Matera Hotels

The location is excellent being only about a 3 minute walk to the entrance of the old city and less than 10 minute walk to multiple great restaurants, some being much less than that.

It was a very nice stay at the In & Out B&B in Matera. Cosy and very clean room, delicious breakfast and Mariella is a perfect host. It is very convenient to get to the Old Town of Matera from there.

Let's start with great host. Responded to all calls right away. The place itself is beautiful. Very modern Instalation. Super clean. Memory foam mattresses and pillows.

This is a belated review for a stay from 2.5 years ago. I still have very fond memories of the stay.

Friendly lady at the reception. Rooms are a bit outdated but the silence during the night gives you a good sleep. Clean room. At a few footsteps of an amazing view on Matera.

B&B Matera Casa del Sole is the most beautiful, elegant-looking hotel in Matera. The rooms are unique, with stunning views. The room rates are reasonable, too.

An unforgettable experience in the heart of Matera!
From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel was stunning, with an authentic atmosphere that captured the magic of the city. ❤️

We have been at Italy on june and july 2025 to celelebrate my 80 husband's birthday. We went with all the family and the birth day we where at Mattera and we had a reservation at Masseria Santa Lucia.

What a hidden gem! When we first drove up to Masseria Santa Lucia, we thought the map had to be wrong, an industrial area seemed like an unlikely setting for a masseria.

We were there for 2 nights with a group touring Matera. It is a newish, modern hotel in an industrial park outside Matera. There was a nice touch of the mosaic art.

This hotel is new with amazing mosaics decorations like painting, etc. I love the room and the bathroom's is refreshing with unique mosaics design.

Beautiful accomodation in the middle of Matera. With a astonishing view over the old town. It was quiet, peaceful, clean and just the perfect spot to stay in in Matera!

Exceptional!
If you are in this area, I would highly recommend booking this unique experience. Staying in a cave that is very comfortable, and well equipped.

Absolutely fantastic experience staying here. The only reason it's not a five is that, unfortunately, the restaurant was closed.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

This hotel is one of the most unique and special places I’ve ever been. The room was incredible, 10/10 big, comfortable, amazing bath, and super special view.

What a fabulous place. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful, giving the best recommendations for dinner. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious.

Studio apartment near one of the most beautiful views of the Sassi of Matera.

We stayed for two nights, very kind owner, clean and comfortable environment… we will be back!

The only negative about this place was the difficulty in locating and walking to it.
Accommodations were special.
Great room. Private balcony where we stayed and other terraces for the whole property.

Stay in the heart of the Sassi with an exclusive terrace and spectacular views. The room was also excellent, spacious and functional. The shared kitchen where you can make a coffee is very useful.

Very clean house, with attention to detail and with everything you need (even more), welcome kit for each guest.

The host is very hospitable and offered me some great help, the room is very clean and feel like at home. It's 10 mins away from Matera landmarks on foot. Really recommend it!

My husband and I stayed a few days ago… found by chance!
A spectacular environment to say the least. A mix of history and modernity.
Our room was very original high bed Materano.
