Great location, friendly and professional staff. Morning breakfast and coffee is a big plus. It is a small hotel (six rooms on our floor) so all rooms are real close to the elevator. Nice. We stayed here the week before Christmas and it was great! It’s close enough to the tourist areas but far enough to be on the quieter side. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Anything we needed was tended to right away. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The only issue I had was I made reservations in August and in November my 5 year old’s school changed their calendar which would alter our check in day. When I found this out I called the hotel immediately (3 weeks in advance) and asked to change our arrival date by pushing it out to the next day. The reservationist said this couldn’t be done. So we paid for an extra day. Other than this everything was wonderful and we’ll be back.

I have been so impressed by this hotel and all of their staff. They have gone above and beyond to make my stay easy and enjoyable. The front desk staff are the kindest I have ever had and have been so quick to resolve even the smallest of issues. I highly recommend staying here, and enjoying the food and drinks at the Lexington Brass next door.

So far it has been great! Currently in the middle of our stay. Check in was great! We are arrived early checked in our bags at the front desk. We went and did a few things, returned to our bags already in our room. Will update once we are done with our stay!

You double charged me. Took the full fee NOT A HOLD. On day one… And 3 days later debited my account again.! Your people insisted NO and were lying as I called the bank was starring at my account transactions while they were being stupid and telling me otherwise. My account was thrown into an overdraft and I was charged a $10 fee from the bank. Either your people/hotel is completely dishonest or they are too stupid to be handling anyone’s cards. I need a call from a manager as I already asked the bank to reverse all charges. Name is Leiman. I checked out 8/5. A woman at your front desk already took my phone number.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel with great views. The employees are even great and helpful.

This is a really good hotel. A bit small but that's New York City, GREAT location with easy access to just about everything you could imagine. Very helpful and courteous staff with a friendly professional attitude. I stayed 4 nights and it was a great experience. The room was modern with a stunning view of 8th ave. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great experience at 48LEX. Stayed for one night. Received a surprise upgrade to the beautiful penthouse suite with private balcony. Minibar options were perfect and not overpriced. Prix fix menu at the hotel restaurant was $30 for guests and delicious. The breakfast options were plentiful and fresh as was the wine and cheese hour. Will return!

This is one of the most lovely hotels that I have stayed in. We have stayed for 10 days. The staff really have made us feel at home, so friendly and talkative. The bedrooms are so comfortable and spacious. The lounge feels like a real haven in the centre of NYC and offer a selection of cheese crackers and wine each evening between 5 and 6. If you want a personalised service with high quality rooms right in the centre of NYC. You have found the right place.

The room was in great condition, very fresh. However the staff worked very slowly, letting us wait 1.5 hour until 5 pm to access our room when they said it would be way earlier. Felt like they needed more staff. I expected more for the price.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend. Excellent customer service. Cozy hip atmosphere. Nice rooms and bathrooms. We were also pleased to have the BET channel lol during our stay. Will definitely stay here again and reccomend to our friends.

Very nice place in convenient location near the Grand Station. The price also includes some extras from the bar such as coffee (American and espresso) and water. Remarkable aperitif that takes place from 17:00 to 19:00 based on cheese and wine served by the friendly Malvina. A place that deserves to be back.

The hosts at the front desk are super friendly and accommodating. Same goes with every worker we have encountered. The rooms are smaller but it's to be expected in downtown Manhattan. I would recommend.

Love this hotel though it is a bit dated. Breakfast is way better than the inns. Rooms are on the smaller side as other hotels in NYC especially bath rooms.

Really small room for a queen studio, even for NYC. Hidden fees — they charge us 60+ more a day for their "free breakfast and free Wi-Fi'. I wasn't aware of that until the moment I checked out. Definitely not worth for 200+$ a night (plus the services fee, around 300). Also, the AC fan is really loud at night and we had to call someone to shut it down. Seriously, save your $$$ and go anywhere else. I would not recommend and come back for this hotel.

Having an amazing stay. I am a New Yorker and sometimes love a staycation but am picky. This place smells great, is spotless and manager Dave is beyond amazing and Jesse the front desk concierge is really hospitable and welcoming. I rarely right reviews but these guys and this establishment deserves it.

Small luxury hotel with perfect Manhattan location. Hotels rooms are clean and comfortable. Checked in at 7am (originally supposed to check it at 3pm).

