Cheap Hotels in Kanagawa

I stumbled across this accommodation by chance and feel incredibly lucky to have booked here. I have rarely encountered such a warm, cheerful, and lovely hostess as Kana.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my sister before moving on to fujikawaguchiko. The hostess Kana is super nice.

Absolutely lovely place to stay!
Kai-san was so kind and the perfect host. Definitely get his Okonimiyaki! It was such a cool evening sitting together grilling it.
The surrounding nature is stunning.

We had a great time at the hostel. Kai, the local host, is an amazing guy and speaks very good English. You can join the boxing training in the morning and relax at the nearby river.

I stayed here before, they had a different name, but still same nice hotel. It's super convenient as its really close to nijo station, konbini and sushi restaurant.

I stayed here for two nights while showing my dad around Kyoto. It is really close to Nijo station that connects to Kyoto Station.

House is very cozy and clean. Complete with all toiletries and pantry to use freely. With private shared toilet.

Hot showers.
Not far from station.
Supermarkets near by.
Great kitchen for cooking.
Free coffee.
Nothing.
It was fabulous.

The Host “Kuba” was exceptionally friendly and hard working. Made us feel well taken care of. Super recommend this place for an authentic stay in Kyoto!

Itoya was an awesome stay! My traditional tatami mat room was spotless and felt extremely cozy.

Good location. Close to train/metro station with easy walking distance to attractions, and eating places.
Room is generally clean, well equipped with reasonable size at Japanese standard.

It’s a great place to stay if you traveling around Kyoto, it’s not too near or too far from the urban side of the Kyoto. Nearby there’s some restaurant and multiple convenience stores.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the place is very organized and clean, you have wide lockers to put your valuable items, the owners are very nice people and their dogs are adorable.

Great place honestly. The staff was so nice, the inkeeper Jiro is a wonderful guy.

Firstly, the location is great: hidden in a small quiet street but close to Kotoku-in, Hasedera and the Enoden line.
The room is cleverly arranged and fully-equipped.

This is an excellent little hotel. Location is great, just a few minutes from the train station and bus station. Many shops in the mall next door.

Though its high up in the slopes, it was easy to walk up and down! Really accessible and amenities were great. Toilets clean and usable. Cozy vibes as well.

A well-located hotel, close to subway stations and Nishiki Market. The staff were very attentive and polite.

The hotel is very convieniently located near the historic Gion area and very close to a vast mall that contains every type of shop you can imagine as well as many resturants.

One of the best hostel/airbnb I’ve stayed at in Japan. Kamakura is expensive and has limited hotel options, so kinda have to choose from minshuku/hostels, this one is probably the best you will find.

I stayed at Sato-san’s Airbnb in Koshigoe, Kamakura from April 22 to 25, 2025, and it truly exceeded expectations.

Just ended a 3-night stay at Hotel Plumm. The room is well-lit and clean. A considerable good space for 3 pax considering is in Japan, I booked a Twin Delux Room. Location is good.

The hotel was located right near the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed here for a couple of days. The rooms were clean but spartan, you didn't get any single use amenities in the room but things were available in the hotel lobby.

PRO: I would give 5 stars for staff, amenities, how quiet it is, and location. The staff is really wonderful.

Stayed here for two nights for pre-embarking a cruise. The room size is reasonable and all amenities are sufficient and functional!

For a budget hotel, it’s probably the best chain in Japan. Free breakfast, clean rooms, and one free stay after 10 nights in any of their hotels.

Rooms are very clean, but bed is a bit hard and basic, only 1 pillow. Beware, the rooms are very small, it is a business hotel. Everything works perfectly though.

Great hotel that was a really good price for a single traveler. Lovely amenities, easy check in and no drama for checking out 15m late which is highly appreciated.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Kamakura, Enoshima & other nearby places.

Surprisingly spacious room in a busy city with updated facilities and super friendly staff. There's a slight uphill walk but not too bad if you don't have a load of heavy luggage.

A wonderful hotel right in downtown Minato-Mirai. The rooms are really comfortable and clean and have everything you will need.

Very small rooms, walls are not thick and easy to hear next door, I had to use white noise from my mobile phone to sleep as I am a light sleeper, my wife and no problems.

Great hostel, small indoor & outdoor onsen on-site, a bigger public onsen available 15 minutes walk or 1 bus stop away from the hostel.
Good recommendations available and super helpful staff.

Hostel and Onsen. Everything is well organised and kitchen is available with dining room attached. Rooms on dormitories but may be double bed for couples or families also available.

I had a great stay at this onsen hostel! The price was very affordable, but the quality exceeded my expectations.

Our first trip to Hakone, and this was a fantastic place to stay! Four different onsen baths — two male, two female.

It is budget friendly hotel which we can get in the center of the city. Walkable distance to many places including city center. Neat and clean. U can do own check out.
