LOVED this hotel! Parking was so easy, we were steps away from EVERYTHING! They kept the bar open for us late night, snacks as well. The best part was the super friendly staff! Justin at the bar was wonderful. The absolute BEST PART was Joe at the front desk! He helped us find great places to go and he is hysterical! We will be back!

We had a great stay in the Pembroke over the weekend. Staff were friendly, happy and did everything they could to make the stay great. Food is fantastic in Statham bar and restaurant. Would highly recommend staying here.

Pembroke Hotel Kilkenny was as good or better than reviews I had read before traveling! We stayed 3 nights in a King Suite which had plenty of room for us! Bed firm but comfy, we slept very good. We included breakfast in our stay and tried something new each morning! Really enjoyed the vitality shot and croissants served daily. Every single one of the staff we encountered were kind and professional. Lastly, the location is fantastic! I had no idea we were going to love strolling the streets as much as we did. We highly recommend Kilkenny to visit and Pembroke to stay!

rooms were lovely and check in was quick and 2 very friendly receptionist.
Tadhg at breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble.

We always enjoy our stay and the accessible executive rooms are perfect for wheelchair users. Breakfast delicious. Healthy vitality drinks were a bonus. Me and my daughter got top treatment. All receptionists were so lovely. My daughter had to leave Joe and co some chocolates. Highly recommended x.

Just home from a very comfortable and well run hotel short break. Lovely friendly and efficient reception staff. Attention to new social distancing excellent. Loved the no touch elevator operation. Super rooms where everything works and especially the well lit bathroom. Everything spotless. Ample free car parking for guests. Excellent location for all Kilkenny attractions. Wonderful breakfast. Just home from a stay at the Pembroke Kilkenny & I’ll definitely be going back. A lovely hotel right in the centre of town… the service was excellent in every regard from the reception to the bar staff & restaurant. A beautiful modern hotel with lovely rooms & a well stocked bathroom which is always a plus… I was also impressed with our welcome plate in our room for my birthday… a nice touch. Fabulous mini cakes & strawberries. I’ve stayed in numerous hotels before that were lacking but & I have to say I have no hesitation in giving the Pembroke 5 stars… well worth a visit.

A wonderful warm welcoming hotel with great food and facilities. We stayed there last weekend as part of my sisters hen party. Staff couldn't do enough for us especially Patrick who welcomed us on arrival with his wit and humour. He was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He told me he was only six months working there. Pembroke you have a Gem there! Will be back again.

My daughter and I stayed here in February 2019, and we absolutely loved it! Our room was amazing, the location is central to everything, our room was spacious, and most important was the friendly and helpful staff. Aisling went above and beyond to welcome us to Kilkenny! Pembroke was our first stop on a four city self driving trip, our first time to Ireland, and it could not have been a better start. We are longing to go back to the Pembroke!

I was shocked at the price of food here. Stir fry and chips €17.

As for the food, at breakfast I would give a voucher, instead the restaurant is scarce as offer and I was not thrilled by the quality of the steak that I expected much higher from the name of the Irish meat.
In the 4 stars I did not consider the negative note of the restaurant.

The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, quiet and spacious, beds are comfortable and the restaurant was just what we wanted. Did I mention the front desk staff? Awesome!

Had my 50th birthday in the function room downstairs last Saturday. Staff couldn't be more helpful. We had Trad music, singers and couple of bands over the course of the night, wine reception and food.

Of the best hotels on our route through Ireland. Good location We were able to leave the car in their parking lot which is a two minute walk.

Lovely staff and comfortable accommodations. We rode out ex-hurricane Ophelia there, and while every other place in town was closed, the entire hotel was ceaselessly trying to make sure their guests were happy and satisfied. Stellar!

Excellent hotel with very good staff. Bathrooms are relatively spacious. All extras including coffee, tea, etc. And soaps, shampoos, etc. Are top quality. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel has air conditioning in the rooms.

Had a 3 night stay at the Pembroke Kilkenny, I can't recommend it enough it's lovely comfortable stylish and clean accommodation, the staff and facilities were amazing and nothing is too much trouble, it is conveniently located for a stroll into Kilkenny! The staff was absolutely amazing and so accomadating. The airline lost my luggage and the staff made sure I didn't need anything. Even gave me direction where to find what they could not provide.

I came here when I visited Ireland and I must say, the people here are extremely kind. I was looking for a place to do my laundry and they sent it to a place and it came back neat and folded and by our door. Our rooms were extremely clean and the hospitality was amazing. Made some friends as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying in Kilkenny. It is within walking distance to many attractions.

