It was great! The staff was outgoing, the rooms were super spacious, and had a cute little pool. Parking was rough, but they offered plenty of assistance with that.

I love it there, I'm in a king size bedroom with a stove, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher also has a fold out bed and 2 tvs. The people are very polite and hospitality. They even have security and state troopers in there too.

Jalisa the manager is awesome real friendly go beyond her Call of Duty to make sure her guess feel like they're at home I recommend this hotel to anyone that comes to New Orleans to stay but overall all the staff is real friendly it ain't never shout out to jalisa thank you for everything you did for me and my family.

My family stayed at the Homewood Suites on Poydras for a month while repairs/renovations were being done to our home. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful. They were always welcoming, kind, helpful and accommodating. They knew this was a difficult situation for our family — living in a hotel with teenagers who have very busy schedules. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and to make our lives a little less stressful. We can’t recommend this hotel enough! They took fantastic care of our family and we’re forever grateful for their kindness.

Several items in my room were collected with towels and sheets. I reported it immediately with all details. Got no response from housekeeping. Escalated to Hilton. They referred back to hotel. Again nothing. Hilton says thanks for being loyal. I say keep an eye on your stuff because the housekeeping department can’t and won’t help you.

Friendly atmosphere, cleaning lady was so nice I didn’t get her name. She was replenishing the pool towels and it was time to go, but she was kind enough to let my boys continue to swim. Best time that the boys had on the trip since the basketball game we travelled for Golden State Warriors the players they wanted to see didn’t play and Curry got hurt. Thanks Homewood Suites!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The 1king/2queens was great for our party of 6

This was a family trip for us. There were 7 us and when we got there we were upgraded to a suite! Great experience and great staff!

I enjoyed my stay at this Homewood suites location. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. They allowed us to check in early (around 12pm) and so gave us a FREE upgrade suite, which had 2 bedrooms and two baths and with a living room area with a pull out. Perfect location, in walking distance to bourbon street/french quarter. Rooms were in good condition and the daily free breakfast was a great touch. The baggage hold was also beneficial at checkout since we had late flights.

Absolutely fabulous Hotel. The staff is amazing. The rooms are quite large for a very reasonable price. Walking distance to a lot of places. Free happy hour and complimentary breakfast. If I could give them 10 Stars I would! We will absolutely be back there!

Lynette helped us check in before we even got there. She was very friendly and helpful. Actually the whole staff was great. The room was beautiful and clean. It was true southern hospitality. Also it was a great location. I would stay there again.

Not to far away from everything. The staff was friendly and mostly nice. But a bit run down and operating cheap. Room wasn't ready by the time we came back to escape the heat of the day. The breakfast protein was prepackaged burritos… the carpets are looking old. They have put so many coats of fresh paint the doors stick. The television in the lobby needs to be replaced, or fixed, it is very blue in hue.

I see that the hotel has lots of reviews from 1 star to 5 star. I can't add much to convince or dissuade other travelers from staying here. One thing to consider that was a surprise to me — — — — it's $35 a night to park your car at the hotel. It may be cheaper, if one doesn't need their own car in NOLA as I do, to take a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and use the trolley when in the city. Here's an edit, done at the end of our weeklong stay, lowering my review from 4 to 3 stars. Housekeeping is at the very low end of acceptable. Every day something was done wrong. No coffee one day, left the blanket off the bed on another, etc. Twice the bath mat wasn't replaced, even though we could easily have stood on the same mat for many days. The evening reception was on the cheap end of reception scale, nothing like the promotional photos around the hotel. On the plus side, Cristal at the front desk was an amazing employee.

Good location. Most attractions within walking distance. Nice rooms, fully functioning kitchenette. Attentive housekeeping staff, and front desk. Well stocked "suite shop" including adult beverages, rooms included a wine bottle opener++++. Bedroom and main room separated by doors. Perfect place to stay for family with smaller children.

Good location to the Superdome. Room was clean and easily got plenty more towels from housekeeping. All staff has been courteous and helpful. If I need to come back to the Superdome I'll check here.

Got us a room at another Hilton location, but had no transportation set up. We had to pay for the Uber. New location seemed surprised when we showed up. Took until nearly 1 am to get us into a room. This is what $300/night gets you at a Hilton? If I book a room for $150, I'll make sure to bring my own toilet paper. Update: They were supposed to refund us the cost of our reservation, but failed to do so after a week. I called and allegedly it will get done in 5-7 days now. I was also apologized to since the employees "did not follow the process" for walking us to another hotel. Fantastic. That apology will cover the expense of the Uber ride that I footed and other expenses incurred. Avoid. The employees here literally can't do a single thing correctly.

Spacious room, lovely big bed, very homely. Room comes with a small kitchenette with a fridge and mini freezer. We had a small issue with the fuse in our room which led to us not being able to use the light or the fan in the bathroom but this was dealt with immediately when we reported it. Disappointed that there was no safe in the room, but they gave us a key to a deposit box in reception.

About over 2 miles away from French quarter. As soon as you cross the canal street. Little bit quite and no one bother you for change. Homewood suite, you are in the middle of everything. You can reach your destination between 15 to 20 minutes of walking. Harrah's casino, Riverwalk mall and the Bourbon st. Staff are very friendly and breakfast are good enough to satisfy you in the morning.

I will never stay with Hilton again in my life. Anyone who can see this should know that not only once but 3 times did Hilton overbook my room after I paid up front. Then I was given a room cheaper than the room I had actually purchased. I would recommend the Marriott I have never had a problem with how they run their establishments.

This is an ok family stay hotel for a visit to the Big Easy. The property is showing it’s age, but it is well-maintained, the rooms are clean and the staff entirely wants you to have a fabulous stay. Given its proximity to Bourbon Street and the French quarter, this is a good value stay. Breakfast is free, and it’s not a small breakfast!

