After ramp up travels post covid, I was not ready for the overall deterioration of the Hilton brand. This particular location made me feel like I was checking into the slums. Shower was monthly and room and furniture was just sticky and gross. Maybe from all the Lysol but regardless, uncomfortable. The entire property was just unkept and all amenities closed with no other options or offering from a hospitality standpoint. Elevators and laundry room were humid and dirty. There is nothing walking distance and the concierge (if you would even use that term) just replied “I don’t know”. I was also told in the morning that the coffee machine was broken. As a diamond guest I booked all stays through the app for ease and I would expect the app and website to be updated with the lack of amenities and services. No shuttles. No pool. Limited restaurant hours and items buts it’s a ghost town so afraid anything ordered is not fresh. Told they no longer have a lounge or serve any alcohol. I shortened my stay immediately and checked into another brand.

No eating on site. Not helpful with offering places in the area to order or outside dining options no personality from desk and no refrigerator in room.

The bartender was great and the drinks hreat.

This is a really nice hotel. No complaints. Nice and friendly staff, very clean, quiet. I was impressed with the breakfast. The food is really good and not too expensive.

Marie from the dining room was wonderful. Kind, helpful, patient, and funny. She was very accommodating to my request. Took time to explain things. Was just above and beyond what normal employees do. Kevin at the front desk was great too. Very helpful also and accommodating. Great personality and attitude from both of them. The hotel should be proud to have the 2 of them representing the chain.

Great stay! Attended a wedding at the hotel. Only negative was I had to remind them to make up my room. No big deal. Everything else was great.

Service is great. Rooms are clean! They are attentive and if traveling with a family there best feature is the washer and dryer. We seem to use/need it every time!

I can’t even imagine why anyone would give this hotel a bad review. My husband and myself and our 2 yr old stayed the weekend. About 25 mins from Sesame place, 1 hr from Philly. We ate dinner there the first night and the food was delicious. The complimentary breakfast was better than any I have ever been to in NY. Hotel staff was super attentive and friendly — gave us cookies upon our welcome and made sure to tell us they had nuts — Incase anyone had an allergy. We didn’t, but I appreciate that. Rooms were nice, I like that they had a little bar that you could rotate and it would stop the door from opening, so no one could get into your room — even if they somehow managed to get a key. We had a really great stay. The pool looked nice too although we didn’t get a chance to go in because they were cleaning at that time. I would stay again and next time we go to sesame place we will stay there.

Nice clean rooms. Excellent friendly staff. Love the cookie. Only issue which didn't bother me but would definitely bother some. I was gone from early am till 5pm and cleaning staff was just getting to my room.

Upon check-in, I reviewed a sheet listing names of persons in our group of 20. There was a mixup with the rooms. Some names were pencil lined-out or checked off. I asked if those had arrived & was told no, that didn't mean they did; didn't know? When I called those people, they had in fact, checked in & were in the rooms. Next day, we'd been out for entire day & returned late after midnight. Returning to our room, we found all bedding removed (not replaced) & bare pillows on floor. The ceiling was dropping plaster or popcorn ceiling debris on the floor near the entry. None of this was like that when we left that morning. Room was changed, no explanation.

This was a really nice hotel. It had many great activities to do and was really fun. You and your family will love this place and the rooms are amazing. The staff is nice and the breakfast buffet was great. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone. Great place to stay if you are on vacation to take your day off and still have a lot of fun.

Pretty standard hotel for business travel. Conference facilities were nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Soundproofing was a bit lacking for being so close to the highway. The restaurant food was good and bartender was friendly. All in all, it was a positive experience.

Love this place. Great staff, nice clean rooms, and excellent location. Close to train station too. Very nice breakfast as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice clean hotel, but its the staff that give this hotel it's best quality. The care each employee takes to ensure their guests have the smoothest stress-free stay as possible is unequaled at other lower to mid range chain hotels. They all should get raises or better tipping guidelines for consumers who are unaware that tipping doesn't only have to apply to waiters and bartenders. I would have given 5 stars but the prices for food/ sundries/ etc set by Double Tree are ridiculously high.

Staff was extremely nice from the beginning. The warm cookies are a nice touch. Room is nice.

For the price of the rooms and the additional costs of breakfast it was just okay. There was an additional cost for breakfast and it was just a standard continental nothing was made to order. But some good things were that the bar stayed open until 11pm and it was just a few miles from a lot of nice restaurants and nice mall. As well as only a couple miles from Princeton University.

I was only on the outside of the hotel, it's appearance is beautiful. The location was very easy to find and navigate your way around the building.