Horrible experience! My Boyfriend rented out 48 Lex for one night for my birthday since we were staying in the city for the day. Coming back to our room after a lovely dinner our room phone rings 5 min prior into walking in. The front desk manager calls in and ask if things were being thrown mind you me and my boyfriend didn’t even know the windows open so as we tried to explain the manager of our position not knowing what was going on she continuously started screaming saying we were getting kicked out and she was calling the cops with out the acknowledgement of knowing the truth or at least checking to see if we were actually doing any of these things. My boyfriend went down stairs to speak to her face to face and she started speaking so Volgure disrespecting him and yelling in front of other visitors that were staying in this hotel. I’ve stayed in multiple hotels before in this was by far the worst stay in NYC. For a manager to handle a situation in this matter very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL she didn’t want to give her name and refuse to try and figure out the truth of this situation.

We had a great stay here! We booked directly through the hotel, got a discounted rate by booking in advance and stayed for two nights. It’s a great location within walking distance to so many attractions, just a few blocks from Grand Central Station, we loved and thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese hour from 5-6pm, and the breakfast was elegant and simple — perfect to get your morning started. I also really appreciated the in-room Nespresso machine and a fully stocked bar if we chose to partake. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet (we were on the 7th floor), it was very clean and well-appointed with all the modern conveniences you would expect, and the staff were attentive, friendly, professional and accommodating. The attached sister restaurant is also a nice convenience if you wanted to dine in your room. Great stay!

Hotel in corner with the Lexington, then in good location, a quarter of an hour walk from Time Square. The rooms are not particularly spacious, as well as the bathroom, while the cleanliness is good. The breakfast is quite limited and almost exclusively salted with salami and cheeses and small croissants, served on the second floor and only until 9 on weekdays. There is no real reception but a simple desk near the elevators. The staff are friendly and helpful. Compared to the price reported on Booking in reality we paid about $30 more for taxes and swibed the credit card on arrival with a surcharge, in addition to the cost of the room, of $500 per deposit, which then were not of course accounted for during check Out.

We ate at the hotel restaurant. Brunch was excellent. Service was great, food was delicious, and the location is very close to Grand Central. Highly recommend!

The hotel in General is not at the height of a four star. The breakfast is poor and the rooms average. On the other hand the hotel is well placed, close to the Metro and time square.

Very swish hotel. Our room was really nice, no problems with the room. There was a Starbucks downstairs which was very useful for breakfast and a quick coffee. The staff were polite and helpful. The Lexington brass was nice, food was great & no problems. I'd recommend this hotel for a few days stay.

Very friendly and quick check-in and check-out process. Great continental breakfast and wine and cheese reception. Smallish but comfortable rooms. Very nice gym and lounge facility.

’We had a lovely time in New York. ’ — We had reservation for three persons (Central Suite). There was only one bath robe and one pair of slippers when we arrived.
— The key cards were not always working.
— The cleaning was poor, some days we were forced to ask separately to get the room cleaned (no cleaning for two days). …
— Evening turndown service for sofa bed was never offered. The sofa was as a bed during the whole week.
— The bath amenities were almost empty, in spite of us leaving them by the sink, only one was filled.
— At breakfast there were no seats enough for the guests.
— When mentioning to the staff, they always came with their excuses. To make things better, didn't seem that important ("My first day at this job. ", "Just back from vacation. ").
— Beacuse of the lack of cleaning we were promised discount (in fact we didn't ask for it). We never got any discount, even if we informed that when checking out.
— Service at Brasserie of Lexington was poor.
— In general we often felt that the staff was not really present. + The location of the hotel and the view were good.
+ The Wifi worked well.
+ The lounge was cosy and elegant, but a little bit too warm.
+ The complimentary breakfast was according to the desciption, fresh and tasty.

We absolutely loved our stay here from start to finish. Everyone was so kind and caring, they went out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room was beautiful and modern, very clean and while we didn't partake in anything from the mini bar, we thought their prices were very reasonable and the choices were excellent! The location is close to a lot of wonderful sites, but also convenient if you want to catch an uber or a cab without stopping traffic trying to hop in. 10 out of 10 would stay again!

Walking in, I could already tell that this was quite a luxurious hotel. The staff was very friendly and explained everything to us because I told them it was my first time staying there. The room was extremely nice with large windows providing lots of natural light, a huge bathroom, extremely comfortable bed, and lots of amenitites. Added bonus of a lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks as well as a complimentary breakfast. Overall, a really luxurious hotel.

Nice affordable hotel in Manhattan. Staffs are the best! All of the staffs are very helpful and kind. Also I don’t usually eat breakfast at hotel. But they had really good one. It’s not a big breakfast but they have almost everything need. But the wine in the room wasn’t that good. But it was good to have it in the room cause it was so freezing cold outside and didn’t wanna go out to buy!

This is a really nice hotel, seems like everything is new here. The room has a nice view. Very close to the subway.

