What a delight it was to stay here — I had forgotten what it felt like to be pampered in a beautiful hotel. The entire staff was so attentive — we want to take Roberto the mixologist home with us! The location is ideal, and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for such a special experience.

Amazing hotel! If you are staying in NYC and want a luxurious stay this is the hotel! This is my 6th stay and am never disappointed. Enjoy and if you like a nice beverage; check out the hotel bar. The bartenders will whip you up something special that WILL NOT disappoint!

The door man, concierge and reception staff are excellent, but it ends there. The complimentary shampoos etc. Were open and there was no way of even knowing what a water would cost you in the room. This hotel takes advantage of people who are not familiar with NYC.

Excellent hotel, great value for money — not something I have ever been able to say about any other hotel we have stayed in NY. Friendly, attentive staff and a great location. Rooms are spacious (for NY) with comfortable beds and exceptionally clean — as is the entire hotel.

For 2 rooms and ~5000$ you’d think they’d care about the food. Guess not. Also we were ONLY told about our 25$ per day free bar items after we checked out. Who the hell tells you that after you check out and goes on to tell you oh you should have read our site? For that you lose a star.

Stay here for 2 nights and 3 days. Was a great experience. Close to lots of tourist attractions, such as Rockefeller Building, NY Museum, Times Square and Central Park. It was all fairly walking distance to need to take cab or metro. The room is great and the staff is friendly. The have nice and spacious lobby.

Terrible experience. My wife and I and our 10 month old baby stayed here in the first week of August, 2018. We arrived late and night and checked in. When we arrived to our room, number 608, the bathroom floor heating was turned up fully to 96 degrees Fahrenheit, with the room reading 85 degrees. This was the first week of August in a heat wave in NYC, on a 93 degree day. We cranked the air conditioning but it was not functioning. We called down to the front desk to ask them to fix it ASAP or switch us rooms, and they told us no other suites were available, and apologized. The AC did not work at all and the room was still at 77 degrees the next morning. None of us slept. I told the front desk attendant, Melissa, when we checked out the next day. She responded by asking me if I had called an engineer to fix the problem. An engineer? No, I did not have the number of an engineer, I called the front desk, like a normal person. She told me that her manager was not there and there was nothing she could do, and that the hotel would contact me. I still have not heard anything from them. This was a $1000 plus per night suite. Unbelievable.

$250. All American standard! Great hotel in Manhattan, breakfast 50. Expensive, but. Ate at the Japanese in the market against, all the same blueberries, watermelons, melons for 11 dollars.

Thank you sooo so much for making our stay in New York even more special than we ever could have imagined. Could not have asked for more. Your staff were extremely courteous and were always willing to go that extra mile. As for the room we stayed in, absolutely immaculate and beautifully furnished and most importantly, a lovely comfy bed! And, how many charging ports? Not once did I require the use of our awkward travel plug adapters! It's the little things in life that make a huge difference! Again, thank you for a lovely stay in your incredible city! Nice hotel. I stayed this hotel 2times. Every time that we come. Staff is very helpful, friendly.
The second time, we went around 11 am. They gave me a room. I used to stay at other hotels. They always let us to check in at 3 pm.
The hotel is in downtown. Location is good. It is very safe to walk around.
I will go back this hotel again.

Hotel with elegant, clean and prestigious rooms. Only fault: There is a large wardrobe and the rooms are a bit full, not too spacious.

The hotel is very nice and particular. Very comfortable beds especially the kingsize. I had some problems with the room at check in (we were two customers with the same room) I missed 30 minutes to get me a next in the same category. For the perfect rest.

Incredible hotel, complete with all the luxury you expect with the Intercontinental name. The Gin parlour is top notch, as is the service throughout the experience of staying here. Conveniently located, you will be able to reach many of the top destinations in the city with a short walk… but you may not want to go out at all, as the rooms and furnishings (and the beds! ) will likely swallow you up into a state of pure relaxation.

Since the renovation in 2013, this hotel has become awesome. Great staff, great showers and fantastic location. This hotel is one of the best in New York and one of my preferred places to stay!

I was there for the Intelligence Squared US/Adam Smith Society — Bitcoin debate. The hotel lobby is vast yet elegant. The event space upstairs is clean and elegant. The hotel staff was polite, professional and prompt.

