Sits in a secluded area, very very quiet. The restaurant on site has very very good food! The only 2 things we didn’t like was there was only 1 hot tub, and it was very small. For a hotel that big, I expected a bigger tub or more then 1. The only other is the buffet in The mornings are VERY expensive. $21.99 per person. Other then those two, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. We miss it already!

I attended a work Christmas party here, and the gentleman at the carving station, I believe his name is Niam, was absolutely splendid. He was delightful and went above and beyond. Amazing!

I loved the service personnel. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. The Cafe was great for dinner and breakfast. The concierge lounge had breakfast, snacks in between and a lovely dinner and healthy snacks. Also an honor bar. The pool and gym are well maintained and open early. 6 A. M. Great for business days. Also a lovely Spa. Room was a king room. The best king sized bed ever. Clean bathroom with wonderful fluffy towels and top quality personal products. Wonderful absolutely wonderful The Valet Larry is a true asset to the Marriott property. The first person we met and the last person we said our goodbyes. He welcomed us to our stay and bid us farewell as we left. Guaranteeing a return stay for my family.

Went for a weekend getaway. Wasn't thrilled with restaurant menu or service. Room was standard fair. I'm a Platinum member so had use of the private breakfast area which was nice. Easy ride to mall and restaurants. May do again.

One of the gem Marriott I have stayed at. Friendly staff and surroundings are just amazing. Feels like a nice cozy place in middle of jungle. M club is also great. One recommendation to management is to provide water bottles in each room. I love to stay hydrated and every time I had to go downstairs to get water bottles.

Really nice hotel, very quiet and with many places to "hide" and relax. Rooms are good enough, not huge but not small either. Bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is spacious and comfortable. It would have been nice to be able to open the window in the room or have a small balcony. The hotel is quite isolated but they have a choffeur service that are incredibly nice and polite, and basically they take you wherever you want if they are free (which they usually are). Front desk staff are nice but they made a couple of mistakes in taking orders for room service and for pick-up from Princeton. Surroundings are astonishing, beautiful forests and places to run and enjoy.

5 stars if you are a tennis player, as they have an indoor tennis court next to the property, and the tennis academy located there is supposed to give 50% discounts on lessons to hotel guests! The room downstairs, with 2 queen-size beds, was a bit noisy, with the mattress being somewhat hard. But hotel staff was REALLY ACCOMMODATING, and when the room on the 3rd floor became available the next day, they gave it to me. That one was a pleasure to stay at! King-size bed was more comfortable, shower was more modern, the room had much quieter AC, and had a great view onto the wooded area.

Beautiful brick building situated in a nice and green lot. Clean and great services. Amenities and supplies have a neat and newer look. Food was good. I wish there was more variety but it’s fine for a business breakfast and lunch. Overall, it’s a good place to stay while visiting Princeton.

Great conference space with great rooms. The decor is very nice. Love the exposed brick and wood support beams. The outdoor patio was nice to drink at. The bar had a good selection on tap. I want to go to the pool next time! The rooms were very clean with great beds. The conference rooms were large with AMAZING food. The only downside was the confusing smaller conference rooms so I went in 3 circles before finding the room I was looking for.

I'm here for a conference. The conference facilities are excellent. The bar was fairly Lively at night. The beds were comfortable but the room is extremely hot because the air conditioner didn't work. Also the parking is a bit far from the entrance to the hotel.

An old style brick wall property. The hotel has a classic charm to it and the layout is spacious and refreshing. Rooms while old style are well equipped and nicely maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Very nice facility. Rooms are well kept. Pool area is very nice. Water and pool deck was warm. Restaurant was food was very good but service was slow. I am not certain it was because of weekend or just the norm. Outside ground looked nice but not kept up.

This is a nice place to stay away from crowd plus all easily accessible from main root.

Passing through to visit a friend who was in town for a conference. Definitely a nice ski lodge feel and a great place to have a quiet and classy night out with friends. You will forget you are in NJ and think you are in Aspen, CO. Highly recommended!

Love this place! They've changed the bar area where you could play pool, table boiche ball, and darts. Not sure if their putting it back or improving the space. Love their coziness even though it's a decent size place. Their attention to your needs and request are exceptional for a conference or meeting. As a weekend getaway, you'll love the walking trails, tennis, spa, pool, hot tub, fitness center and restaurant.

I was full of expectations when I booked the night, but met with disappointments for my stay. The hotel was outdated and needed a deep cleaning. Walking in the hallway made you felt like in a cheap motel with bleach smell and dirty carpet. But I did like the staff, they were polite, nice and willing to resolve your issues. My package included the free breakfast and it was ok with omelet station. The morning breakfast was a little bit chaotic with some tables were reserved for the varsity team and we had to seat myself and merged the tables. But once you settled down, the staff were nice and attentive. The night was not peaceful because even at 1:42 pm you could still hear kids running in the hallway and guests slamming the doors. I had trouble to find a light switch to turn off the light near the entrance door. After I complained via the chat in the app, the hotel offered me late check out at 3 pm next day so I could compensate my sleep. The best thing for my stay was the shower and I enjoyed it. My stay included the in-and-out valet parking and it was great too.

