Kilkenny County Hotels

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Midlands Park Hotel several times, and every visit has been excellent. The rooms are always spotless, comfortable, and well maintained.

Spent the night on Saturday for my big sisters wedding & not only was it such a fab night overall but from check in at reception to the following morning was excellent.

Amazing break away, very family friendly and the park attached is class! Attentive staff that went above & beyond to accommodate food allergies like gluten, corn, dairy and yeast.

Great hotel, very clean and luxurious. Considering it’s so family friendly it was always calm and chilled. Something for children of all ages. Good delicious in the bar restaurant.

I always enjoy visiting the Hoban Hotel. The outdoor seating area is perfect for lunch or a coffee, especially in this lovely weather.

Friendly staff, great food and service and a lovely atmosphere for our annual gardening club dinner. The Hoben staff expertly catered for 30 members of our club.

I cannot praise the Pembroke Hotel Kilkenny highly enough. My partner recently arranged a surprise birthday party for me here, and I am completely blown away by how amazing everything was.

We stayed here 1 night. A nice place to stay in Kilkenny. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We were in absolute love with this gem of a hotel. A perfect location. The room was gorgeous. Have nothing bad to say about it.

I visit Butler House a couple of times a week for a mere cup of coffee.

We stayed here for 4 nights during our time in Ireland and it is a very special place.

My daughter and I recently stayed at Avalon House Hotel and from the moment we walked through the door we felt so welcomed by Miriana. The Hotel is such a lovely place to stay.

Nice place for spending one night and having diner. The staff is young and charming. The price is fair. The room was correct.

Arrived late at night on the first stop of our campervan tour. Thomas behind the bar, made us feel very welcome. Delightful.

Really enjoyed our stay, staff very attentive and welcoming in bar/restaurant. Reception staff not so much. Quiet as it was a Sunday night.

We'd the nicest server last for dinner, and older guy that was so nice, the staff are very friendly. The rooms are quite and the heating is on all night. Had a great sleep.

Fanad House has friendly staff, a great location, and parking on site. You’re directly across from a Kilkenny Castle Park which is lovely to walk through to the castle and then into town.

Kilkenny it seemed was fully booked so we found Fanad House on the Irish Tourist Board website under guest houses.

Very pleasant stay. Fan over the bed kept us cool through the night. Location couldn't have been any better and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

The room was clean and looked exactly as advertised, The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and let us drop our bags off much before check-in time!

We had a great stay at JB’s. The room was lovely, everything we needed, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. Location was excellent, walking distance to all the great spots in Kilkenny town.

We had to book last minute for a health emergency even though we already had a room booked in Cork for the evening, and we were so pleasantly surprised. Comfortable, quiet, quality.

My stay at Carraig Rua was simply wonderful. Una and her husband are absolutely adorable hosts who made us smile feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived.

Vasso and I loved this place. Oonagh and Phillip are just excellent! A first-class guesthouse well located just outside the center city.

Tonight my husband and I had a fabulous meal in Langtons. Everything from staff, presentation to the food itself was perfect. We were also attending an event in the set theatre.

From the outside Langtons looks like a run of the mill pub, I remember that was my former impression and I thought what was my wife (then girlfriend) thinking of suggesting this as a wedding venue.

Great serviceLovely atmosphere.

Just home after a lovely break away at our go to Hotel what an amazing stay we had. The food was absolutely first class. The staff are so helpful. See you again soon.

So far the best place for a meal in Kilkenny and surroundings (and I tried a lot already), followed by La Rivista, Aroi, and Café 500.

Recently had a two night stay here celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, top marks all round, lovely hotel, exceptional staff from Louise on reception to Olya in the restaurant and Paul the

Beautiful old hotel with class and style. So comfortable and clean, quiet too. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and breakfast cooked to order. Friendly staff and a nice pint.

We stayed for 3 nights in the run up to Christmas and had a wonderful time. The room we stayed in was clean with plenty of space, and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

I had a fantastic meeting at the hotel prior to the event, followed by a beautiful dinner with all the staff and members. Everything was perfectly organized, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

We recently stayed in this beautiful hotel. The staff was amazing and the rooms were wonderful. We really enjoyed the restaurants and had a great time at the spa.

Room was good, only good. Bed was great. Bathroom also good. Coffee machine enjoyed that. But for the lights over sized for where they where.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on the 4th and 5th of January and could not have had a better experience.

Stayed 2 nights in this dormer bungalow with family for my birthday. Just outside Kilkenny center so a car is a good idea.

Lovely house, very close to the city centre as well. Just need to fix the fridge door hitting the kitchen door.

We recently stayed as a group of 26 in 4 of Mike’s cottages for a hen party. Mike was an excellent host who was very responsive and went above & beyond to help get everything sorted.

We stayed here with my daughters belguim team for the Ras na mban stunning location. Houses are clean and mike and family are very good at sorting anything should it go wrong.

Spent a night here after the Kilkenny 5km race. Highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful and welcoming 😊 the beds were cozy and the breakfast was 10/10. Thanks to staff Mario and Gerry.

Had a 1 night stay in Rafters for a hen party, there were 23 of us and I can't think of one negative thing to say.

I had a lovely stay with Sharon and Helen in Kilkenny.

Top class, stayed hereb3 times now and definetly will again. Such a lovely, helpfull and friendly landlady. Couldnt reccommend this place highly enough. 11 out of 10

We booked one night at Kilmore Guesthouse while we visited Kilkenny.
All details about the checkin process was handled via email with codes for the front door and another for our assigned room.

Stayed here for one night, in the ground floor family room. Can’t fault it at all. I wasn’t expecting it to be a one bed apartment. The decor is beautiful and it’s all very clean.
