Kamakura Hotels

A pleasant, clean and tidy hotel. Its location is really good and close to the temple. The room is spacious and large with all the electrical products you need.

This hotel is within easy walking distance of the JR station, with flat and convenient access—perfect for rolling luggage.

We were caught in the recent tsunami situation on 30 July and had to be evacuated from the hotel to higher ground for safety.

What can I say… The Hotel ist Just awesome. Good Restaurant, nice Location directly at the beach and like 1 minute away from the train station.

Superb resort hotel located just a short walk from the beach! Just an absolute experience the moment you walk through the doors and curved corridor before getting to front desk and the rooms.

Loved the location and proximity to the beach. Amazing breakfast and complimentary drinks and snacks late afternoon/early evening.
The rooms were small (but bigger than other rooms we had in Japan).

Booked this Inn on June. We love the luggage storage service because we arrived early and want to travel Kamakura first. People who work at front desk speaks English, which is great.

Overall, quite happy with our stay here.
Around 5 minutes walk from the train station. Super friendly and amicable staff.
Clean rooms.
Plenty of amenities in the lobby for the taking.

We had hoped to stay on Enoshima island, but the hotels there were full/expensive/both, so this was a good alternative, only a short-walk across the bridge to the island.

Check in time is a bit later than normal hotel at 4pm.
Room is clean and view is nice.
The soundproof window works well if you close it properly.

Quiet, old, and clean. Room was nice and spacious, and although situated next to streetcar, it's quiet in the evening when the train stops running.

Quaint traditional ryokan, we chose the 'Botan' room that had a private washroom, with a mini-balcony overlooking the Enoden train line.

Right off the main city and by the train line, this air bnb was a gem of Enoshima.

One of the best hostel/airbnb I’ve stayed at in Japan. Kamakura is expensive and has limited hotel options, so kinda have to choose from minshuku/hostels, this one is probably the best you will find.

Very spacious and clean. Location is near the beach, pleasantly quiet area. Check in was done smoothly.

This was the most pleasant stay we’ve had so far. We truly appreciated that they offered to look after our luggage, as we arrived early before check-in time.

A great hotel with helpful staffs, convenient location, complimentary unlimited toiletries supplies (including bath powders for tub), facial wash, overnight cream, moisturizer for face application

Nice little flat with every you need. Pretty convenient location with supermarket and restaurants just around the corner. There are also bikes you can use. Has a washer and dryer.

Everything is perfect. This place has everything we need. The owner response quickly. The place is neat and clean.
I really recommend.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay. The location is a short, easy walk from train station and Komachi dori street. The front desk staff helped receive and forward our luggage.

It’s not an issue that the room doesn’t have TV, but the room is super dark so if reading something on paper can be a challenge.

Our room was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly, the location is great with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes as well as the central station nearby.

Tosei Hotel Cocone Kamakura.
One night stay on 20th Nov 2025.
We drove from Odawara to Kamakura and stay for a night.
This is a new hotel opened in 2022.

We had a wonderful stay at Toshi’s place. Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped.

We had such a great time at villa kamakura! The appartement was clean and bigger than expected!

10/10 experience overall, would highly recommend for a couple or family. The accommodations, service, amenities and breakfast were incredible.

We had an absolutely amazing one-night stay at modern ryokan kishi-ke.

📍 Location.
Love, love, love their location! 10/10 🙌
Right next to the train station and surrounded by supermarkets and tons of amazing restaurants 😋 Truly the perfect base for food hunting!

The hotel is super thoughtful, prepared most items for a traveller that needs things like, comb, cotton pad, shaver, hair perm, facial wash cream, body wash towel and many more.

Pros: the hotel is located nearby the station and convenience store. The view from the room was sooooo incredible. Recommended to see the sunset or sunrise!

I experienced the amazing dinner. All dishes have the memorable stories and atmosphere was so great. It worth to visit when you are near Kamakura aro.