There is nothing to fault at this hotel — parking is onsite (and free) the rooms are quite clean and spacious, plenty of amenities included in the room, beds are comfortable, staff was very friendly. You can’t ask for a more central location in in Kilkenny — the castle is maybe a 4-5 minute walk from the hotel, and it is located in the middle of many pubs and shops. If I really had to stretch to find a fault with my stay it would be that you can hear some of the road noise from inside the room — but not nearly enough to be overly distracting or keep you awake at night (and it certainly doesn’t compare to the road noise heard from hotels in some larger American cities — Manhattan, Chicago, etc. ) If I am ever in Kilkenny again, I would book this hotel for another stay without hesitation.

We celebrated my Mam’s 60th birthday here at the weekend. Can’t compliment the Pembroke enough on a truly brilliant night. Our meal in the restaurant was lovely, the venue downstairs for her surprise party was perfect for the occasion and the party nibbles went down well with everyone. It also has to be said that it was the staff that made the night so special. Every single member of staff we met went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. All the staff are fantastic at what they do — especially Aisling who looked after us so well on the night and Stacey who patiently dealt with us in the lead up to the night. Thank you all so much. We will definitely be recommending the Pembroke to friends and family.

I love this place. The staff and management and paul and john are all very nice. Friendly. And the food is delious. As im there quite often at lunch time on a thursday.

I liked the friendly staff and off street parking, the first room we were assigned had an odor but after we notified the staff they shifted us to a better room. Great location for walking the town.

Stayed here recently, hotel was in a great location and staff were very nice, was greeted by a lovely girl at reception.
Unfortunatly when we got to room,, as nice as the room was,, it appeared to be clean until I went into bathroom to find a filthy toilet seat covered n wat looked like make up and dried pee stains,, also the spare toilet roll had dried in pee stains on top of it,, I dont know how a cleaner had missed this! I should have went straight back down to reception,, but not wanting to cause a fuss I cleaned it myself.
On checking out next morning I said it to the nice girl on reception,, and she apologised,, not her fault,,, shes not the cleaner. Also told her that I had really liked the hotel but unfortunatly wouldn't come back because of this. A shame.

We stayed here for 1 night to catch the sights around Kilkenny. We received a warm Irish welcome at check-in and walked around town as our room was not quite ready. The hotel is situated right in the middle of everything, the castle is about a 5 min walk and medieval mile is just around the corner. Our room (111) was spacious and had a Nespresso machine, hair dryer, and everything you could need for a short stay. Great selection of hot and cold foods at breakfast (must try their homemade soda bread) to sustain us for our journey ahead.

What a wonderful stay! We were with a large travelling party and Pembroke was our first stop. Every room was different but all were equally charming. We stayed in 130. The view wasn't spectacular but it was quiet even on a weekend night. Lots of room for our luggage. The furnishings were gorgeous and the mattress and pillows were oh so comfy. The hotel was perfectly situated so you could walk to any number of local attractions. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. I'd never thought of putting Bailey's in my porridge but it's a favorite now, lol! Relaxing and charming stay!

It was a spur of the moment idea to visit Kilkenny (living in Brownstown Co Meath) and found this hotel on the internet… It's down to this hotel that my little weekend away was such the successful and relaxing break we needed❤️❤️ From the moment we arrived the 5⭐️ Service commenced and it didn't stop the whole time we were there… I could write a review that would take a month to read in detailing how fantastic this hotel is but quite frankly all I'm going to say is. …… 'if you're thinking of going to Killkenny plan your trip around this hotel, as your trip will be that little more special' To all the staff at the Pembroke I'd like to say a massive thank you and keep up the great work.

Everything about our time here was outstanding. Just as we arrived our car had a flat tire. The staff was unbelievable helping to deal with it. Then, the room was as good as you could ask for; modern, clean, comfortable beds, quiet, temperature control, and curtains that completely blocked outside lights. But without a doubt, the staff of the Pembroke is what made it so great. When I return to Kilkenny, that is where I will stay.

I can't write enough good things about this hotel. In this medieval city this hotel provides all the luxuries of the modern world. The staff is extremely corteous, the rooms are great and I had a room with the full view of the castle. They have a nice restaurant and free parking in the back. The location doesn't get more central with a 5 minute walk to great restaurants and all the attractions. Go here if you want to have a nice stay in Kilkenny.

Love this place. Spacious rooms, everything you need. Buffet breakfast was lovely, staff made sure we were well looked after. Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Can't wait to return.

Myself and my wife booked in today upon arrival staff so friendly. Our room was very spacious there was chocolate cake and a message welcoming us to the Pembroke. Very clean and central to the town.

The staff and hotel is second to none. The minute we arrived from the states we were treated like royalty. The staff made us feel welcome and like we were at home always. I really want to thank Lorraine and Daithi for making my fathers trip home again an extremely special one because we felt like family.

The rooms were basic at best but they charged high prices the wi fi only works in tthe lobby or bar not in the rooms. The bar has no life or athmosphere with food and drink at extorsonary prices.

Really great place to chill out and have a delicious coffee.