I am so so disappointed just on the second day! With a great location and nice concept the service is so bad! Breakfast : you have to hunt for food going rounds and look for a space to sit for 30 min Customer care:
The service and supply in the rooms is selective. No slippers in the bathroom on arrival. Called house keeping and reception… 48 hours after, still no slippers. May be this is the hidden sense of the 48 Lex hotel name?!?! Everything you need, but … after 48 hours. We’ve asked for additional bad, they brought bed without cover and we had to fight for 2 hours to get a blanket. Which never came. I had to take one from our bad.
NY eve coming back to the room to prepare for dinner. Guess what? The room is not cleaned! I am calling the house keeping, line is busy. I am calling the front desk asking « why « they reply « We don’t know «. So if you are going to select 48 Lex, give every service 48 hours to be done.

The food was delicious. Prefect for four people with very different tastes. Vegan, vegetarian, omni, and someone with food allergies and we all found items on the menu that we loved. The service, however was very slow. In fact we rarely saw our waiter and had to flag down bus boys for service! But it was Christmas so that could have had done bearing on the service. Just as an aside, when we arrived it wasn't crowded so the delays were very unexpected.

Rooms are Clean and good. Breakfast everyday the Same and Service Not good. Not enough employees during breakfast so the Service is not good but ok.

The perfect hotel for those wanting to enjoy the tourist life of Manhattan. The rooms are large enough that you won't feel cramped or trip over bed corners while blindly stumbling to the washroom in the night. Room are also clean and the cleaning staff do a great job with daily changing of linens. The staff are friendly and super helpful fulfilling what your needs. I'd ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful in subsequently placing the floors in our room — seriously outstanding! Included in your stay is a rather tasty continental breakfast, consisting of various breads with jams, jellies and honey, a good selection of fun cheeses, fruit and vegetables, hard boiled eggs, yogurts and best of all — great espressos and other coffees. In the early evening wine and cheese are offered in the lounged — and it's not boxed wine either!

My wife and I stayed at 48Lux to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It's a beautiful, modern hotel with luxurious rooms and products in the room; Nespresso Machine, stocked fridge, wine, snacks and a microwave. Very accommodating staff.

The service here is impeccable. When I went to check in, my boyfriend and I were running late for a Broadway show. Well the receptionist checked us in and got us to our room so quickly. Thankfully we mad it to the show on time. Also I HIGHLY recommend the room service aswell there food is delicious.

This hotel is very comfortable conveniently located within minutes of most areas of the city that you will likely want to visit. Many of them you can just walk to and the rest are a short Uber / Lyft ride away. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant downstairs in the lobby is very good. Definitely a good place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The hotel rooms are generally pretty nice and larger than most; however, be aware that they may vary greatly both in terms of size and upkeep. On my last stay, the first room I was given had a soaking wet floor. On my stay before that, the TV was broken. My greatest complaint about the hotel was the staff. They seem to go out of their way to hide the most inconsiderate people possible. The doorman and front desk staff would just assume ignore you. The cleaning staff seemed to gather outside of my room at 5am to gossip, loudly.

OMG this place is fabulous. The staff was great especially Allan. He greeted me and my guest with a big genuine smile. I was so tired after my long flight and I wanted to just check in and go to sleep. I was very early, then Allen told me that my room is ready. I WAS ELATED behold belief. The room is clean, big and beautiful. Allan was I gem. Thank thank you. I am very happy here. I will be back in September. Jane.

First and foremost nothing is included they will charge you for everything, they have that strange way of having not so high prices for the quality of the hotel on the web but being there you have to pay for breakfast, Wi-Fi, package reception and everything like that. It's a shame pq the hotel is very nice. And the last point the service always felt that bothered them.

Great location in a nice neighborhood. Rooms aren't huge but are very well laid out and bathroom is spacious with a large vanity and shower. Didn't interact much with staff but the few I did were courteous. Had the veggie burger from the hotel restaurant and that was outstanding. Attention to detail could improve, my shower want thouroughly cleaned after my first night stay, room service forgot the milk I requested for my coffee, bathroom amenities were knocked over like they dropped them in a rush. Nothing major but minor little things that I noticed. I would stay here again.

Great breakfast, neat hotel but not for kids. Really slow and understaffed (took 2 nights for an inflatable bed to be delivered). Clean rooms though and when our first room were covered with dust they immediately moved us.

Insufficient space for breakfast. They do not have regular room service as they had to order on two occasions, late at night, for them to perform the service. There is a bit of maintenance missing from the furniture. To highlight: staff with very good readiness for the attention and treatment of the passenger.

I've stayed here twice now. The hotel is great for business travel. I have a lot of meetings in midtown and the location could not be better. Rooms are fantastic and guests services are great. I don't think I would stay here if I was on a weekend away. That has more to do with the location then anything else.

Upscale modern hotel with good amenities. Room was great for short overnight stay but nothing special. Lobby and lunge are a bit small.

