Hostel and Onsen. Everything is well organised and kitchen is available with dining room attached. Rooms on dormitories but may be double bed for couples or families also available.

A lovely quiet spot, family and solo friendly. Onsen is public but reserved by time with your room at check-in, so no worries about privacy (or tattoos). Rooms are simple but have basic amenities.

I had a great stay at this onsen hostel! The price was very affordable, but the quality exceeded my expectations.

Our first trip to Hakone, and this was a fantastic place to stay! Four different onsen baths — two male, two female.

The guesthouse is perfect, located close to the beach, in a calm area. I really loved the aesthetic of the place!
The girl who welcomed me was really nice and explained everything perfectly.

A calm and clean oasis in a quiet area.
I only struggled with the mattress in the dormitory, which I found to be thin (Japanese futon-style) and it's directly on the wooden frame of the bunk bed.

Had the most incredible stay at Gen Hakone Gora. The staff were all so lovely. Lots of inclusions for drinks and snacks.

A beautiful intimate hotel surrounded by the hills of Hakone.
The views are spectacular from your room, each with its own private Onsen on the balcony.

So we adored hakone and our stay here the women that work here are so welcoming friendly and helpful I was actually quite sad to leave they have lots of stay options it's private room then they have

This was one of the best experiences we had in Japan! Amazing people who run this guest house. It was clean, well maintained and the rooms were comfortable and spacious.

What a sanctuary of peace within a big city. The Piece Hostel Sanjo was the perfect place to plan the activities for our day, get local recommendations, go explore and come back to rest for the night.

Easily the best hostel experience I've ever had. The common areas and bathrooms feel like a high end hotel. Staff was very communicative and accommodating to my late check in due to travel delays.

The service is top notch! I booked a room but couldn't stay due to a medical emergency and had to return home early. Plum Ryokan was very kind. They canceled my reservation without a cancellation fee.

I was really fond of this Hotel. The rooms were really nice since we had an more original rooms which was just great!

At the top of the stairs at check in you are right next to the rows of pod bunks about 16 I think.

A wonderful little family-run guesthouse. Staying here feels like having a home in Yokohama.

Stayed here for 3 days and it was perfect.
Walking distances to the Art gallery, Lawson, Pizza place and other nice spots. Location is great.
It has good showers. The bed is traditional and very cozy.

My family, husband and I stayed at Hakone Tent's apartment, and it was a really nice experience!

Extremely friendly staffs and clean accomodation. Futon was extremely comfortable and we slept well. Highly recommend.

It takes a bit of walking to reach the ryokan, but the area is quiet and peaceful.
The outdoor onsen is excellent and feels very authentic.

I had absolutely good stay here! it’s very clean everywhere I barely seen a dust. The bed was also very comfortable I had great sleep during my stayed.

I had no trouble walking from the station and finding this venue as the 'Have a nice day' logo can be seen from the main street.

Top price and everything was clean and fine. In addition, the location is great! Close to the station and literally right in front of the castle.

Such a gem! So close to the ocean and such nice rooms with a healthy nourishing breakfast included. The host was so kind and overall it felt like home.

Close to Kamakura station and Enoden line! Basic rooms but had everything you need. Shower was powerful and water was hot!

Quaint quiet spot with a nice common area. Not far from the station. Didn't really have much interaction with the service but there were no issues.

Cute little homestay, games area to have some fun with friends and cosy communal area to relax in the evenings and the rooftop views are incredible.

I stayed at Amigo House for 4 nights and I had such a pleasant stay here. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostel and coliving space, Amigo House is def at top rate.

Really good experience at Amigo, well organized. Nice general area. Prefect for solo travelers who would like to interact with other travelers. Good place to work. Owner is really nice! 👍

I would come to Kyoto again just for this hostel! It was so clean, there were all amenities needed included, and the staff were very kind and sociable. My favourite part was probably the common space.

Piece Hostel was such a nice stay. Ken was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, warm and so kind! He went above and beyond in making the experience the best possible. I never felt uncomfortable once.

Chill vibes. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Location is perfect within a 5-7 minute walk to the Odawara bus and railway again.

Typical hostel, small but adequate. Good showers and quiet (but bring earplugs for the snorers). Small kitchen, creaky floor. Only stairs.