The lobby looked nice and had a clean modern vibe. Yet, the rooms and higher up in the hotel did not have the same decor or vibe. This does not mean the rooms were bad in any way. The rooms were clean and looked well kept after, but the bathroom was a little on the small side. The entrance to the hotel is a little annoying coming from one direction of the road as you have to make a couple of left hand turns to get onto the property, nothing they can fix but just be aware if you are in a hurry or anything. One star was taken away becuase there was a party one night we were staying there, (someone was renting the downstairs lobby) and even though we were on the fourth floor we could hear the music beat and words very loudly.

Clean and sharp rooms. Warm cookies when you check in! But why does the lobby only have cold hot chocolate?

Good rooms, great housekeeping, Mostly friendly front office, good restaurant/food. Decent rates. A very good option in the area. I recommend it any day over the Crowne Plaza in the vicinity.

The service was fine. They attended well and answered my questions pleasantly.

Hotel was remodeled so beautifully. The flow of it was easy to navigate through. Pool was nice and warm. The gym was a bonus. And complementary breakfast was delicious. Such a kids friendly place. And their famous warm chocolate chip cookies are to die for. Alejandra was amazing and super friendly. She made our stay much more memorable. All staff were really friendly, And made us feel welcomed. Anette is amazing at making all guest feel at home greeting everyone with a smile. Will recommend this hotel to everyone. If you do decide to use this hotel please Enjoy your stay!

Good service in the morning for breakfast. However, at around 10 o'clock at night, I found out the fan wasn't working, and the room was too hot for me to sleep. An attendant came up and told me there was nothing she could do. I asked if there was another room for, but she told me that the fan wasn't working in another room, which I doubt. Had trouble sleeping. Would be a 2 star but the cookie is another star.

Rooms were not ready at our selected check-in time. Key on phone feature did not function properly. Access to the lounge on 6th floor limited. Not enough towels at the pool. The complimentary breakfast was good. Parking was an issue.

Rooms were nice and you were able to adjust the temperature in the room without to much trouble. The person at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. It was nice that they call the room to make sure everything was fine.

The room was very good. Dated but clean. Housekeeping was truly stellar. The breakfast we got as executive members was very disappointing. The food was largely tasteless bordering on stale. Eggs were cold two days The dishes were routinely not clean. We had a cup on our table with brown stains around the rim. We saw plates and forks with food stains. The hotel did give us a complimentary cheese and fruit platter after we complained.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and the staff is really nice. We booked their banquet hall twice for the wedding. It was an amazing experience.

Excellent service. Very helpful staff style front. Super clean rooms. Surprised us with some goodies in our room for our anniversary. Our first time staying here and will be back for sure.

Decent. Great breakfast buffet. Friendly front desk staff. Can't beat the cookies. Properly needs some improvement. It feels a little run down. Hallways are old, and the rooms could use some new decor, bathroom needs to be updated. Wonderful beds as always though. So-so property, but not terrible by any means.

Very hospitable and clean. Rooms were very nice. Our room did not come with a fridge though and breakfast was $15 more everyday which was unfortunate. Other than that excellent.

Rooms were clean, service was friendly. 6th floor breakfast is nothing special. Breakfast buffet (1st floor, costs $17/person) is amazing! Been here a couple times, would come again.

I found it to be a nice hotel. The eating area was large and breakfast was tasty. The elevators were spread apart weird but they were functional.

Both the staff and the room were exactly as expected from what was advertised for the property. The staff however always continues to exceed my expectations. Very friendly people — even the night staff. Breakfast was also great. I would stay here again location permiting.

Worn down and dated building. Typical fitness center, built in bar/restaurant, and pool. Ample parking, and easy on/off to route 1. No fridge in room; frustrating because my stay was 2 weeks. After requesting a refrigerator twice during my stay, one was not provided. First response was "when a room with one opens, we'll get it to you. " Second response "when can we drop it off? " I gave them a time, and it was not delivered. Working nights here is rough because the curtains are horrible with keeping sunlight out. Rooms are nice and updated. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch. However, overall, not what I expected from a hotel with the Hilton name; general lack of customer service was disappointing.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was attentive, the room was very clean and the cookies are amazing! I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel facilities are ok. Not the best. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Concierge lounge is good. Serves breakfast and light food in evening but closes at 8pm. 3 stars for facilities but gets 4 stars because the staff is friendly and it is a very family friendly hotel.

Front desk staff courteous and helpful! Had some issues with our room : very musty smell and shower drain being seriously clogged, but they readily moved us to better and nicer digs. Enjoyed the Tuesday Manager's Reception in the Executive lounge; nice way to start our stay with complimentary wine/beer and appetizers. Hotel offers complimentary shuttle service in the morning and evenings. We were able to use the shuttle to and fro to try one of the local restaurants for dinner.