Location in mid Town east was fantastic. Really close to Grand Central station. The front lobby was small but the receptionist were attentive and cordial (and all easy on the eyes). The only part of the hotel that needs work are the elevators. They were slow to say the least. The rooms were awesome. The bed was comfortable and the view! Cannot get better in Midtown east!

The location of this hotel is great as it is within walking distance of alot of the tourist place's and shops. The hotel room we had was comfortable and has a well stocked mini bar, the staff are very polite and helpful, breakfast is of the continental type and was good.

This hotel has a peace and quite to it especially on the second floor lounge. When you are there for 5 — 6 complimentary wine and cheese hour you forget the hustle and bustle of the exterior. It has a very calming appeal to it. We stayed in a terrace room, number 403 in fact that had an over sized terrace with 2 chairs, table and planted trees. I was not disappointed with the terrace but actually impressed by its size. Our doorman was exceptional and always had a smile on his face. The staff was always eager to please as well. The only suggestion I would make would to have 2 bartenders on staff at the 5-6 wine hour; serve Coors light for the hubby's like mine that do not prefer wine and have a "larger" tray of cheese and crackers as it is a crowd favorite and seemed to run out rather quickly. Thanks for a great weekend 48Lex and the 5-6 wine & cheese hour is definitely a nice touch! Will definitely be seeing you again!

Stayed overnight due to a blizzard. Room was well appointed and clean. Internet was weird, would not let me connect on my computer when my husband was connected on his phone. Breakfast was cute, yogurt was good and they were willing to make espresso for guests. Quick walk to the 6 at 51st or little longer walk to Grand Central.

Wonderful, welcoming, cozy hotel in the city. Great midtown location. The staff are helpful and freindly. They have a very nice included breakfast and evening wine and cheese reception. Each floor has only 5 to 6 rooms with a quite, homelike feel. Tops!

Very helpful staff. Nice rooms. Thick walls and windows. We were partying for New Years Eve and we couldn't hear the people next door, who were having a party as well.

I came here after staying a night @ the Waldorf across the street. To say that I am VERY happy I switched hotels would be an understatement. From the moment I walked in, the staff was amazing. I got a room on the 17th floor with an amazing view! He allowed me to do a very early check in (8am! ) with no questions asked. The room is amazing, the kitchenette is great, my over all experience is great. This is a great hotel, I recommend it to everyone.

We had a great stay at the 48Lex, room was beautiful, and staff was wonderful. Free wine and cheese during happy hour and a very small breakfast was offered. The hotel is in a great location, only a few blocks from grand central station.

The best part of this hotel is the staff! The check in girl was very helpful and polite and made our first interaction with the hotel a great experience! We were in room 1801 (highly recommend! ) and at first our keys didnt work. We went back down and they promptly gave us new ones. The room itself was clean, bright and spacious. I liked that it was distanced from the other hotel rooms enough so we didnt have to worry about being wall to wall with other guests. I did really like the bathroom layout and the fact that the bathroom door slides shut (similar to a barn door) The only issue we had was that we (in our reservation) requested extra blankets. When we checked in, the girl checking us in noted this and said there should be some in the wardrobe. Okay. We got back from a show around 11:30 PM anxious to go to bed and no blankets. We called down and asked for some and were told they would be right up. They never arrived. I was already tired so staying up for half an hour to not have blankets delivered was a little annoying and I was too tired to call back and make a second request. In the morning, I did use the fitness center which does have a nice cardio area — the strength room has some weights but could offer a few lower weight options (nothing available under 10 lbs) Also when I was in the cardio room, I thought that it was nice that they had cold towels. That was until I saw one of the worker come in and see how they make the towels.

This hotel is decent but the service we received was poor. Requested a late check out and they denied me bc they were "fully committed" the following night which sounded odd considering it was a Sunday in the middle of winter. After I hung up w the manager, I called their reservation line and checked the availability of the same room type and was told they had multiple rooms available. I then called the manager back and after I explained what happened, they agreed to let me check out at 11:15 instead of 11. The staff was rude and inconsiderate, unaccomadating. Definitely a big change since I stayed there last time, a year ago, when it was still part of Hyatt. I will NEVER be returning here, there are a ton of other comparable hotels in the same area with nicer people.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and welcoming upon arrival. The premier one bedroom corner suite was a fantastic size and had a great view. We ordered breakfast from room service and it was prompt and tasty. All in all an excellent stay; I would definitely return to this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Not expensive at all, but you would think you would need to spend hundreds for a night at this hotel. The decor is amazing, it really calms you after a long day of hustle and bustle in new york city, and the staff makes you feel right at home. I got a travel rate of $189 for the evening and I liked the hotel so much I decided to extend my stay and on top of that I visited the spa.
