

The property is very well tastefully furnished. The welcome was special, pampering us for the entire time of our stay. The rooms are all spacious, very well kept and clean.

Loved our stay at this very comfortable and clean suite to stay in Matera. Our room had nice little balcony with a view of the old city. Large and spacious bedroom, bathroom and sitting room.

I’ve rented 2 suites, and both were incredible — very spacious with design furniture and unique style.

I spent three nights with my wife at Civico 28, we felt at home, beautiful and spotless rooms. Fantastic breakfast. Structure located near the center and very convenient for visiting the Sassi.

At first we didn't really understand where we were since it took us a bit to find it, we had never been to a bed & breakfast and the truth was that it surprised us for the better.

Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with a wonderful caring hostess.

We stayed there for one night on the fly, with our little 3 year old. Highly recommended perfect area for those who have little time to get around Matera.

Excellent location, and superb hospitality! We had a warm welcome, and the well appointed suite had plenty of snacks, fresh fruit, tea (including herbal) and coffee.
