Excellent hotel in quality of service and price! The bed and pillows are super comfortable.
It has a restaurant that makes very rich and abundant food… Good beer!

For a two Days ok. Price Performance is right, you shouldn't expect too much.

I Travel often with my family and I have never once in my time on this earth been treated like that by an “owner”. We checked in with brendan who was a very friendly man with 6 guests and then put our bags in the room to go out for a bite. When we returned the “owner”, gray haired man, started screaming at us, not talking, that there was no way in hell you can have 3 people to a room. Let me also note that the rooms have a king size bed and a twin bed. So I don’t know how you could stay there with a child because he’d have to get his own room which makes no sense at all! After this guy screamed at us for 30 minutes and My Mom even brought up the booking where it said 3 people too a room so we just left and went to a 100x mixer hotel. We would never give that prick our money. Worst hotel I have ever seen Andy Od forbid that’s the owner this place will never last! Thanks and please read this before staying here. It’s no time a 3 Star hotel it’s an absolute 0.

I booked a night's stay at the Kilkenny House Hotel as it was a good price compared to nearby hotels. I guess I should have known there would be a reason, it's not an awful hotel but it's not a great hotel either hence the 3/5 rating. If I was returning to Kilkenny I would try somewhere else next time. Ultimately I wouldn't recommend it but I wouldn't avoid at all costs.

Very practical location for itinerant trips and with pubs downstairs.

Disaster of a hotel. Honestly WORST establishment I've stayed in. Rooms are falling apart, cheap aldi breakfast, rude hotel staff. Truly hideous place.

Extremely comfortable place close to all amenities. Bright big comfortable rooms.

If you stay during the week the only thing the staff will be greatful for is when you pay and leave. Nice enough for what you pay but felt like they were asking to be a two star hotel.

A nice hotel with free parking spacious rooms well furnished and very clean, equipped with TV and a comfortable bathroom with shower.
Good breakfast
The only problem is that at night there is no one at the reception but you find a phone number to call to let you give the room.
Unfortunately in my case that night I do not know yet because I could not with any of the three phones used to contact the hotelier…
A tip? You arrive before dinner.

No complaints really. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Just 4 stars as there was no residents bar and no food available when got back that evening.

Basic guesthouse hotel. No frills. Bar very pleasant & quiet. Many locals pop in.

Nice clean neat establishment in a reasonably good location. Guy at reception needs a holiday.

Brendan was very helpful and pleasant at the front desk. The room was lovely and very clean. Unfortunately the chef needs to put a bit more passion and attention to the food before it comes out of the kitchen. Parts of the dinner was burnt and large chunks of raw onion in side salad was off putting. Mushy peas given with a starter but none with main course as should have been. Breakfast was not of great standard and staff more interested in eating there own breakfast behind counter than offering tea or coffee.

A hotel that does not open its bar or serve food until after 5 in the evening, an absolute joke.

Its is fine for somewhere to rest your head breakfast was nice and staff friendly main issue's we had a friend with our party that need wheel chair access there was none on site this guy had to be put into another hotel the other side of kilkenny there was no prior communication about this issue it did put a dampner on our weekend.

Always enjoy staying there. Lovely family owned business.

Clean hotel nice breakfast. Rooms abit dated not great for the money we spent staying there.

The rooms are tidy but not well aged. The beds are very good. We slept very well. The shower is ok. The breakfast is ok. You get everything you'll need for a good start in the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall: Don't expect too much. But the hotel is worth its price.

Fantastic hospitality friendly atmosphere. The owner is a gentlemen and couldn't do enough for us. Free secure parking. 3min outside city center. Quite and peaceful. Rooms big and spacious. Full irish breakfast each morning. Cant wait to return and would recommend to every friend ♥♥.

Ted the owner is great! Great breakfast, the pub next door is really nice and the rooms are good! Close to town and free parking for residence.
