Terrible service and the employees really don’t care. Never ever again…

Swanky and clean but a little tired. Great staff — every person I encountered working at this hotel was very pleasant and helpful!

Just checked out from this wonderful hotel. Location, staff and rooms were amazing and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a central location of New York.

Beautiful, clean Hotel with history.

I like the vibe and ambience & convenient location. But this visit has been a little disappointing so far. The kitchen closed as we walked into the bar on arrival last night at 11 pm, but they did fix some guacamole for us (which was delicious! ) This morning, breakfast has been chaos. After having had no dinner last night, we found the hot food buffet was totally empty; but refills eventually came out. The buffet area was extremely crowded, and then looking for plain black tea, there was none—asked staff and he pointed me to lobby coffee station to find it. I feel like this is an aberration—I still enjoy this hotel & nothing has been so bad as to turn me off on it.

Staff was excellent and the room was very well kept.

Lovely view from a room looking across 48th St. Super helpful doorman when unloading car on a busy NYC street. Comfortable lobby with a Starbucks connected to it. Easy walk to Grand Central and plenty of restaurant choices. Valet parking (at NYC typical rates) very efficient and quick when retrieving the car.

This place is fantastic! Friendly, helpful and professional front desk customer service agents! The room and bathroom are immaculately clean! We will book with Lexington Hotel and recommend our friends!

Great hotel in an excellent location for exploring New York. I received wine, chocolate dipped strawberries, cheese, dried fruit and crackers in the room on arrival, as we were in New York for my 40th birthday, lovely gesture. Room was very clean, big and had everything you needed. Staff were helpful although check in we weren’t given directions to the lift or told what floor we were on but managed to work it out. Would stay again if we visit New York again.

So not impressed. Booked through Expedia as a VIP hotel. Motel 6 is better small rooms very lound uncomfortable beds and the biggest complaint for almost $400 a night I expect a blanket not a thin sheet.

Excellent staff and well appointed rooms. Only complaint was a bit of banging around the room overnight but could not pinpoint it. Generally a good experience.

Excellent hotel… very well located… staff is awesome. Just one suggestion… the bar closes to early. New York is a city in which people don’t like going to bed too early. I think you guys should keep the bar open at least until 2am.

The Lexington Hotel is a great choice if you absolutely must stay in the city. The hotel has history and charm above a similar chain brand hotel, but the quality was the same as those chains brands. The rooms are smaller (space is a premium in Midtown) but everything was clean and comfortable. Staff and concierge are very approachable and ready to help, and the valet for parking was quick.

Our train didn’t leave until 8, and the hotel insisted that we pick them up from the bell desk by 3 pm. It isn’t much fun to drag luggage around NYC. The breakfast, that is complementary for elite Marriott members, was underwhelming. The coffee was great, but the selection left something to be desired.

I've stay regularly at this hotel for business. I enjoy the atmosphere and the appetizers they serve every weekday evening. The rooms are small, but nice and clean. I try to avoid rooms by the elevator, because some of them make fairly loud grinding noises. One thing to be aware of is that they charge a $25/night "destination" fee. You do get quite a bit for this charge, so overall it is pretty worth it. Gold and Platinum members are supposed to get 500 pts/night as part of the fee, but this is never actually credited in 5 of my 6 stays so far. If you are an Elite member, keep an eye on this. I think the hotel is systematically scamming people out of these points, which is a shame. I've emailed management about this and it still seems unsolved.

In a great position compared to the metro and main streets. We had a small room with tiny bathroom and not so clean. We requested a room change then that our stay was 6 nights and we were satisfied. Very nice staff. There is no restaurant but only a bar for aperitia. Royalty fees of 25 dollars a day. However, you can take water (which in New York costs a lot) of tea and coffee in the morning and aperitif in the evening. Overall good.

Our new favorite little boutique hotel in NYC! recently stayed there and got engaged while here! They had our cute room full of goodies and champagne — so sweet! Great atmosphere downstairs as well — love music, great drinks and always packed. Attached to a Starbucks too! Will stay here again.

This is the best hotel in JFK. Staff are excellent. Special thanks to Sebastian Meherji for allowing me to visit Marilyn Munro’s suite. Was the highlight of my visit.