Stayed at Barclay during a weekend visit to Manhattan. Convenient location in midtown. I personally love to walk around in Manhattan so this hotel was in a nice central location. Room and accommodations were great. Got a high floor corner room upgrade as a IHG medallion member. While I didn't go to it, the hotel is well known for its Gin bar in the ground level. Rooms are pricey but not over the top. Will likely stay again when I go back to Manhattan.

An amazing hotel with a beautiful lobby in Midtown. The lobby bar is great and the breakfast buffet is worth a stop even if not staying a the hotel. Corner rooms are nice for the price.

Very nice hotel, I've stayed multiple times and never been disappointed. The location is also nice as while you're right in midtown & walking distance to most anything Broadway shows etc it is not tourist crazy like times square location… Tip: if for some reason you're driving a few blocks east of the hotel on 48th is a reasonably priced icon, I dropped my rental car to the location when coming into town and noticed the parking rates there were about $40 cheaper than hotel.

I wouldn't stay here again. For a 5 star hotel, this hotel has a long way to go in terms of service and attitude. Staff have to be pushed for serviced, the client relationship manager is great and she acknowledge that my concerns were valid. No complimentary bottled water in the rooms. If you use the items in the bathroom, you don't get a full replenishment like most other hotels but then luckily we managed with what we had. One of the waiters in the breakfast area stood out for me, he was like the black sheep in the family. I tipped him because he deserved it unlike most of the others. They will have to pay me to stay here again! The atmosphere is COLD!

Very good service, clean and comfortable facilities. Great location for doing business or family plan. It is worth the breakfast of the hotel and the bar at night with live music. The staff is very warm and helpful.

Hotel with a very friendly Bar.

We stayed for two nights and were not disappointed. All staff was friendly, courteous, and responsive. We ordered in-room breakfast and, while pricey, it was very filling, tasty, and well presented. Additionally the building is very aesthetically pleasing and quiet. It's been awhile since I've stayed at a hotel and I found the use of RFID in the room card interesting — it was even required to use the elevator at certain times of day, so that was pretty cool.

The hotel staff was fantastic addressing any need we had and accommodating a few special requests. The room was spacious and well maintained. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an overnight stay in midtown, as it is very conveniently located.

In my travels, I like to stay at Intercontinental Hotels, this one was nice, small and clean but if you want the total customer service experience, this is not the place. Don't get me wrong people were nice but you can tell that's not what they wanted to be. They seemed tired and out of patience. Perhaps it was the weather (so cold). Room service was astronomically expensive, $200 bucks for 3 burgers and 3 ice creams, but that's my fault for ordering it. The Concierge seemed inconvenienced by my asking questions of activities in NYC. She was still nice but gave me the impression she was annoyed by it all. We compared it a lot to the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco where the customer service was superb. You felt very welcome there and it just added to the whole experience. So I think that if the hotel personnel would have been slightly nicer and welcoming, I would have given this hotel 4 stars. The location is great, very convenient, it is not one of those massive hotels so it feels inviting, it's tasteful, the hallways are quiet so you can sleep without disruption but it just missed that one element. The price was good for a NYC hotel so now that I know what to expect in the sense of people, I would probably consider staying there again but not expect anything from them and therefore not be disappointed, when it comes to customer service.

A very good hotel. After a recent extensive refurbishment the property looks great. The rooms are very well appointed with plenty of space. The bed is extremely comfortable. The room decor is relatively neutral but warm and simple in appearance. The bathroom is well equipped. And the shower is very good. We will definitely stay here again for the bedrooms. The lobby is open and busy maybe a bit too open. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful Interconti Hotel in Midtown. From here you can easily explore the city on foot or by Metro.
The service was very nice during our stay. Although there was a mistake with our prepaid voucher first, this was corrected friendly and professional, the only downside: the wrongly blocked money was released only after 30 days, but the hotel could not do anything.
Already the lobby is nicely designed and the room was pleasantly decorated and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable and all inclusive bathroom very clean and was also cleaned every day very well. Nice amenities that were also replenished daily.
Our room on the 9th floor went to Lexington Avenue, which made it relatively noisy, even when the window was closed. Super is the Keurig coffee and tea machine.
The concierge service is very friendly and has lots of great tips and assistance for tourists and visitors.
Opposite the hotel is a 24-hour supermarket, where there is a good offer at any time of the day.
If you get a good price, then this hotel is perfectly suited for tourists and business people.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… My friends and I (4 adults) had reserved the premier room with 2 double beds for one overnight stay. The hotel's location made for easy commuting throughout the city via train with the N and 6 line and was an easy walk to Times Square. We had arrived at 3pm to check-in and met a 4 person line with two receptionists. After the wait and a 10 to 15 minutes overall check-in process, which we thought to be tedious for a large 4 star hotel, we received our room cards. The room was pleasant but we found the bathroom on the smaller side. We appreciated the cleanliness of everything but was surprised by the lack of towels and toiletries for 4 guests. We had to contact the front desk for a sufficient supply. The staff member we spoke with was courteous and accommodating. We waited for a little under an hour while we settled in for the items but left the room when they didn't arrive. However, they were placed neatly on of the beds when we returned 6 hours later. All in all, we had a satisfactory experience but none of us were blown away by it.

