HHIE hotels are generally nice and this one is no less than nice. It is set back away from the busy RTE 1, yet easily accessible. The property outside and in are well maintained. A guest, in good weather, can enjoy the grounds or sit on the large patio. The main areas of the hotel are spacious, and offer plenty of natural lighting. This HHIE also has a partnership with the adjacent Mariott hotel, which offers a restaurant, a bar, pool, racquetball courts, and a fantastic fitness room. The rooms are okay. My main complaint is that they can become very stuffy because guests are unable to open windows. The heating/cooling system also makes it difficult to regulate a comfortable temperature. The bathroom is very clean but has a big issue with the design of the walk-in shower: it can flood the bathroom as water escapes from the floor of the shower right into the bathroom. The bathroom could also use hooks to hang towels and space to put toiletry items. Other than those issues the beds are comfortable and the room offers adequate space as well as a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The breakfast area is very spacious. It lacks however, larger tables for big groups. The selection of breakfast items is also nice, though I would be pleased if they offered a greater variety of fruit and cereals. The hotel staff if also friendly. The one odd occurrence is that upon check-out the desk was deserted for about 10 minutes and other guests were also waiting.

Very clean, nice, modern facility. Breakfast was great — especially the biscuits and gravy! Our AC unit wasn't working when we arrived, but maintenance arrived 10 minutes later and had our whole unit replaced with a working one in less than an hour. We were really impressed with the staff during our stay.

Since the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk is in the same building complex, which provides diabetes therapies, you should be fine. The hotel rooms are huge and the staff is very polite.

Rooms nice, excellent TV channels, friendly staff, breakfast (eggs especially) needs help, elevator very creaky, connected to Crowne Plaza with good food and drinks.

Nice hotel. Spent 2 night there on a buisness trip. Hotel is clean even if some area look little dated. It's one of my go to hotel when I'm in the area. Free breakfast and Wi-Fi.

Rooms are clean and the area is quiet. Everything is pretty much up to date.

Great location. Room was clean and well updated. Wi-Fi was great and super fast. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was courteous and professional. My only complaint would be the lack of "convenience" products to purchase such as bottled water and snacks.

I was only here for 2 days and a night, but the experience was quite good, the staff were responsive. The breakfast was ok, but free. They were also connected to another hotel with a gym, pool, and hot tub. I didn't go to these but it was nice having the option.

Connected to the crown plaza hotel right next door. Pool, gym, locker room, indoor entertainment are available to guests. Outdoor hiking trails are available.

Worth the value. Connects to the conference center and also connects to Novo Nordisk if someone works there. Equal access to Crowne gym. Essentially the same aetip as Crowne with slightly less fancy furniture. Haven't tried their breakfast. Would stay again.

The rooms are far superior to a typical Holiday Inn Express. Beautiful setting as well. You feel like you're tucked away somewhere exclusive.

Good and very peaceful place. They have a small lake and a pool on the property. Staff is helpful and they run a 5 mile shuttle service for guests but you have to book it in much advance.

Stayed two nights. Friendly Front Desk staff. Breakfast was a little bland and there weren't many options, but I guess that's normal for a free continental breakfast. It was great to have access to the hotel next door since they offer more amenities.

If you are looking for a quality, inexpensive hotel, and some peace and quiet this is the perfect place to go. My room was very spacious and the hotel was very quiet. They offer breakfast in the morning which is your standard hotel breakfast. They offer cookies at the entrance and check in/check out was quick and simple. Parking is included for guests. Overall, my stay here was well worth the cost. My room was clean and it was a peaceful and pleasant experience.

Stayed here last minute. Very accommodating for last minute reservation. Bathroom in the room we stayed in needed "help" (paint, caulking, and a little tile work). The wall paper was horrid. TV signal was out most of the night. Was told the next morning, "We always lose the signal when it rains. "

Good for the price. Room was clean and well-kept. Front desk was responsive to issues my group had with the Wi-Fi and had everything quickly resolved.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. My room was run down, dingy, and dirty. The toilet paper holder was broken, there was multiple hairs in the bed, and the sheets weren't changed the next day. We were so uncomfortable. We didn't even stay the second night. We chose to loose money and not stay another night, even though we already paid for it. We booked another hotel and it was a million times better. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't know why the other reviews are so good. Don't listen to them. Stay somewhere else.

My experience at this Holiday Inn was wonderful. For starters, the building was well-designed, and spacious. The rooms were large, well-furnished, and had comfortable beds with immaculate linen. The television service wasn't that great though. Every channel was fuzzy, and appeared as if they were using an old antenna, digital service would have been more enjoyable. Another minor annoyance was that there were not enough power outlets close to the bed, which meant that of the two of us in a double room, only one of us could keep our phone bearby and leave it charging overnight. Though there were two outlets on the dividing nightstand, the alarm clock consumed one of them. Alarm clocks that have a built-in power outlet would address this. Lastly, the free breakfast, was amazing, with a large variety to choose from.

Gave us a king when we needed a double queen room, took care of the issue by moving us next door to the Crowne Plaza and free breakfast.

One of the best HIEs I've stayed in. Better breakfast than usual and it includes chocolate milk too. Friendly staff, nice rooms, ample parking, good location.

5 minutes from Princeton campus. Which was our interest. Hotel was very good price. And surprisingly empty. (? ) Rooms were typical. And clean and new feeling. They had a decent breakfast, although the tables all had been wiped down with a dirty rag and left a nasty film on the tables. (minor issue. ) Overall, the hotel was clean and very nice staff. I thought it was very good value for the $$. I think the rate was same as the Crown Plaza next door. But had a free breakfast, and I don't believe the CP has free bkfst. Coffee was decent.

Great front desk staff and (as the other reviewer noted) a really lovely location. Impressed all the way around — esp for the price.

This Holiday Inn Express is same as all the others but different in one big way: It's located a short distance off Highway 1 and is part of a larger conference center, sharing meeting facilities with a Crowne Plaza hotel. The setting is Beautiful. Trees, birds, ponds, and deer walking through the woods. The zig-zag layout means that every room has a great view of the outdoors and it's VERY quiet. It was such a wonderful retreat away from the New Jersey traffic. Otherwise, it's like a Holiday Inn Express. Clean, nice, not luxurious, but very reasonably priced. (They apparently share the fitness room with the Crowne Plaza. It was really nice. ) It's well worth going a couple miles down Scudder's Mill Road to get away from the highway. We will stay there again the next time we're in NJ. A couple of notes: The GPS will take you to the Crowne Plaza. Your entrance is closer to Highway 1, look for the signs. Also, if you want more than the house breakfast and have some time, there is a cute little town called Cranbury just a few miles farther down Scudder's Mill. Ask for directions.