The staff is friendly and mostly helpful, but only if it is also the responsible area of the respective employee. So, unfortunately, you have to get the right help or help. Find the right employee for yourself.
Otherwise, however, a typical New York hotel (relatively small rooms) including hotel bar and sports area.

Great place to rest after a long day of touring. The location was great, close enough to walk to many places including Time Square, Rockefeller, 5th Ave, and Central Park. Easy walk to the subway. Easy check in and out. The free water bottles were great and the coffee in the morning was good (I am very picky about my coffee). The bed was comfortable. Yes the rooms are small but it was all my husband and I needed. The bathroom was small. My only complaint is a bathroom fan would have been nice. And the room gets cold early in the A. M. I would stay again.

I stayed here for a business trip and it was great. Breakfast was good, the drink coupons make getting a drink at night painless. The rooms are smaller than some others I've seen, but its NY, what did you expect? From this hotel, its easy to get to the subway, Times Square, or out of Manhattan if you so desire.

Nice lobby. Maybe some room renovated but not mine. Good location, friendly staff and credit for drinks and laundry. No breakfast or food if you are not gold above member. Not bad overall but not could do a lot more for a 4 star hotel.

The rooms are comfortable though small. The hotel is Pet friendly and the employees are very friendly. The location is very good: it is close to 5th Avenue, Time Square, Rockefeller Center; Also there are good restaurants nearby. To go to Central Park you have to walk a little more. The building has a Starbucks that is right next to the elevators to the rooms. Overall the experience was very good and the price for the stay was fair.

Just returned back from The Lexington Hotel and was very disappointed. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean. And in a great location. The rooms are very small and the staff are very rude and unhelpful. Prior to arriving my Mum had emailed the Hotel to inform you that we were staying at the Hotel to celebrate my 40th Birthday. This was not acknowledged at all, and staff were not interested in what was a very special trip for us. When we arrived at the reception we were just given a key and told about the launderette! We were also given drinks vouchers for the bar but we were told they had to be used Mon or Tues between 6-7. We then found out that this was untrue and they could be spent whenever! When we asked Manager about the vouchers he was not interested that we had been given the wrong information. When checking out we were asked how was our stay and when we said we were not that impressed the member of staff ignored us. I think some staff training in basic customer service would benefit this hotel.

Just 15min walk to Times Square. Trendy lobby with bar (aka mixing room). This hotel could use sound proof rooms and upgrade their elevator system. Rooms are in the smaller size (than you imagined or seen from website pictures) just like rest of NYC real estate. Friday's a jazz band was playing in lobby. I enjoyed my stay and it was within walking distance from most of the major NYC attractions.

We are currently staying here and I must say, they really gave pulled out all the stops for my husbands birthday! We was upgraded straight away to a king room, lovely Irina brought him us a big bag of goodies, wine, chocolate strawberries, popcorn, sweets and chocolate! Then to top it off, we were informed yesterday, that we have 2 complimentary breakfasts this morning, for his actual birthday! A massive thank you to our travel agent for arranging things for us too!

Review is of the Lobby Bar Only: Service was intermittent. Drinks were pricey and not that inventive. Good area for lounging with guests of the hotel and their friends. Bathroom is on the second floor a good deal removed from the lobby bar, and you need a key from the concierge to get into it.

Place full of style, and people that good hotel. From the lobby to the rooms a whole ten, I went at Christmas so there was a very nice Christmas spirit in the hotel.

Very nice hotel in central location Midtown Manhattan. 5 minutes walk to Central station.
Room top, staff very attentive and friendly. $10 tip already on the first day for the maid and already there are little extras eg. A coffee machine or extra capsules. Rooms are very clean. Bar is expensive as in any hotel but good. Luggage room costs per piece of luggage $3 if you are not a memer.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the city. Great location midtown. Always receive amazing service! The Loyalty Manager is great! :) the rooms are really nice as well and you can get some great views!

I love this hotel, while not a big luxurious place, you can't beat the location and service. Their management is really good and do their best to accommodate reasonable requests from customers. I keep coming back month after month and overall it's always consistent. Kudos to Cindy (Manager on Duty) in particular for such an amazing customer service skills!

The hotel is in a quiet location. Our room was clean and well furnished. In the lobby there is a nice bar. Unfortunately we never used them, as it smelled worse here than in a perfumery.