Awesome!
Walking down a beautiful stone path, you can view many elegant traditional Japanese trees on both sides of the path. The calming view is enriched by a 170 year old house from the Edo period.

Fantastic hospitality great view and location.
If you love the classic & antique westernized Japanese hotel this is it.
Plus all the restaurants in this hotel are amazingly delicious.

It's a Great Hotel 🏩 great location and nice Western or Japanese style breakfast, very clean and great customers service, the only thing that would approve the outstanding quality is TV service they

Fantastic stay! Enjoyed the heated pool in December, beautiful sea view, and cozy atmosphere. The on-site restaurant on the 1F serves fantastic meals, and Chef Yasu-san is a dedicated and kind person.

An oasis with a private pool in the charming, sea-side quirkiness of Kamakura. One night felt like a mini beach holiday for us from Tokyo.

Great experience of staying in authentic Japanese house 3 min walk from the ocean. Very quiet neighborhood.
Laundry machine was benefit.

If you’re looking for calm and authentic Japanese experience, this is the place to go. Really good food such a zen atmosphere.

Used by 4 families. Each room had a washroom and a large dining table, so even a large number of people could have a stress-free stay.

The host is kind and willing to help even in the winter night. There is good a communication with him when we don't understand how to control the hot watercome out onto the bathtub.

I stayed one night at Villa Sacra in early April and absolutely loved it. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the station, which made it super convenient to explore Kamakura and

Villa Sacra is a wonderful guesthouse, conveniently located close to the station and lively areas.

I had a OK time here. All the shared rooms are mixed. The beds are super uncomfortable because they’re futons, The traditional type. The place itself is cute.

Next to a bus station.
15/20 min from city center by walk.
3 min walk to the ocean. Nice sunset spot with Fuji san.
Backpacker / guesthouse.
The owner and staff are super friendly.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Comfortable, a view of the water, and centrally located. It's a five-minute walk from the station. (Exit the station, turn left, and look for a "B&B" sign.

The experience at this accommodation will be something I'll never forget. I left my passport at the Hakone hotel, but the host made a proactive effort to resolve the issue.

Stayed for 1 night the landlady was really helpful and great made my day when she gave me her gift it was really nice and the location was nice.

Really nice experience a this place, the lady in the reception is super lovely and helpful, and the rooms are nice a clean. One of the best places to stay in Kamakura!

Great place honestly. The staff was so nice, the inkeeper Jiro is a wonderful guy.

Firstly, the location is great: hidden in a small quiet street but close to Kotoku-in, Hasedera and the Enoden line.
The room is cleverly arranged and fully-equipped.

I had a wonderful stay at this place! Mao-san was very friendly and spoke several languages. I will definitely be back again!

Bathrooms are shared with other guests on the same floor. Mao-san is a good host and speaks multiple languages (Korean, Chinese, some English) for overseas guests.

The guesthouse is perfect, located close to the beach, in a calm area. I really loved the aesthetic of the place!
The girl who welcomed me was really nice and explained everything perfectly.

A calm and clean oasis in a quiet area.
I only struggled with the mattress in the dormitory, which I found to be thin (Japanese futon-style) and it's directly on the wooden frame of the bunk bed.

Stayed here the night and it was perfect! Very cosy and comfortable beds. The sauna was such a nice way to end the day and we loved our traditional Japanese meal here in a beautiful setting.

Stopped in for lunch! It was such a sleek & modern space with an amazing little cafe as part of the lodge. Recently built (opened July 2024) with modern amenities (sauna!

I will absolutely be back and to stay longer. The host is incredibly nice and gracious. She does her best to speak English and recommends local restaurants.

Such a gem! So close to the ocean and such nice rooms with a healthy nourishing breakfast included. The host was so kind and overall it felt like home.

Close to Kamakura station and Enoden line! Basic rooms but had everything you need. Shower was powerful and water was hot!

Nice hotel well located with warm clean rooms suitable for holiday travellers. Good price if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in kamakura.
