Excellent value. Clean rooms, simple but hearty breakfast buffet, free flow beverages at the lobby, and fresh towels for each day you would stay there, all at a competitive price. Moreover, it's about a ten minute walk away from Kyoto Station, so it's fairly accessible. The temperature of waters from the showers fluctuate quite a bit and the dormitory room doors are rather heavy, so the doors make quite a noticeable 'thud" when opened and closed casually by other dormitory guests. Light sleepers should make arrangements to reduce the noise that they would be exposed to if staying in a shared dormitory.

Great hostel! Friendly staff. Big and comfortable beds, clean rooms. Breakfast is versatile for a hostel. Towels can be changed at any time for free. Close to Kyoto station, but far from downtown area (gion area). It is possible to rent bicycles at the hostel. 2 times a weak there is a food party in the hostels bar (food is free if you buy any low priced drink)

Good location. Very busy hostel with smaller rooms and lots of people. Showers only on first floor, other use it is generally convenient.

Very clean, service is fantastic, close to station, cheap drinks, bike rental and laundry available, very reasonably priced, and they provide free breakfast in the morning.

Good Hostel, very neat and clean. Breakfast despite being very simple (you are warned at check-in) makes you the workaround. While it is true that we have not received the friendliest treatment here in the country, they are polite. Recommended, a stone's throw from the train station.

Piece hostel is comprised of bunk beds and rooms with beds. Privacy for bunk beds is what you expect, but for the rooms are quite decent for hostels. Bathrooms are shared and showers are located on first floor with 8 (? ) shower compartments. You will find one that you can use majority of the time. Location is very convenient as it is located only a 5 minute walk from Kyoto Station. There you will find a shopping mall with food and lots more. There is an in house bar, bike rental, and free simple breakfast. Wi-Fi is provided at no cost. Washer and dryers are available at your cost. Checkout time is at 11:00am. No curfew, but doors are locked that can be opened with your room key.

Hostel is located in Kyoto eight, close to jr/Limuzin bus station, this is a good choice if you are travelling on Jr. Accommodation: The counter is cordial, there are problems can help solve, the room is very large, very clean, shared bathroom men and women separate, are clean, public areas have Dyson hair dryer can be used, pay washing machine/dryer outdoor public areas, towels can be replaced in the morning next to the counter on the 1 floor, if you want to change bath towels at night, You can ask directly with the counter.
Hostel occasional events will be held in the evening, the accommodation can participate free of charge, but the smoke is full of heavy … On the whole, this side is a convenient choice.

It offers a lot for how cheap it is, delighted with the hostel. Super recommended.

The hostel is very clean and in a good location from the train station. They ha e bike rentals for 500 yen. The breakfast is quite good and of you love local bread you will enjoy it. Happy hour at night is great too, 200 Yen for a beer or plum wine. The private rooms are minimal and showers are quite spacious.

The counter staff is very kind. The mattress is very comfortable and is thick sponge type. Environment and clean. Although the breakfast is not much, very can eat enough (but after eating the meal, they have to wash dry, put back in place. ) Just look like you can't accept it).
It's not far from Kyoto Railway Station. Want to make a friend on the road, this family can!

Comfortable and tidy, double room small, bed quite comfortable. Can choose their own pillows to use, pillows in addition to different sizes also have different materials. Shared bathroom has bath milk, shampoo, hair cream, girls bathroom has six, boys bathroom also has six, bathroom is bright and clean, but also wet and dry separation. There are about 4 strong hair dryers in the shared hairdryer area. 24 hours supply has black tea, roasted tea, oolong tea, green tea. There is a service for renting bicycles and purchasing one-day vouchers for buses. A free breakfast is available. On Monday night there was Osaka burning party and Thursday night was the octopus burning party, it seems that I can do it for myself to eat, but unfortunately I did not participate in this trip only to see Wenxuan. Three computers are available for free and are very convenient to query routes.

I never give reviews out but this place deserves the best. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and the service was outstanding. Even provided everyone with breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this place to everyone that visits Kyoto.

Good place for relax. You can enjoy life like you stay at your home! Relaxation zone for eat drink reading more convenient for 20 guys at the same time. Nice bathrooms, shower rooms All staff have nice communication with you and explain everything for your convenience in your trip.

The Hotel is nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have very nice bathrooms. All basic amenities covered. Breakfast provided is fresh and tasty. Rooms are abit small, but cozy. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is hiding in a small alley and the rooms are small, as well as the price which is quite high. A good point nonetheless for the breakfast which is free.

Make sure to book ahead of time and you'll be able to look forward to one of the most welcoming places for your stay in Kyoto! I arrived just in time to enjoy one of their frequent Takoyaki get-together parties on my birthday, quite enjoyable! Will return to it quite soon! :D.