Good location in Manhattan, walking distance to Grand Central Station!

Decent location about midway between 2 subway stations, as well as walking distance from Times Square (for those who bring comfortable shoes! ) The rooms are clean and very comfortable. There was a lounge area on the ground floor which was full of guests resting and socializing all day, as well as a mezzanine level with a more relaxed atmosphere and more intimate seating. The front desk staff are very polite and friendly. The attached restaurant has good food, but a waitress (not the one who served us) stood and blatantly watched my husband as he calculated tip and signed the credit card receipt.

As with any Autograph location, there's an unique style that accompanies the place; in this case, it's a stylized art deco jazz theme. Its location in Midtown East offers easy access to a few different subway lines (5 to 10m walk away) and is close to a lot of the shopping and restaurants near Fifth Avenue and Bryant Park area. The rooms, like most NYC hotels are fairly small but bigger than most hotels in the area. Because it's renovated, rooms are pretty clean. Staff are great and friendly, very accommodating.

I've stayed at this hotel several times. I've enjoyed every stay. I don't have any strong negatives to say about the hotel. It has an old school look and feel about it which I like. The rooms are quite small but nothing abnormal for New York City. The hotel staff is relatively friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast is pretty decent. The bar is okay but great if you get free beverage vouchers! I would recommend checking out this hotel at least once especially considering they have pretty decent rates compared to other hotels in New York City.

In addition to the price they post on the Web add some extras for Wi-Fi, gym, water… it is true that they are in contract, but it is also true that they are in small print to deceive. We were charged over 80, 000 for three days.

I stayed at the le meridian Parker last xmas for the same rate and the room was three times the size of this and the bellboys were fantastic! I won’t be back!

First off, Very nice hotel! Lobby always has guests socializing, great atmosphere. They have a Starbucks and a decent bistro style restaurant attached. Room was clean! Everyday full cleaning and sheets changed! Top notch service. Will definitely stay here again when I visit NYC. I do recommend this hotel, great centralized location. Only 10-20 min walk times to different locations like, grand central station, time square, 5th ave shopping district, Korean way and others. Also close to main subway lines. You won't regret staying here.

Great location for this hotel with affordable prices. All the staff were friendly and the front desk was exceptionally accommodating. We got to our room and much like every hotel budget room it was small. Well we kind of expected that so no biggie. The room we got was right next to the elevators. Ugh this is obnoxious. You can hear everything, especially what sounded like a bachelorette party getting off the elevators at 2am. Also throughout the night it sounded like we had a rat in our heater vent. It was constant scratching for about 2 minutes, would subside for about 15min and start back up. I looked for the source with a flashlight and was not able to locate it. It kept us up all night that first night. I spoke with the front desk and they were very understanding and accommodating. They upgraded us free of charge however we were still next to elevator but on the upper floors it wasn't bad at all. Not as much traffic. Overall we had a great time and the room we got in the end was well worth our time. Staff was friendly and seemed to be well maintained. I would recommend this place and I would stay here again!

The Lexington is in a nice old building with a vintage Hollywood vibe. Some of the rooms are "compact" with tiny bathrooms, but that's to be expected in NYC. If you're staying for more than a couple of nights, you may want to consider a bigger room. It's important to note that the building has a quiet side and a loud side, depending on the location of your room. This was my second stay here and I was definitely on the loud side this time. Ambulance sirens and car horns honking late on Sunday night until around 3AM Monday morning. Then it started back up again at 6AM. For your convenience, the hotel provides earplugs, which you will find in the nightstand drawer. If you have smallish ears like I do, they won't fit, so BYOE (bring your own earplugs) just in case. However, I'm a very light sleeper, so the noise may not even be an issue for some people. Fortunately, I always travel with a white noise machine. In addition to that, I changed the room's default fan setting from 'auto' to 'high' so it ran all night, which helped mask the city noise a little bit. But you know what they say about New York—It's the city that never sleeps. I sure didn't. Next time I'll be sure to ask for a room on the quiet side.

As a elite member, not impressed with this hotel or concept. Rooms extremely small which is NYC, not many amenities. Had to wait u til 3pm to get a room. This hotel is made for casual travelers who like the smell and feel of trendy lobby. Won't repeat this mistake again.