I never write reviews even for good or bad places. But because this place was exceptionally good I had to write something. The service was excellent nice and fast. The establishment was exceptionally clean! I work in the former world headquarters of Jehovah's witnesses as building services. I do a lot of cleaning and our standards are extremely high in terms of cleanliness. The thinnest dirt on the ground I will notice. When I went into the room it was spotless. I was searching for dirt and could not find any. Excellent job double tree. Also the complimentary breakfast was excellent. A good wide choice of foods. The server Mr. Shahid was very accommodating and extremely generous. It made me look forward to breakfast every morning just because he and his crew was so kind and accommodating. Thank you for the good service and keep up the good work.

Staff was Awesome! Amazing nights sleep, pillows and bed Great Comfort! The best Event Staff serving food and managing the room. Can't wait to go back.

The place was under construction. The conference I attended was literally next to the hammering and construction. I blame the organizers for not asking to be mover to another hall.
The hotel itself was ok with clean rooms and free full breakfast.
The general manager was very gracious. When I pointed out to him that I was only charged for one lunch and I should have been charged for two he smiled and said that I had just paid for it with my honesty. Now that is customer service.

As expected the Doubletree was fantastic. Clean room, good food, warm atmosphere. Continue the great service amd I will keep staying.

Convenient location and comfy rooms. Beds and covers are especially nice, although that is almost a given at Hilton chain hotels. Great staff, especially the very nice lady usually in the exec lounge and also the front desk staff. I left a suitcase at the hotel by mistake and they shipped it back to me without delay when I called. I will certainly be back when travelling on business in the area. Thanks!

LEAKING PEE from the Ceiling. Very disgusting stay and extremely unprofessional service. The only thing they do is giving us a breakfast voucher when we check out at 10:45am, which is gonna expire in 15 minutes. Shame on hilton!

It was an average experience. The Hotel is conveniently located, however everything is rather old, and they could use some renovation in the rooms and in the restaurant area. The breakfast was edible, but they definitely had the cheapest stuff possible. Breakfast sausage was just all fat. The room was clean. The linins could be smoother. Staff was friendly.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The prices are resonable, the rooms are clean, and the restaurant/bar has a good selection. I recommend staying on the executive floor to get access to the executive lounge for free breakfast as well as dinner/snacks and discounted drinks.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with my family and it certainly did not compare to our stay at the Mahwah location a few weeks ago. We booked a room with a king size bed and sofa bed that connected to a room with two double beds. Upon booking I asked the associate to confirm the size of the sofa bed and she confirmed it was not a twin size bed but very similar in size to the double bed accommodations. Wrong. This was a child size bed (not even a twin) that pulled out of a love seat and when we opened it there were small hairs on it, maybe pet hair?, regardless — GROSS. We then discovered that there was no refrigerator, although there is space beneath the TV console for one. I called the front desk to ask if there was a way to request one and she said there was but at a $10 fee. Now by no means am I opposed to paying for something, but a refrigerator is a necessity for an overnight stay with a family that has children — hello water, liquid cold medicine etc. When the refrigerator arrived the gentleman didn't even greet us hello. He just walked in checked where he would place the refrigerator and then went back out, retrieved it and then set it up. We said thank you to get some kind of response out of him and we got nothing — silence. After the refrigerator was brought in we went down to the pool. The temperature in the pool area was 58 degrees! Now the water was warm, but its not so pleasant to swim and then exit the pool to such cold temperatures.

Where do I begin? First of all let me just say I travel extensively and I am very shocked by how horrible my stay was here at this DoubleTree. First things first — the bed linen was completely filled with little hairs… including the pillows. Then, while sitting there deciding what to do, I spotted a group of ants on the bedroom floor. Completely grossed out, I called the front desk and was moved to a different room on the 6th floor. (Side note: I am not a cheap person by any means, but after telling the manager what had happened, I thought my room might be comped, or discounted at the very least… all I got was a free breakfast. ) There were other minor things I did not like about the rooms/this hotel in general, but I think what I mentioned above speaks for itself. For all I know some rooms here probably have bed bugs. I will never stay here again. I've stayed at the Hampton Inn down the road before, and it was way nicer/cleaner, and the room was much larger.

Cons: I came down with a few buddies/coworkers of mine for a work event. We were very displeased with what the hotel had to offer. During my initial phone call to book our room they refused to price me out at our group rate. I had to argue on the phone with the gentleman for a good 5 minutes before we finally had the rate lowered. When we arrived at the room we noticed initially that it was very narrow compared to other hotels at similar rates. Having 4 people in the room was very difficult to maneuver. There was no refrigerator in the room which was very frustrating and became a big inconvenience for us. When my buddy went to plug his phone into the wall the outlet exploded. We notified the hotel staff and they moved us to an identical room. The following morning we awoke early to have breakfast before heading back to work. The hotel, not even being a 3rd party restaurant wanted to charge us $16 a piece of have breakfast there. We left unsatisfied. Pros: The beds were very comfortable. There was hot water for 4 back to back showers. The staff was courteous for the most part. Verdict: Would not come here again by choice.

