Hostels in KanagawaHostel

What a sanctuary of peace within a big city. The Piece Hostel Sanjo was the perfect place to plan the activities for our day, get local recommendations, go explore and come back to rest for the night.

Easily the best hostel experience I've ever had. The common areas and bathrooms feel like a high end hotel. Staff was very communicative and accommodating to my late check in due to travel delays.

My family, husband and I stayed at Hakone Tent's apartment, and it was a really nice experience!

Extremely friendly staffs and clean accomodation. Futon was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Highly recommend.

Great hostel, small indoor & outdoor onsen on-site, a bigger public onsen available 15 minutes walk or 1 bus stop away from the hostel.
Good recommendations available and super helpful staff.

Hostel and Onsen. Everything is well organised and kitchen is available with dining room attached. Rooms on dormitories but may be double bed for couples or families also available.

I booked this place the day before my Hakone stay and was just looking for an inexpensive place to stay. Good price and close to the Odakyu station (6 min walk).

Some of the best hospitality I’ve ever had. Has this cute lil get together where you pay 2, 000 yen and get to eat with other people staying with you.

It is absolutely amazing here, they thought of every detail. This is by far the best hotel/ hostel I have stayed.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay! The overall aesthetic is welcoming and peaceful. Accessing the guesthouse was easy from the station using the bus.

I highly recommend Asante Inn! We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay. The location is amazing, with easy access to bus. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit.

We had an amazing 2 nights stay here, enjoyed the onsen, the traditional ryokan feeling and the food, not to forget the amazing service from Yuy (sorry for butchering the name).

The service is top notch! I booked a room but couldn't stay due to a medical emergency and had to return home early. Plum Ryokan was very kind. They canceled my reservation without a cancellation fee.

I was really fond of this Hotel. The rooms were really nice since we had an more original rooms which was just great!

The guesthouse is perfect, located close to the beach, in a calm area. I really loved the aesthetic of the place!
The girl who welcomed me was really nice and explained everything perfectly.

A calm and clean oasis in a quiet area.
I only struggled with the mattress in the dormitory, which I found to be thin (Japanese futon-style) and it's directly on the wooden frame of the bunk bed.

We had a wonderful stay at Gen Hakone Gora. The entire experience was incredibly relaxing especially following Tokyo. The lobby and whole hotel is peaceful, and smells great.

We stayed here for 2 nights — wish it had been more. The hotel is nice. The service is impeccable. The shuttle picked us up at the train station with minimal notice.

A wonderful little family-run guesthouse. Staying here feels like having a home in Yokohama.

Stayed here for 3 days and it was perfect.
Walking distances to the Art gallery, Lawson, Pizza place and other nice spots. Location is great.
It has good showers. The bed is traditional and very cozy.

Great little hostel.
Situated above the chillulu coffee shop.
At the top of the stairs at check in you are right next to the rows of pod bunks about 16 I think.

Excellent value for money, would stay again!

I would come to Kyoto again just for this hostel! It was so clean, there were all amenities needed included, and the staff were very kind and sociable. My favourite part was probably the common space.

Piece Hostel was such a nice stay. Ken was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, warm and so kind! He went above and beyond in making the experience the best possible. I never felt uncomfortable once.

Kyoto Guesthouse HIVE (it will also come up as Room&Bed Fun stay Kyoto) is located a short walk from many transit stations, tourist stops and nature is not all that far away.

Great location, 20 minute walk away from the city center, with plenty of shops and restaurants locally including 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed chatting with the host in his downstairs bar over some drinks.
I hope his homemade drinks are available next time! I am very interested to try them.

I had absolutely good stay here! it’s very clean everywhere I barely seen a dust. The bed was also very comfortable I had great sleep during my stayed.

Stayed here the night and it was perfect! Very cosy and comfortable beds. The sauna was such a nice way to end the day and we loved our traditional Japanese meal here in a beautiful setting.

Stopped in for lunch! It was such a sleek & modern space with an amazing little cafe as part of the lodge. Recently built (opened July 2024) with modern amenities (sauna!

I will absolutely be back and to stay longer. The host is incredibly nice and gracious. She does her best to speak English and recommends local restaurants.

Such a gem! So close to the ocean and such nice rooms with a healthy nourishing breakfast included. The host was so kind and overall it felt like home.

Close to Kamakura station and Enoden line! Basic rooms but had everything you need. Shower was powerful and water was hot!

Nice hotel well located with warm clean rooms suitable for holiday travellers. Good price if you are looking for a relaxing holiday in kamakura.

It takes a bit of walking to reach the ryokan, but the area is quiet and peaceful.
The outdoor onsen is excellent and feels very authentic.

Very cozy and quiet getaway spot. The staffs are kind, and the food is amazing! Private outdoor bath is available for reservation, and is very comfortable.

Quaint quiet spot with a nice common area. Not far from the station. Didn't really have much interaction with the service but there were no issues.

Cute little homestay, games area to have some fun with friends and cosy communal area to relax in the evenings and the rooftop views are incredible.

I had no trouble walking from the station and finding this venue as the 'Have a nice day' logo can be seen from the main street.

Top price and everything was clean and fine. In addition, the location is great! Close to the station and literally right in front of the castle.

I stayed at Amigo House for 4 nights and I had such a pleasant stay here. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostel and coliving space, Amigo House is def at top rate.

Really good experience at Amigo, well organized. Nice general area. Prefect for solo travelers who would like to interact with other travelers. Good place to work. Owner is really nice! 👍

I had a lovely stay at this hostel. The staff was so welcoming and nice!
Very pretty rooms and a comfy and clean bed!

Location.
Fantastic location! Conveniently situated near two train stations and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants.
Staff.
Absolutely lovely!

The bestest hostel I have ever stayed in my years of backpacking life!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed!
I was supposed to stay in another place that was terrible so I found Ryokan hostel last minute and it was FANTASTIC!