This place was very well put together! Marble floors. Marble bathroom. Even the maids were incredibly nice. The place smells like a picture of cologne and lavender and it makes you want to take as deep of a breath as possible Everytime you enter the lobby. 9.9/10. Would stay again. Just wish there was a mini fridge or a microwave in my room.

Great little "boutique" feeling hotel in the heart of the business district. Walk-able to many sites for tourist as well. Great prices on weekends.

Staff are super friendly and great at what they do. Lounge here is awesome with a small jazz band playing live at weekends as you come in. Drinks are a bit pricey at the bar but as expected for hotels in midtown Manhattan. Really enjoyed a comfortable stay here and heard very little outside noise when sleeping at night.

Excellent hotel, close to all attractions and central for sightseeing. The hotel is clean and staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. The 'Cozy Queen' room was a little small but adequate for a four night stay. There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room but this was available in the reception area as was iced water or bottles of water upon request. The bed was very comfy. Overall this was an excellent choice and would stay here again.

Hotel service is not good. Forgetful staff doesn't follow through on promises. Rooms are small and cramped, breakfast is subpar for Marriott (terrible eggs, and they ration the bacon to 2 "surprise" pieces you might get once). Cocktails are cloyingly sweet and way overpriced at $20 a pop with service charge. Good luck getting them to credit you any of your rewards points for a stay — on all 3 of my stays it has taken numerous calls, emails, calls to Marriott, front desk visits, and complaints just to get them to credit my points! They will try and lowball you with how many points you should get to try and get you to go away, but don't accept it. Seriously, never seen a hotel this disorganized with participation in a rewards program. Stay away it's not worth the headaches!

Loved this hotel, really cute, helpful staff except for the morning gift shop lady. Jazz decor and music, free filtered water with bottle, little appreciation gifts made this stay pleasant. Oh, and earplugs! :)

Nice hotel, very convenient for the location, clean and comfortable.

This is a great Marriott location in a very convenient spot of city, and if you hit it on the right day you can get a great price for the room (close to $100). Very nice up to date accommodations, nice bar and breakfast area, some nice amenities, including free water, lemonade, cookies and a welcome drink from the bar. They also have a happy hour reception in the evening.

Small, but nice room axomofations. Nice, deep bath tub for soaking after a long day of touring the city. Bed is comfortable. Air conditioner works well and is not too loud. City street noise is at a minimum and they brew a pretty good cup of free coffee! Bottled water is commentary too.

Nice hotel. Rooms are small but relatively well maintained. Check in was smooth and the location is excellent. Did not get to test out the Wi-Fi much but was sufficient for basic browsing. Great gym for a smaller hotel — good selection of machines and weights.

Our room was very nice and smartly decorated in the hotels overall Jazz theme. Bed was unfortunately uncomfortable (very stiff mattress) but not any more uncomfortable than most of the hotel beds I've slept in lately. Hotel lounge is also very nice. Many people congregated there. I would recommend the Lexington and would stay there again!

Nice hotel, welcoming, well located including Grand Central. We were at the 28th as requested in a nice room, just the noise from the elevator which was really noisy.

I'm a native NYCer and just stayed for 4 nights with two little kids. Loved the room and our stay there. Centrally located, nice clientele, classy. There were a few low budget items that I think need to be addressed: 1. First and foremost — they charge to hold your bags for a few hours if you arrive early before check-in. I was staying for 4 nights and yet they charged me $12 for 4 bags. Not a big deal but it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I've stayed in more budget hotels in NYC that never charged to hold my bags for a few hours. 3. Some rooms are charged $17 per day for Wi-Fi. Again, budget hotels would never do this. 2. Housekeeping didn't refresh the coffee in the room without asking. I expect better. This could be an exceptional hotel but they need to get out of the nickel and dime mentality.

Great energy. Nice lobby bar. Good midtown location. Great service except for the bellman. They're not real friendly and they charge to store bags. Rooms are nice.

The rooms had a great design and comfortable feeling. Wi-Fi was only available in rooms for a fee which was quite costly. Location was great and allowed easy travel by walking or subway (nearby station).

Normal, nothing special. Do not have nor Coffee maker or fridge in the room.

