The owner and wife of Tsukinoya are the most kind people ever. He helped me plan out my journey to Yamanashi for the next day, but we had rare heavy snowfall in Hakone and had to change plans a bit.

This place should be a 5 star inn. Seriously. Been around the world and this place definitely takes top place. The couple that run this place is extremely nice and hospitality is off the chart.

Truly worth a stay here if you visit Hakone. There's 2 bus stops right outside the hotel, the staff are professional, they spoke both fluent English and Chinese, and were very accommodating.

Make sure to check in early if you want to book a private onsen. They have three, only the big one accommodates three people or more, the other two just two.

I have no idea how this place is ranked 2 star, it's a proper resort!

Beautiful and special onsen experience! We booked the Hoshi Western style room on 3F and it was perfect for us. Ambiance and atmosphere of the room was just what we were looking for.

I stumbled across this accommodation by chance and feel incredibly lucky to have booked here. I have rarely encountered such a warm, cheerful, and lovely hostess as Kana.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my sister before moving on to fujikawaguchiko. The hostess Kana is super nice.

My wife and I had a great experience here. The accommodations were very clean, modern with nice equipment, and very cozy with cute decor. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating.

The owners gave us the warmest welcome after arriving late and after a long day of traveling. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Love the big bathtub for soaking after a long day of travel.

Amazing place. All the staff are incredible! The rooms were lovely but a bit pricey. Breakfast was very good.

We spent three nights at Fujiya Hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. Our room was spacious and had its own private onsen bath with natural hot spring water.

Great place to stay at. Recommend to travel with your car (rental Car), but still they offer free shuttle to the train station.

I can't express in words what an enjoyable time we've had at the Hyatt Regency Hakone! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of pure relaxation and luxury.

Stayed here during my second trip to hakone. The price per night is on the higher end for hakone accommodations, but that is to be expected when you are booking for more luxury options.

The property and cabins are so zen. I loved my stay here. The villas have a wood burning stove and private onsen. Very spacious and I’d stay here again :)

Location is perfect, just exit the station, under the tunnel and you are there. The cable car is also at the same location as the train station, so easy.

Amazing service from everyone and delicious food. Miss Hagiya, in particular, was very helpful and kind and spoke great English.

The town of Gora is nice enough and you may be tempted to stay in a bigger brand near the centre of town. My advice… make the effort.
A little secluded but in a good way.

My family had a wonderful one-night stay at this "ryokan" hotel nestled in the mountains of Hakone.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect view of the lake and right next to public transportation options. The deluxe lake view room was huge and very clean.

We had a 3D2N stay here and the view of Lake Ashi from our room's floor-to-ceiling window was simply gorgeous! It was unforgettable.

This was everything we hoped for and more when booking a stay at a Ryokan.

We stayed in the Uji room, a beautiful traditional Japanese space with tatami floors, futon beds, low tables and a wonderful balcony.

Hotel Kajikaso is the hotel to stay in Hakone if you want a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. The onsens were luxurious and clean, the Kaiseki dinner they prepared was delicious and decadent.

The private onsen was the highlight of our trip so far! The rooms were delightful with lots of little amenities like a traditional Japanese craft and free local beverages.

We booked the Sanjo room, there were plenty of space for the 4 of us. The room is clean and very comfortable. It was modern yet keeping the Japanese old day charm design still.

A bit far from the station, there is a bus/ shuttle but we chose not to take it, the walk is around 20 min and you go through the city with all the shops and restaurants.

Had a very pleasant stay here for two nights, the hotel is in a beautiful location next to the river and is about a 20 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, or 5 minutes in a taxi or bus.

An absolutely first class Ryokan. Perfect location with a view of the mountains. Amazing Onsens and spa. Breakfast and dinner included. Each serving is a work of art.