Best hostel in our trip. Rooms were perfect. Staff was lovely. Even the food parties were great. If you wanna see smiling faces and great breakfasts go to Kyoto and stay at Piece Hostel.

Piece Hostel Kyoto is an innovative yet super clean and comfortable hostel located near Kyoto Station. It offers many different services (bike rentals, tourist information, ect) and organizes events for the guests and has a very nice terrace up on the third floor. Really really recommended especially for young people who wants to meet other travellers from all over the world.

Amazing! My husband and I came in at 11:30pm without a reservation and they luckily had a bed available. The facilities are immaculate and super friendly to backpackers. The breakfast was free and robust. We wanted to stay there for the rest of our trip, but they didn't have space for the next few nights. When we come back to Kyoto we will absolutely stay here.

Great hostel in the center of Tokyo, just besides the train station. The rooms couldn't be tinier but didn't bother me. There is breakfast included which has toast, butter, jam, pastries, rice and curry. It doesnt include milk or juice. All the things you can buy there like beer, laundry are very cheap, including renting a bike during the day. Good deal. The showers are awesome.

Location is right next to the station and the entire building is extremely clean! The showers are all on the first floor, but each shower is individually separated. The workers are really nice and speak English. There's free coffee, tea, and breakfast. Overall, a really awesome place to stay!

Small hotel with modern facilities, excellent cleaning and treatment great. In addition, they offer buffet breakfast and also have a kitchen for community use. Very good location next to the main station of Kyoto. If we return to Kyoto we will repeat without doubt.

A great and cheap place to stay. Everyone here needs to wash their own dishes. Small rooms are small, but very comfortable.

A great hostel to stay. The hostel lounge is a nice place to hangout and meet fellow travelers and chat over drinks. The hostel is located close to Kyoto station so if you have a morning train to catch (like me) then it's really convenient. Complimentary breakfast was provided to all guests. The receptionist was really nice and had the breakfast packed for me since I was leaving early in the morning. Would strongly recommend the place.

Hostel is located at a walking distance from Kyoto Station, exit near Shinkansen and McDonald. Room is clean. Design is modern. Service is great. Cleaning is done frequently on the shower area and toilet. Dressing and makeup area provide Panasonic's latest hair dryer! There's a range of pillow to choose from to suit your need.

Best hostel I've stayed in. Piece Hostel was the highlight of our trip to Japan last year. The rooms were small but very well equiped and mostly clean. All the facilities were state of the art and in working order. The free breakfast was helpful but the kitchen did get crowded at times. The staff were always kind and willing to help wherever they can. Especially Minoru who cooked up dinner one night for the whole hostel. I would never stay anywhere else in Kyoto over Piece Hostel. Thanks for everything guys.

Very great hotel for low-cost tourist, about 3 minute walk from kyoto station. Staff are very friendly and fluent in English. There is also free breakfast and little drink bar. Make sure you check out before 11 am.

Great hostel with a fantasticly convenient location next to the station. The breakfast spread is impressive and the wireless signal is always strong. The rooms are small though, so don't expect a lot of room to spread your belongings out.

My fiancee and I got a private room here and found the accommodations very comfortable! the staff were professional, friendly and made us feel welcome, breakfast was delicious and the hostel holds community events. There are helpful lighted signposts that guide your way in if you're walking in from the station at night, and the entire building just feels very classy and clean.

Swankiest hostel I've ever stayed at. Excellent value and great amenities. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast is yummy and "shared" showers are actually really comfortable — individual rooms with a private changing space in each. We stayed in their private double: huge bed with TV and sink/dryer. Definitely enough for those who are exploring all day and just need a comfortable place to sleep. Would stay here again.

First of all we would like to thank the owner and all the front desk staff who made our stay such a pleasant one! (If you are reading this! ) We stayed three night at this Hostel’s private room for two so happily that we have recommended all our friends to look nowhere but this place when they visit Kyoto. We will not repeat every great comments made already by other reviewers. They are absolutely true. What impressed us and most helpful thing is the owner and the front desk staff offer three fluent languages: English, Japanese and Chinese! You cannot get anything like this in any star hotel! The huge map on the wall was so helpful when you ask directions. The front desk staff and the owner there would go extra miles to help you from how to get to the places to the one day bus pass was really thoughtful. Make sure you ask the owner for recommendations of the places to see or things to do. He is so knowledgeable and we were able to see more truly Japanese places in Kyoto than we had planned. We happened to arrive on a Saturday the hotel was hosting a free party with Kyoto pancakes and drinks. It was such a warm welcome feeling, just like some old friends reunion. We found all the guests were courteous and friendly. If you are a couple a private room is a true deal. We will definitely stay there if we ever go back to Kyoto.

I couldn't book the hostel because it was full but I'm truly grateful Miro, the efficient staff helped me out last night finding a place to stay.