Had issues with my insurance booking for another hotel so they put me here with my boyfriend for New Years Eve. We had some issues with out booking here at first but they made it no problem at all! Great cost, EXCELLENT rooms, we stayed on the highest level that had a sperate elevator to get to it, (it didn't seem that safe though so we just took the stairs to put floor once we got the point of using the spare elevator) the room was a great size for my boyfriend and I. The thing I love most about the hotel is the art work and the updated electronics in the room. They are up to date with the iPhone compatibility or even just using a aux cord to play music in your room. Absolutely love the bathrooms, great lighting very clean! Oh and a perk. (The have a Starbucks connected and a liquor store right across the street! ) awesome hotel and will always stay when we come to midtown NY!

Great location, near a lot of awesome restaurants! Rooms were delightfully decorated and very clean. As were the bathrooms. Front desk check-in was a little cold, but all other staff were warm and welcoming. There's a lot of great seating space for meetings and waiting, as well as an attached Starbucks. Overall a great experience, and I would happily stay here again!

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and courteous. The rooms are quite comfortable, even for the relatively small footprint. The Wi-Fi services leave a lot to be desired so far as speed and conectivity go in relation to the price charged per day. Other than that, the overall stay was enjoyable and even included daily evening gatherings for Elite members such as whiskey tastings, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel to all staying in the area looking for comfort and affordability.

Very nice hotel with super cool jazzy decorations. The theme really works. A few things added up to take away one star… No fee Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable in room. I understand why the luxury hotels have kept their fees but with on demand movies as expensive as 20$ it would be nice for a little Wi-Fi. No coffee seems like a deal made with starbucks do you have to go too then in the morning. Not that I don't like starbucks but the ease of coffee in the room was missed. No frills in the non suite accommodations and the view was nothing special either. Location was super convenient and staff was very nice.

It was not possible to sleep without ear plugs. Single glazed windows meant that traffic noise kept you awake even on the 6th floor. Walls didn't provide any sound proofing at all. Constantly listening to noises from the corridor and toilets flushing. Cherry on the top was when a pipe broke (old installation? ) and there was no hot water in the entire hotel to take a shower. Internet in lobby free (only web port 80) but in the rooms they charge. They also charge 3$/bag if you wish to leave your bags in the hotel for a few minutes after checkout. Location is convenient and price ok but overall the hotel is not somewhere I would choose to stay again.

Dec 26-29 2015. My aloe vera went missing after a trip to macy's. They charged us 900usd, and later accepted it was a mistake. There is no microwave or refrigerator. I personally would not recommend it… please there are better places…

The only thing good about this hotel is the decor and lobby ambiance. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, the staff is rude and unhelpful, especially the Manager, Adasha, and parking is $60/day. There are too many other hotels where the client matters. Will never stay here again!

This is by far the most uncomfortable hotel I've ever stayed in and the most unhelpful staff imaginable. I can't even list all the things that went wrong. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, but if this is the only place you can find, pitch a tent, you will be more comfortable. The only thing that will make me feel better is to write awful reviews everywhere I can think of so that maybe I could help someone else before they make the mistake of reserving a room here.

Nice quaint room. Didn't really stand out, but wasn't awful. There was an annoying tapping noise periodically throughout the night which was annoying, but other than that, the stay was nice.

Do not stay here. — UPDATED ON 11/2/2015 My husband and I stayed here 10/16/15-10/17/15 and spent $580 total on our stay. It is the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. When we arrived we noticed that our pillow cases had little black hairs all over and our blanket had a brown stain on it. We called down to the front desk and requested a pillow case and blanket change and the front desk was rude but said they would send someone up. Finally after 20 minutes, we received our new bedding. The next morning we noticed that there was a brown stain on the bottom sheet that we had overlooked and spent the night sleeping on. That was completely gross and unacceptable. We called the front desk again and they sent someone up to change the sheets. When the man arrived, he simply handed us our sheets and left… so we had to make our own bed. As we made our bed we noticed two things: first, the man gave us two flat sheets and no fitted sheet and second we noticed that the mattress we had been sleeping on was covered in large yellow stains. Also really really gross and unacceptable. The next morning we went down to the lobby to speak with someone about our complaints and the staff was NO help. First we spoke to the front desk manager who then gave us over to a hospitality manager who then gave us over to the director of hospitality. At this point we were running late to catch our plane back home and we were very frustrated.

