I get why the Ashling could look attractive to many people: it provides the kind of "old school" rather "luxurious" experience that you can get in upper-hand hotel chain, without much surprise: rooms

My family and I stayed at the Ashling for 3 days in February 2026.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff are very friendly and really go that extra bit to make you feel welcome. The location is as good as it gets.

Great location and lovely bedroom. Only fault I had with hotel was the breakfast.

Location is fantastic, nice new hotel, great atmosphere in lobby, reception, bar & dining room. Staff are excellent, really helpful & want the hotel to be the best.

I should preface that I was a Dublin resident for many years, and needed a place to sleep during a pass-through before returning to the US. This is a decent budget hotel for those who require a place

Great value for money. Took our baggage from 930am and we were so grateful for this after an early morning flight.
Check in was simple and easy and the staff were friendly!

Perfect experience. The service was phenomenal.
The cafe has delicious food, they can even pack a lunch for you if you can't make it or are in a rush.

We stayed at the Spencer Hotel last weekend for a couple of nights while in Dublin to see Moulin Rouge, and once again it didn’t disappoint.

Great hotel with good service. Rooms are spacious, clean and has everything you need incl a fridge. Breakfast was great and dinners too.

Due to bad weather in Amsterdam, our flight arrived into Dublin late and we missed our connection. The airline arranged for our hotel which turned out to be the Carlton.
What a pleasant surprise!

Stayed here for 3 nights, I highly recommend it! The rooms are big and comfortable, calm and no noise in the floors. The staff are very helpful!

Location was perfect, the Dublin express stops right outside the hotel and pick up just round the corner.
Most of the main attractions are 10, 15 or 20mins walk.

The ideal spot too, step outside and your centre Dublin.

Everything about this visit was excellent. Good value, spacious room with bathtub, spotlessly clean, early check in, convenient location, hearty breakfast, and good on site restaurant.

Have a beautiful meal in the Quay 14! Lovely friendly staff!

We got stuck here for 4 days and we were still stuck due to the weather in our final destination. The staff were amazing and allowed my autistic son anything of the menu and catered his needs.

You might find a cheaper room elsewhere, but you get what you pay for. The Carlton service is worth twice the price.

Kevin was incredibly friendly and professional. He greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome right away. Excellent first impression of the hotel must say!

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was excellent—close to everything we needed while still being quiet and relaxing.

Spotlessly clean apartment. Well appointed. Everything looked fresh and new. Upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment which was a lovely surprise. Parking at the apartments was in an underground car park.

Top class service! Everything was exceptional. Finding one family room for 5 isn’t always easy but this place delivered. More than enough space in a very clean family room. The front desk was helpful.

Breakfast for the kids (6 and 3 years old) completely for free. This is just incredible nice. Keep on doing that please, all families will appreciate a lot.

I had quite a pleasant stay here. The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival. The pool area was nice and well maintained.

We had a wonderful night in the rochestown lodge hotel. The only problem was we stayed only one night at the end of our holiday. If we could go back we’d stay the 5 nights.

There is something reassuring about a hotel that understands its purpose — not to overwhelm, but to quietly take care of you. The Mespil Hotel does exactly that.

Very good hotel located in a nice area of Dublin. Mariia at the reception made us feel very welcomed from the first minute. She was very helpful and gave us all the information about the hotel.

Lovely stay with family and friends for NYE. Christmas tree in the room is a lovely touch. Every member of staff that dealt with us was amazing. But…. Huge shout-out to Jaysree in Reservations!

Only thing l didn’t like. It was no water in the gym, even l asked the receptionist and she said l will deal with it, the water never arrived.

Starting with the check in staff and then the waiters and bartenders, I had a lovely 3 night stay. At check in I was immediately provided with my room after an overnight flight.

This was a great hotel for staying in Dublin a few nights. It was about a 25 min walk to the city center, or 10-15 min bus ride.

Hotel Number 31 is an absolute gem! The service, the breakfast, and the rooms were exceptionally good.

My city home from home. So close to city centre (15 min walk to Grafton Street) Laid back luxury. Free to roam.

Second stay here. Location can't be beat. Staff is awesome and very friendly. We arrived around 10 am from overseas and they let us check in early. Breakfast is delicious and well presented.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was incredible, the location was walkable but out of the fray and the room was darling.