A beautiful hotel to spend our honeymoon in the heart of midtown. The staff were great and the room itself wad larger than expected and beautifully decorated. A short walk from grand central or times square make it a perfect base to explore the city.

I've just come back from New York and the hotel was fantastic, the bell staff angel and Anthony were more than happy to recommend places to eat etc, I wish the breakfast in the hotel was cheaper so we could of eaten there. Reception staff were very polite, rooms were fantastic enough room for me and my daughter. Will def be coming back to New York and staying here again.

The hotel is lovely. The rooms were clean and tidy and the service was generally very good. We had to wait a long time to check in but apart from that, I have very much enjoyed it. We even got to see some filming at the hotel (program called blind spot) so that was exciting! The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Furthermore, I never hear anything during the night so more than happy. Would be happy to return again.

Nice hotel, rooms were comfortable and well appointed. It's clear the hotel invested in the upgrades and it shows — I was pleasantly surprised. My only caveat is that I had asked for my receipt to be emailed to me, which it was not. Mild inconvenience, so I called to request it. However, the customer service person at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful, for a very small request. Not fitting of this stature of a hotel.

A classic that has undergone a great remodel. Excellent service, wonderful hotel, had be great time there recently. I like the diverse clientele at this hotel and the relaxed but upbeat vibe of the place.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and staff was pleasant. Air conditioning was not great though. Set the thermostat at 65 degrees Fahrenheit in the afternoon. Room never got below 69 degrees Fahrenheit.

Nice place to stay, central, good transport links. Decent Wi-Fi which you can get if you're a member of their loyalty club (free). Didn't try the bar or restaurant, really easy to get breakfast nearby anyways for much cheaper, and as for dinner, why would you bother, you're in New York after all. Would definitely recommend staying.

This hotel was very elegant in a non-flashy way. I don't think I have seen a better Hotel staff anywhere. It's the kind of place where staff who meets you the day before remembers your name and greets you in the lobby. Even the housekeeping staff were a step above what you would see another properties. The rooms were elegant yet understated. Live jazz in the lobby every night was a nice touch. I've never had a better Hotel Concierge than Adrian. If you're staying here make sure to look him up.

Luxury Hotel in a central location and convenient to get to the various attractions of NY. Great choice.

The location was fantastic! We were able to walk to most attractions. Very close to Time Square. It is a beautiful, classic looking hotel and the staff was friendly. The downside was there is no pool and breakfast is $35 a person. It is an upscale hotel though, so that may be standard.

In a hotel so much praised located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world is comical not to find a free Wi-Fi… receptionist (not all) indisposing… for the next holiday we will definitely choose another hotel… ridiculous! Shampoo and Bubble bath not changed all or days…

Convenient, very good oetit Central lunch in Manhattan!

Back from New York for 8 days, we stayed at the hotel Intercontinental Barclay… Beautiful hotel, very well placed, 10 mn from Times Square and 3 mn from the Metro. The room is very comfortable, worthy of a French palace. The atmosphere is cosy, a little jazzy, since every day a small orchestra comes to play a music of ambiance. All the staff is extra, Mustapha and Adrian who sot at the reception are super nice, friendly and available… to the small care and we thank them wholeheartedly. Thank you! Small downside However, conso, breakfasts, and the restaurant are overpriced… Too bad we had to take them outside. (! ).

Very nice hotel rooms. Very nice staff. Attention price of the rooms very high. Drinks at the bar very expensive Wi-Fi fee but free of charge of 2 PCs.

Retro atmosphere and modern comforts. A true international Grand hotel. Strategic location for Midtown. Not to be done: breakfast in the hotel, $105 for two coffees and two brioches. In fact everyone will bring food from outside to consume it in the room or even (horror) in the lobby. To do: Ask the concierge of Tea Ferrari, suggest and organize the best excursions and solve any problem.