The restaurant in this hotel is called the Ridgeway. It is outdated, smells like mold, and the food is disgusting. Also, the service is terrible. This hotel should be ranked as a 2 star hotel… not 3.5. If u pay more than 80 bucks a night, you are getting ripped off.

Easy to find with plenty of parking available. Person at the front desk was very helpful. Room was nice and clean.

Was there for a Hindu wedding and everything went beautifully. Great food, there were lots of attendents helping out. Lots of parking. Very close to a bunch of shopping and restaurants.

Great hotel, great staff and high value for the price.

During my last stay here I was put in a "Hilton Honors" room… not sure what was so honorable about it because there was no fridge, the bathroom was EXTREMELY small, and so was the entire room. Honestly the Hampton down the street is way nicer, in my opinion.

I booked a room package that included a room on the concierge level with access to the lounge. When I checked in, I was told that they were fully booked and the only room left was on the 2nd floor. Why give me the option to book a room on the concierge level?!? It was only when I complained that they upgraded me to a suite and still allowed me access to the lounge. However, when I got to my room, it smelled liked smoke. I was told it was a non-smoking floor, but it was so bad that I asked for a new room. Aside from the ordeal I had at check-in, the hotel was ok. Staff was nice, rooms were clean and modern. I liked that there were plenty of electrical plugs available. Location is also good with the university nearby and plenty of places to eat and shop within a few miles.

Location is easy to get to and the staff is extremely helpful. Definitely the type of place I'd recommend.

Actually very good food for a hotel.

This is not a typically nice doubletree, I travel extensively and was very displeased with the poor linen quality, room cleanliness, stale air and musty halls, outdated furnishings, and overall "worn" appearance. Rooms were not cleaned well. Hair in bedding, shower and folded towels. The desk had not been wiped from the last guest. Grease marks on the headboard missed as well. parking is plentiful. However entrances, except the front, are difficult to manage with luggage. staff was pleasant. Manager not so much. Stayed here twice, mandated by work, both experiences sub par and def will not return. Very disappointed as I love the doubletree cookies. Btw, they were out of stock on those as well.

Arrived with a tour group. Day 5 of our honeymoon. The entire tour group received "double room" rooms — — we requested a "king room", for obvious reasons. The front desk called the manager to ask the manager (I asked extremely politely). The answer was no, we "can't do that". While making our way to the room, we decided to go and ask again if we could get a "king room" by paying extra money (we were willing to pay up to $30 extra). The answer was "we don't have enough king rooms". I just checked expedia and their own website for tonight — — lots of king rooms available. Staff wasn't friendly. Not willing to work with us because we are a tour group. I've had MUCH friendlier staff (and managers! ) at 1 and 2 star hotels. I wouldn't stay here. The rooms seem to be okay. But you don't want to even try changing anything.

Fairly nice hotel, rates OK. Staff v. Friendly helpful. Only negatives were that they seemed to "nickle and dime" you with a lot of annoying small charges, like room internet service and rent for a room refrigerator! Irritating enough probably won't stay there again.

First room smelled of smoking. We went down and got it changed. They should have caught it before giving it to us as they told us that it was a smoke-free room. The second room had a nice smell. My review is for the second room. Pluses: 1) I liked the pool which I had to myself in the morning. 2) They give nice cookies Minuses: 1) The room is rather dark. The bed reading lamps are only for one side of the bed. 2) The cleaning was a bit subpar — — saw some junk in the area next to bed when making sure I didn't leave anything. 3) No fan in the bathroom My wife would prefer another hotel the next time. I'm on the fence as I liked the pool and the price was better than the alternatives with a pool (when I booked on hotwire).

Walked into my room to a floor full of unusual stains near the computer desk and a dirty towel laying on my nightstand. First turn off. Slept great the bed was super comfy! Woke the next morning to go to their breakfast which is $14 for a sub par breakfast at best. Went to work and came back to my cell phone charger missing, the empty water bottle I had the night before under the bed skirt (found it while crawling around looking for my charger) along with other interesting items under the bed to say the least. Contact the supervisor on shift and he checked in the "lost and found" I didnt lose it I had it when I left in the morning sitting on the nightstand and now its not there. So I was to have head of housekeeping call me today to which no luck. But I did however find dried blood on my comforter which wasnt there this morning since I am now taking pictures of everything before I leave this place. Stay far far far away from this place if you can! There are other great hotels in the same area! I travel 250+ days a year for work and this is the first time I was ready to sleep in my car.

Stayed here for 10 days and service os very good. Had a couple of minor issues and they were promotly resolved by staff. Breakfast is very good and there is an array of healthy and not so healthy choices. There is something for everyone. Overall will be back.