Great stay. Used the pool and the gym and both were clean and we'll maintained. Rooms were clean as well. Staff was friendly. But go some place else for breakfast. The restaurant on site was aweful. Bad service and food was not great.

By far greater then the westin. Clean kitchen and wonderful staff. The rooms are nothing to get excited about but it gets the job done. Cleanliness is in my book.

I have been here several times over past 15+ years, including when it opened under different name, primarily for business conferences. I think it is time for a refresh. It is starting to feel a bit dated. The food is still good but staff not as attentive to details as they once were.

Location is easily accessible from any direction. I was there for a conference. The food was fantastic; biscotti for afternoon break with coffee was a great treat! The meeting rooms were acceptable, although a few were tight for space. Overall, this venue was perfect for a conference.

We went for a QUICK dinner at the pub. Once again we were not greeted by a hostess. Waited several minutes, all the tables were reserved or dirty, looked around, still no one greeted us. Finally we had to ask the bartender for a table and he cleaned one for us. Then we waited several minutes for service. Once we received service everyone was very polite and professional, but then I had to wait for a long time for a check. My quick dinner ended up taking an hour and 40 minutes. We have a very early start and are trying to go to bed early. Constantly being awaken by house keeping knocking on doors, people walking and talking loudly in the hall, and the walls shake when the rooms next to us slam their doors. Right now I would never stay here again and one of the worst Marriott experiences I have ever had.

Room was nice, clean. Bed comfortable and nice bathroom. Service was great, everyone was polite, courteous and kind. Food from the bar was good, food from the actual restaurant was decent. Shuttle service is included to go into town was great.

I was here for a wedding. The space and food were both great but I thought it was weird the servers never once came around to fill up our water. Also dessert was placed as one plate in the middle of each table so I didnt get anything! Not sure if that is the venue or the choice. Beautiful space for a wedding though.

First time at this former Scandinavian architectural master piece owned/managed by Marriott… a true pleasant unexpected surprise. The whole experience was a Big5, the staff friendliness and willingness to provide support, the room, the maid, the pool, the gym, the surrounding forest embracing the building with a halo of peace.!

Princeton Marriott at Forrestal is my favorite Mariott hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly and polite. However, the Wi-Fi service in the rooms need to be improved.

Love the spa service. Probably would only return only because of that.

It is absolutely lovely and welcoming. Beautiful, quiet surroundings, quiet, peaceful, nicely decorated, warm and calming. Wonderful, delightful staff, a true pleasure to chat with them. I want to go back!

Decent hotel but every time I stayed I had problems. Internet not working, no running water, no hot water, evacuations at 4am… The list just goes on. It is a bit outdated and it's showing signs. The bar is great and the manager is amazing. Hopefully the renovations will fix some of the issues.

This hotel is situated in a way where your cell phone service is virtually non existent. Wi-Fi is not free but will cost you $13 — $15 per day depending on what speed you choose. Breakfast is not free but somewhat pricey starting at $9 for pastries and coffee. The lighting in the rooms are dreary and depressing. Depending on where your room is if you're on the second or third floor, you could end up dragging your luggage a quarter of a mile once you get off of the elevators. Wheew!

An older building but one of the better Marriott properties I've been to in a while. Staff went above and beyond to give good customer service. Concierge lounge had more options than most, and they leave food available all night until closing rather than taking it in around 7:30 like most places. Gym was fairly spacious but equipment filled up quickly one of two mornings. The service in the restaurant was slower than I'd expect, but not a huge deal. Got a couple apologies from staff for delay. I'd absolutely stay here over the Renaissance property near the airport.

This Marriott had everything we needed for a girl's weekend. A wonderful SPA, indoor pool and whirlpool, a Concierge Lounge that was open on weekends and also some fabulous running trails.

Great service, large rooms, went above and beyond my expectations. The breakfast guys even knew my name and what drink I wanted by the 3rd day. Only issue is both bar, restaurant and breakfast bar I expected better food. So if better food would be 5 Star.

13/13/14 The Best Day of my life to date. Princeton Marriott and their staff made it so. Our wedding was amazing, great food, amazing service, everything was as discussed. They were great and I highly recommend them for any large party!

Great hotel. Check in friendly and efficient. Nice touches like candy bar at check in. Room were big. Very clean. Wifi was working very well though.

Way too expensive for what I received, I even had Princeton U. Discount. Most hotels offer free juice, coffee, fruit in the lobby this hotel — — nothing. Even the stupid cup of joe would cost you 3 bucks. The gym equipment was broken and pool closes way early 11AM, I travel 24/7 and wanted to use the pool. On top of it all, one had to pay for internet, crummy single bottle of water in an old beat up fridge.

Beautiful resort in woodland setting but convenient to Princeton and Rutgers. Very nice health club and walking trails. Bikes are gratis. Good food in concierge room complimentary for Rewards guests. Free parking. Very relaxing hotel. What's not to like.

We did our sister wedding here in the ball room. Great location, and staff was friendly and courteous. pricing for the entire wedding package was reasonable.

One of the nicest location and property offered by the Marriott brand. Great hotel layout and the ambience feels like a resort in middle of a forest. Hotel is also close to restaurants, malls and princeton downtown. Great experience.
