Great spot … lovely food, brilliant athmsophere, great service from friendly staff especially Tracey who couldnt do enough for you and special thanks also to Conor and his brilliant Kilkenny way tour.

Very nice place. Amazing screen for sports. Cider not the best but that was consistentin Ireland.

Had a great night in kilkenny only complaint Id have was we had to check in at lannigans bar but the guest house was a 10 min walk away everything else was perfect.

The best bar I went to in Ireland. Massive television for watching World Cup games. Live music multiple times a week in the summer. Irish step dancers. DELICIOUS food (I got the cottage pie, it was excellent). Overall great atmosphere. Had a blast.

Poor standard of accommodation & could do with aircon as windows are very small for a 12 bed room. Pub could do with with a good clean and food took for ever to arrive out ie 1hr. Barman had a open cut on his hand and was serving drinks with blood dripping. Totally unacceptable! Also seen staff jumping out upstairs window to close them at night which was very dangerous! Poor class over all given they charged us 40 per night in a group of 10.

Went here for a hen. Played the Kube. Great craic and our host was friendly and good at his job.

Best boozer we've been in in years. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food brill and the band were fantastic.

Brilliant place to stay, they overbooked so they organised a B&B for us that was lovely. They threw in a free round of drinks & finger food as an apology which was a nice touch. Would definitely use them again.

Magnificent Art Deco gem filled with fond memories of the best of local and international talent.
Sad to learn Bosco’s cafe is gone; really enjoyed their enthusiasm, warmth, initiative and of course the fabulous food.

We went for lunch here during the day it was superb even at 3pm. Staff were friendly and efficient. We called back later for a few drinks the place was packed atmosphere was Brilliant band was excellent. My partner was drinking guiness and even when it was that busy he got a good pint…

Absolutely brilliant pub. Watched the 6 nations and think we were the only English in there. Good banter though. Had food which was served quickly and was lovely. Recommended for a nice drink and a bite to eat. 1st class staff too.

Great bar! That screen is amazing! Was here for a hen a few months ago, out was great craic!

Stayed in the hostel and was not impressed. There was only one other person staying in the room and neither have used the bathroom yet and there was hair in the shower and sink. Just did not feel clean. The staff was not around so there were no services nor help for us travelers passing through and looking for some information. Good location though and the lady Mary that checked us in was very nice but then we didn't see her again.

Grt to stay if u r looking for cheap accomodation. The bar is preety good, live music in the evenings and dance pub for rest of night.

Fantastic food, great surroundings and wonderful staff. Did the ghost tour from here too. Great guide. Great fun.

Bon avis en général, les dortoirs sont propres et la salle de bain également. Cependant, l'espace est restreint entre les lits. L'auberge ne dispose pas de cuisine pour faire à manger. La réception n'était pas présente le matin pour rendre les clés. Je recommande si vous n'avez que cet établissement de disponible sur Kilkenny!

When I come home to Kilkenny city first place I go is lanigans it's my second home love it.

Loved this place was in Kilkenny for a hen and the place was so good we spent both nights in here. Great bands both nights and a great dj on the Saturday night with a mix of old and new. Staff are great, great drinks selection and there was a good offer of 2 for 1 cocktails. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic spot. We were there last night (monday night) and the crack was mighty. Brilliant band and Ger Hayes and his Irish steps were out of this world. Defo will be back again.

Nice atmosphere. Good city centre location. Great menu. Mostly meat dishes but will cater to vegetarian, coeliac, gluten diets and more.

Goodness. Fun menu at the pub with the largest single TV screen in Ireland. 14'x9' ft (Monitors at sporting stadiums might be larger) Great local music, sports and local pub.

Food was phenomenal and the live music was great! They lost our order in the back so we went without food for 50 minutes, but the manager noticed and bought us all a round and the food was just that good. Would definitely recommend.

Ideal for a stag, and the rating is based on this suitability. I wouldn't recommend here for a relaxing getaway. The staff were amenable, conscientious and entertaining throughout. They even opened the bar early to watch the lions match at 9am. I'd recommend it for a stag/hen but be warned if you're here for something else.

Late afternoon lunch. The honey roasted loin of bacon has a succulent flavour complimented with mash and veg would satisfy any long day.

A fantastic panto production. Good mix for adults and kids. Booster seats for kids would be a great idea and also for the shop to sell a few sweets etc esp during kids shows.

Nice pub for good food! Was very quiet when we were there but that was on a cold Tuesday early evening, seems to have loads of events and things going on, with the fabulous location and ample space I can imagine this to be a great fun pub!

5 stars if your only objective in Kilkenny is to lose your sense of identity through alcohol and drugs (as was the case with our roomates), are happy with paying a 100 euro cash deposit and don't need to eat to metabolize (there's no kitchen or communal area so forget about preparing food). 1 star if you expected a hostel as conventionally defined by the rest of humanity.

Went for a drink after dinner and had a great time! Bartenders were friendly, music was terrific, and there was an Irish dancer who was wonderful. Highly recommended for any tourists.

Good for what it is. Clean room, food on arrival. Ideal location. Recommend for a stag/hen etc when crashing for a night or two. Most importantly close to the bar!

The Cider was very tasty and the live music very entertaining. It was always well attended and the operation went very quickly. Would come back again.

Average bar in town. Good fish and chips. Fair pricing. Got discount with paddywagon tours. Typical sports bar. For the short time we spent in Kilkenny I'd skip it next time.

We had lunch at Lanigan's Bar after touring the Dunmore Cave. Very good food and friendly service. Had plenty of TVs with EPL on all of them. Would go back and watch a game here if I was ever in Kilkenny again.

Go down to Kilkenny every August for a couple of days great pub fab food and great entertainment great staff very friendly and very helpful.

Hostel: WLAN works not in the Hostel, only Bar and Restaurant. Room: Ok Bath: Ok.

Went on 1st night in from usa. We loved it. Staff was really nice. Live music was good. We had a Guinness and dinner. I had Bangers and mash and girlfriend had fish and chips. Mmmmm.

Made an enquiry using their website. They didn't get back to me.

Great prices on drinks and very good food, live entertainment and friendly colorful locals a must if in Kilkenny. Make time for the ultimate hurling experience tour you will not forget it.
