It was a wonderful stay. Very nice view and great atmosphere. Enjoyed the pools. There was a gym that only had a threadmill and 10 kg weights at most.

The room was big, spacious, and had a beautiful view! Staff is very friendly and professional here. It was about a 10 minute walk from the station in a quiet area. I would stay here again.

Stayed in 3 different hotels during our recent trip to Japan and this was the best! The family room was clean and very spacious. Our room comes with a huge living room area and washing machine.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arashiyama. It’s a convenient and affordable stay in Arashiyama.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the free toiletries and bath soaks available at the lobby.

There’s nothing special about the rooms here in fact mine didn’t have a microwave and the toilet was in the same room as the tub — but the service was super great and the breakfast was really good

Amazing place. All the staff are incredible! The rooms were lovely but a bit pricey. Breakfast was very good.

We spent three nights at Fujiya Hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. Our room was spacious and had its own private onsen bath with natural hot spring water.

Amazing service from everyone and delicious food. Miss Hagiya, in particular, was very helpful and kind and spoke great English.

The town of Gora is nice enough and you may be tempted to stay in a bigger brand near the centre of town. My advice… make the effort.
A little secluded but in a good way.

There were a lot of good hotel options in Kyoto but I’m so glad we stayed here.

I wasn't initially aware that this property was part of the Hilton portfolio, but it certainly stands out as a unique and serene retreat.

Roku Kyoto Hotel gave us one of the best hotel-staying experience.
The hotel itself is really beautiful, especially at night. Everyone is well trained and warm.

We had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora from 13 to 16 June 2026 and found it to be a very convenient base for exploring Hakone.
The location is excellent.

Just came back from my Japan trip and I’d have to say that this was the best value for the money spent on a hotel in Japan.

Our group tour stopped at the Hakone Hotel (Fujiya Hotel Lake View Annex) for a one-night stay.
The hotel is stunning, and our room was comfortable.

Had a great time in Hakone for a brief stop in our travels around Japan of which we stayed here.

Our stay in Hakone Kowakien Tenyu was more than perfect. Service is of the very high standard and staff is so friendly.

Stayed here during my second trip to hakone. The price per night is on the higher end for hakone accommodations, but that is to be expected when you are booking for more luxury options.

Hotel Brighton Kyoto offers a comfortable and spacious stay, with rooms that are surprisingly large, the biggest I experienced on my Japan trip.

Kyoto Brighton Hotel is a hidden gem for those seeking a luxurious and tranquil stay in Kyoto.

The room was very clean, spacious, and had a comfortable sofa, which made the stay even more relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

My true rating would be 4.5. My only criticism is the hotel lobby is a bit dated, however, everything else was great. The rooms are very nicely renovated and a comfortable size.

A bit far from the station, there is a bus/ shuttle but we chose not to take it, the walk is around 20 min and you go through the city with all the shops and restaurants.

Had a very pleasant stay here for two nights, the hotel is in a beautiful location next to the river and is about a 20 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, or 5 minutes in a taxi or bus.

We stayed in December 2024. The resort is old but well maintained.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helped receive and forward our luggage. It's a flat, easy walk from Naka-Gora cable car stop. The onsen was lovely.

This is by far the best faster hotel I’ve ever been staying over 2 days. Didn’t have to travel outside of the facility much.

Wonderful staff and huge and beautiful rooms. Felt like the Wynn to me. Spa costs around $25 but that payment gets you in anytime you want during your whole stay.

Hakone zen was an amazing ryokan experience with private hot spring bath and views of mt Fuji from our room. The food was excellent and service was fantastic.

My partner and I stayed here for one night in November and it was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Japan. We wish we had booked to stay for longer.