Being very tired after a 4 hour flight, the LAST thing I wanted to do was to go up to the room and back to the front desk 3 times because our key did not work. Not to mention, the rooms were horribly compact. Very claustrophobic and our view was of the air conditioning systems on the roof. And everything was overpriced. NEVER want to go back.

Despite having a reservation, stopping by the hotel in the early morning to confirm my reservation, dropping my bags off with the bellhop, and calling to confirm my reservation, and the hotel putting a note on the reservation that we will be getting in late, we arrived to find that our room was sold. The "manager" at the front desk was extremely unhelpful. She refused to help us find another room in another hotel, and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. We were thrown out onto the streets of NYC at 3am with nowhere to go. I have never been treated so poorly and unfairly by a business in my entire life. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Many of the other reviews on this site highlight their miserable customer service. Please go somewhere else.

I am writing here to complain about my last hotel reservation with Lexington Hotel. They were so impolite, nonprofessional and disrespectful that I won't have business with them anymore. I booked a hotel night through Hotwire and I had to change the dates. When I phoned them to try to change the dates, they refused and did not want to talk with me again. They even hung out when I tried to speak with them. I have lost the money that I have paid for the reservation, but you have lost a customer forever. I am going to make sure to discourage anybody I know to do business with your hotel. Goodbye.

It was terribly loud. Could hear cars on the street below all night and the plumbing (water in the pipes making very loud harsh noises like there was poor plumbing and air locks being expelled also just running water sound from other rooms. Can hear noise all around me all night from other rooms like people in their bathroom flushing the toilet or turning on the shower or dragging stuff across their floors. I'm on business travel and the rate is $600 a night. I would be furious if I was paying but I'm annoyed even with my company paying because I can't rest. Also, no coffee in the room. Room is tiny. They call it a "queen" suite but there's only enough room for the bed and a desk and one chest of drawers. It's literally almost claustrophobic. This is the WORST hotel experience I've had in NYC for business and I've been coming here for 15 years in business. I'm really surprised this is s Marriott hotel. I'd change if I could but unlike other hotels that require 24 hours notice, this one requires 48. Not one redeeming quality. If I could give it zero stars I would because it has NO redeeming value.

I liked its location. Comfortable and easy to get to. The rooms are very good. Especially those that are front-facing. The place where breakfast is a bit inflexible with hours. If low 9:31 because you don't have the coffee on! And that the rooms are around the values between 230 and 280€ double. Advantage… They will give you bottles of mineral water to climb up to the room. The staff very friendly. And a girl peruvian wonderful q was aware of what we were missing!

The only thing we disliked about The Lexington NYC — Midtown was the concierge. She was not very friendly or helpful. Basically everything you do not want in a concierge. Other than that, we had a great experience at The Lexington NYC. Our room was cozy, or as we read "NY spacious". Clean and modern. The location is nice and close to the subway, which will take you anywhere.

Summary — I have been a GOLD/Platinum Rewards member for the last 8 years. Have stayed in all Marriott brands across 5 — 6 countries. This is without exception the worst hotel I have stayed in. Pay a few bucks more and get into the Residence Inn, which is right next door. Long version — I checked into this hotel for 2 nights during the week of 5/11. Only reason I picked this was the rate, seemed slightly lower than other hotels in the Marriott brand. Didnt know that low rate also meant pathetic service. Certainly never experienced that at the Residence Inn. What struck me when I was checking in was that they gave me 2 bottles of water, apparently they dont have any in the room. Then I was given 2 coupons, apparently entry slips for the concierge (or whatever passed for one, was situated close to the bar/lounge). That was a first for me, have been either a GOLD or Platinum member for the last 6 — 8 years, usually just flashed/swiped my access card. Again, not a big deal. Going up to the room, realized that there were cigarette butts in the elevator. (every time I used the elevator, saw pieces of crumpled paper or butts in the elevator) Again, a first in a Marriott hotel. Then I get to the room, the smallest ever room that I have lived in. Even for NY city. Maybe I picked the short straw when it came to rooms, and I had drawn the shortest one. Then I realized they had no coffee or tea in the room. Again a first for me in a Marriott hotel.

I was able to book The Lexington for just under $100 a night. I once paid $80 for a Hampton Inn in a small Southern town. For that price point and the location, this hotel is a great value. NEWS FLASH: Most hotel rooms in NYC are small. If you want The Plaza on Fifth like accommodations, then open your wallet and spend the money. This hotel is delivers a great location with any acceptable hotel stay for a low price.

