We got stuck here for 4 days and we were still stuck due to the weather in our final destination. The staff were amazing and allowed my autistic son anything of the menu and catered his needs.

You might find a cheaper room elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. The Carlton service is worth twice the price.

Pretty fancy hotel.
The good:
— Great gym, plenty of weights and machines as well as dumbells and cardio equipment. No resistance bands or foam rollers. Very busy.
— Solid pool/sauna.

The hotel itself is lovely, very kind and courteous staff. The restaurants have delightful food and the coffee from the coffee stand is strong.

Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort was the perfect venue for our wedding day and we honestly could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing.

We stayed her for our 6th year anniversary and we had an excellent time from start to finish. The staff are exceptionally obliging, the facilities are top notch.

I cannot praise these two enough! Their home was spotless and beautiful. Incredibly warm and welcoming. They helped us get around the city.

I was there 4 days and it was amazing! Perfect room, great bathroom, clean with comfortable shower! Very convenient stop 3 minutes walk away that takes you to the center of Dublin!

Staying at Shannonside House was a wise choice.

The whole place is lovely! Also close to the center of Athlone. The owners were particularly kind and it was a pleasure getting to know them. Highly recommended!

A lovely find… very close to Athlone town centre but in a very peaceful location. Rooms spacious, clean and practical… with very comfortable beds.

A very nice place around the corner from the Greenway. To me it was the most strategic location while cycling from Mullingar. Easy access, good location, clean and spacious room with a nice bathroom.

We had a lunch with the in-laws in the upstairs rooms and it was the best service we've experienced anywhere in a long time.

Such a terrific group of servers: Friendly, helpful, efficient.

We stayed at Carton House on Friday, 5th June. The food in Kathleen’s Kitchen was fantastic. The Dover sole was one of the best I have eaten in a long time.

We stayed at Carton House on Saturday 25/04 and wanted to take a moment to specifically recognise George at reception.

We had a lovely stay at Ghan house. It is a spectacular old house in the centre of Carlingford however the grounds around the house make you feel like you are in the countryside.

We had dinner at Ghan House on a Friday night. There was no problem getting a reservation online, and our table was nice with a view of the gardens. The dining room wasn't too busy.

Great wee stay we had rooms are clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly, location was great for us … wouldn't hesitate coming back, good value for money.

Stayed for 3 nights, second time visiting. The breakfast is my favourite part about this hotel. The little smoothies & overnight oat chia seed puddings are just fab.

Pros:
Central location. Easy to walk to restaurants.
Nice Decor. Very contemporary.
Spacious bathroom.
Clean.
Lovely garden in back that backs up to the creek.
Note: It's a hotel. No breakfast.

I had the opportunity to stay here for a night, and I must say I was truly impressed—especially for a small town.

Amazing communication with hosts who made themselves always available to answer to questions and give us an easy late check in prior to our early morning flight!

My husband and I stayed at Rose Cottage for an overnight before our flight the next day. It was a last minute place to stay for us and I’d say we struck gold.

I regularly stay here for work. It is a quiet, comfortable hotel located within 20 mins of Dublin and is very convenient for meetings.

Location of the hotel was perfect. Close to everything central Dublin, very walkable but quiet enough to sleep. Great rooms with a comfortable bed.

This hotel was in a fantastic location, with easy access to almost everything. Our room was a decent size, super clean, well-maintained, and the bed was comfortable.

From the fabulous front of house staff to the sumptuous breakfast, the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road was the ideal location and venue for a very special night away with family.

Only thing l didn’t like. It was no water in the gym, even l asked the receptionist and she said l will deal with it, the water never arrived.

Starting with the check in staff and then the waiters and bartenders, I had a lovely 3 night stay. At check in I was immediately provided with my room after an overnight flight.

Had lunch at the restaurant, an unpretentious place closer to a fast food joint than fine dining. The fish in fish & chips was the largest I ever had, and it was excellent.

Had lunch here today with my son. We both had Fresh salmon, mashed spuds, roasted veg with capers and a lovely white sauce.

I’ve stayed there for six nights in June 2026 as a gold member.
Pros:
Good location, very clean, quiet and sound proof windows, modern looks and excellent breakfast.

We spent two nights here on a layover. This was probably our fourth or fifth time staying in Dublin. Loved the convenience and location of this hotel.

The owner is fantastic, so kind, funny and always available. The room was simple, functional and very clean.
I would chose this place over again if I had to come back here in Dublin.

It is a pleasent accomodation, very good location. The host is a nice guy. I definitelly recomnend the place. Good value for money.

After been at an afternoon show in the bord gais, myself & my 4 sisters took my 82 year old mam here for lunch & cocktails and all I can say is wow.

Fantastic location! We parked our car in the parking lot out front and walked everywhere. Centrally located to all things Dublin.
The room was clean and nicely appointed.
