The room was big, spacious, and had a beautiful view! Staff is very friendly and professional here. It was about a 10 minute walk from the station in a quiet area. I would stay here again.

Sleek, immaculately clean high-floor hotel with beautiful modern rooms. Amazing views from the rooms and from the outside lounge. Great bathtub/shower. Pointlessly small outside pool.

My wife and I stayed at the Yokohama Bay Hotel on a pre-cruise stay-over before joining our ship for a Japanese cruise.

We stayed here with our three children and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, even inviting us to take photos for the hotel’s guest wall.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the free toiletries and bath soaks available at the lobby.

There’s nothing special about the rooms here in fact mine didn’t have a microwave and the toilet was in the same room as the tub — but the service was super great and the breakfast was really good

We spent three nights at Fujiya Hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. Our room was spacious and had its own private onsen bath with natural hot spring water.

The room was a masterpiece of minimalist, warm design, with serene views. Waking up to the sound of birdsong instead of city noise was a true luxury.

ROKU KYOTO is a masterfully planned retreat. I used this stay as a strategic "break" in the middle of a busy Kyoto trip, and it was the perfect decision.

Amazing service from everyone and delicious food. Miss Hagiya, in particular, was very helpful and kind and spoke great English.

The town of Gora is nice enough and you may be tempted to stay in a bigger brand near the centre of town. My advice… make the effort.
A little secluded but in a good way.

Our stay in Hakone Kowakien Tenyu was more than perfect. Service is of the very high standard and staff is so friendly.

Stayed here during my second trip to hakone. The price per night is on the higher end for hakone accommodations, but that is to be expected when you are booking for more luxury options.

We had a great stay here, the rooms are excellent and the staff are super too. Would stay here again if we went back to Kyoto. Thank you ☺️

There were a lot of good hotel options in Kyoto but I’m so glad we stayed here.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect view of the lake and right next to public transportation options. The deluxe lake view room was huge and very clean.

We had a 3D2N stay here and the view of Lake Ashi from our room's floor-to-ceiling window was simply gorgeous! It was unforgettable.

Really great stay. The rooms are a good size, everything is spotless and clean, Wifi works well, location is convenient, and the service is really impeccable.

This is a very convenient hotel because it's within a stone's throw of Pontocho Alley with its myriad restaurants and bars, and right beside the subway, so you can reach anywhere in Kyoto quickly and

A bit far from the station, there is a bus/ shuttle but we chose not to take it, the walk is around 20 min and you go through the city with all the shops and restaurants.

Had a very pleasant stay here for two nights, the hotel is in a beautiful location next to the river and is about a 20 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, or 5 minutes in a taxi or bus.

Wonderful staff and huge and beautiful rooms. Felt like the Wynn to me. Spa costs around $25 but that payment gets you in anytime you want during your whole stay.

What an amazing stay at the The Kahala in Yokohama. Upon our arrival we were met by staff dressed beautifully in white jackets, dark slacks & welcoming smiles.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. We had 2 rooms on the 19th floor, a double room and a king room.

Hidden gem.

Roomy lodgings, delicious food, and a tub to relax in cover all the things I want from a ryokan.

This review is about 20 years past due but better late than never. It may have been known as a different hotel then but I remember enjoying the hotel. In particular the Onsen.

The hotel was spacious and it's an apartment style hotel where there is multiple rooms that can fit 5 of us altogether.

My mom and I loved the experience.

What a gem. We travel around the world and we could not remember the last time we were pampered and cared for as we were at our overnight stay at the Zen.

Had a wonderful time. If you plan to walk to the hotel, it's a hike! They offer shuttle van services in a nice and comfortable van.

We stayed here for a night, knowing how remote it is. Because we got a car, getting to the nearest 7-11 was 3 mins at most.