A very bad experience I stayed at the Lexington hotel for one night and way happy to leave. While furnishing a grand lobby and an impressive front the hotel is clearly in a very bad state. At my room I was greeted with cherry tomatoes the previous guest had left, extremely dusty bed covers (don’t they clean those? ) and a radiator which was placed in front of the toilet in such a way that I couldn't sit properly. The heavy curtains keep out the morning sun but since the bathroom door is opaque glass you wake up at dawn which means the hotel had failed in the most important job it has, a good night sleep. During checkout I told the front desk of my grievances but was informed that apart from the leftover vegetables they were aware of these problems. The understanding that the hotel truly doesn't care changed this experience from a simple oversight into negligence. This review is to inform you so you may make an informed decision before booking here.

I am a native New Yorker. I had a great experience. Wonderful staff, clean rooms, fast check in and check out. Very modern looking at an affordable price.

I was 30 weeks pregnant when I booked this hotel for an overnight trip to the city for a last weekend get-a-way with my husband. Within hours I realized I had booked the wrong weekend, an honest mistake for a 30 week pregnant person! I called immediately to rectify the issue and could not believe the lack of customer service I received over changing a reservation date. Not only was the reservation manager rude, she also neglected to call me or my husband back after we left several messages for her. Her response to our problem was to ignore the issue. I did not ask for my money back, I simply wanted to change the dates (to a more expensive weekend). Ultimately, we were not able to make the date change and chose another hotel to spend our weekend at. Based on the lack of customer service and lack of understanding for a very simple mistake, I would not recommend this hotel. There are too many other options in NYC to spend your money at. I would not feel comfortable knowing if there was an issue with your stay or reservation that the hotel would not work with you to resolve it.

Terrific hotel. Modern, well priced rooms. Awesome location. Chi Chi Rodriguez and Joe D Maggio were merried here. Tennis player Federer was staying at the same time we where here.

Stayed here with my girlfriend in a king room. It was WAYYY too small for the price I paid. Also, you must pay extra for a coffee maker and refrigerator. The customer service was a joke. I found an empty box of condoms om the floor in my room upon returning from the day out. Found out that it was the maid who was negligent. It caused lots of problems. I will never stay here again and I would give it ZERO stars if I could.

I stayed here 26-28 December. I'm a Marriott Elite Member, and I have to stay while this was not the worst place I've stayed, this was not worth the massive amount of points. The rooms were small, which I did not mind, but the AC/heat unit was loud and rattled throughout the night. We had the choice of using that or listening to street traffic or people in other rooms. The bathroom window faces an alley, I think but it was frosted so it was hard to tell. It had not shade or curtain, and the bathroom door was frosted glass, so our room was lit all night, like a giant annoying night light. There was an Elite member floor, which I guess was nice, but it was missing the amenities I'm used to, like a refrigerator or tea/coffee service. The first night I called and requested an electric kettle twice, and gave up after 2 hours of waiting. I went down to check-in in the morning and finally, they brought one. The Elite member check-in desk was only manned briefly when we tried to check the status of our room, after being told the first time it was not ready. The rest of the time, no one was ever there. The free internet for Elite members and an extra 1, 000 points/day may make up for a little, but I think I would have been happier at the Residence Inn. As we were checking out, a giant roach ran through, just past my husband's shoe. It's the only one I saw, which was a plus.

Great location. If room size matters, reserve the king room. We were too busy enjoying the neighborhood. Raffles restaurant has great food, a happy hour and starbucks adjacent. We walked to Rock Center for the holiday tree lighting. Very good, friendly customer service. Upgraded Lobby with a very modern look. Overall enjoyable.

My wife was a guest in 2013. The Lexington Hotel double billed her even though the room was already paid through Orbitz. Now they won't return our calls about this.

It was okay. The room was wayyy too small tho. Very close to time square and such. Stayed on July 26, 2014. Going back to nyc next month but not at this hotel.

Room 637 small, dirty, the window does not shut properly, enters cold, noisy by the fans of the heating, kitchen smells. The worst room of a Marriott hotel. I ask for change of room and being Good I got member of Marriott. I will not never.