The hotel has been renovated since many of the pictures I've seen on yelp. I stayed here for most of eight straight weeks. This is an awesome hotel and I'll always recommend it. The location is excellent for restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast at 0630 sharp every morning, for those on a timeline. Their business room is available 24/7 for internet and printing/copies (I know this doesn't seem like much, but if you need that sort of thing it's a huge help). The staff knew my name and always took great care of anything I needed, including immediately addressing any unique issues regarding reservations or charges. No, this isn't the flashiest hotel or braggable, but they take outstanding care of you. Very strongly recommend.

Located 5 min from the convention center and the French Quarter, accessible to super market and banks on Main Avenue. The rooms are suite type very well conditioned, good care and service.

I am only giving one star since I cannot submit the review without at least 1 star. This hotel is a dump. My husband and I stayed there April 20, 2017 for 1 night. We were booked for 4 nights with points. The room was dirty (mold in the shower and on the bathroom floor) and dirty ceilings in the living room as well. The heater vent in the living room was covered in filthy dust. The woman at the front desk refused to return my points to me when I checked out. I called corporate and got my points back. I should have posted this review last year. Stay away from this hotel unless you are okay with dirt and mold.

I loved it there the staff the valet the security loved them all they were so good to us room was big and spacious walking distance to everything I recommend this hotel 100% and we just stayed her from feb 2-4 2018 for Mardi Gras so much fun.

We had an awesome stay. Exceptional customer service; breakfast and happy hour during the week were great. Our room was nice and very clean. Blake made our trip even better by sending champagne and chocolate to our room for our anniversary. We are looking forward to next year. We will definitely make Homewood Suites on Poydras St. Our place to stay in New Orleans.

This hotel is quite nice! King size bed, full kitchen (minus oven), balcony, and not super expensive which is great considering it's only a 10 minute (leisurely) walk from Canal St. The morning breakfast is decent and the room is spacious! I would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed in several hotels in New Orleans and this one so far is my favorite. Very close to the French Quarter. Walking distance to restaurants. Very quiet. Great full sized heated indoor pool and hot tub which is essential if you are traveling with kids. Full hot breakfast. The lobby is very nice and has a fireplace. The hotel feels very secure and safe, which is an important factor. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Overall a decent hotel with rooms-apartments, the rooms themselves are large enough, but it would be nice to update the appliances in the kitchen rooms. The French quarter is within walking distance, as are other new Orleans attractions.

Stay away. I called the front desk to ask if there was a room available to check in early. Tiffany on the phone was rude and dismissive and threw policy at me left and right as if there was an argument, and as if I was asking for a handout. I was ready to pay for a room while traveling on business and jet lagged, but with her non-accommodating attitude I will no longer support this hotel. Happy Holidays Tiffany!

A great hotel downtown. Several restaurants and bars within a block. Walking distance to the Superdome. Awesome happy hour with adult beverages and appetizers. Our room was clean and comfortable. ALL the staff were nice and helpful. Close to the French quarter. We'll definitely stay here again.

Great location! Very clean and new looking inside. Valet parking. Free breakfast in the morning. Better than continental breakfast but not great. Would definitely recommend.

Overall decent place, rooms could use some minor upkeep such as painting in the bathroom. At least in the room I stayed in. Great area and their breakfast is pretty good.

Solid hotel. Had my room ready for me a bit early just in time for the rainstorm. Typical evening and morning fares included. Great location close to the French Quarter, but far enough away to be quiet at night.

Incredibly impressive new and comfortable hotel. Beat all my expectations for comfort, service, and convenience.

Rating is more a 2.5. First night it took over 10 minutes to get hot water for a shower. Other two nights, at least 5. The tub had rust around the drain and mold in the corners. Carpet pretty stained and it looked like the carpet against the wall areas was never vacuumed. Big let down for a Hilton family property.

Had a great stay. Carolyn from house keeping was awesome and had a customer service. I would definitely stay again.

Checked on valet parking before arrival to make sure could meet our height restriction. Was guarenteed that parking was open lot. We asked if secure, and were reassured by Hilton front desk it was secured lot. Front desk lied. Next day parking group calls, our car was broken into, and our rear window busted out. First time Hilton Honors member stay and first time Hilton property stay. Lot was not secure and run down, other cars were broken into as well. Extremelty difficult and traumatic experience for our kids and our family. Advise: Do not use valet parking. Entire episode handled poorly by Hilton staff who just left us hanging, same for parking staff. Police response was slow and not well handled either. Praying to just get car back, repaired and go home. We get it, we are not welcome here.

Really liked this hotel. Good comfy bed, room temp cooled down nicely (it was hot when I checked in). Room was spacious and the upkeep was good. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff were very pleasant to deal with. Internet was fast. Water in shower didn't leave you feeling slimy from being oversoftened like the water at some of the other hotels I've stayed at in the area. Close to the attractions. Great stay!

This place was so convenient for a week stay. It was centrally located (kind of in the business district) and a block away from the St. Charles Trolley. We had a spacious 1 bedroom suite. The king bed was comfy & the whole place was clean with plenty space. We even had a balcony. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly. There is a large selection of restaurants in the area in all price ranges. Each a. M they have a breakfast and in the evening a social hour included with your stay. We also used their on-site laundry machines. Great place!

Very friendly and courteous staff. We have stayed in MANY Hilton family rooms and Homewood Suites seems to be among the best customer service in the business (from what can tell so far). On the contrary, the rooms are somewhat "outdated" and the hotel carries a mandatory $35.00 plus tax for valet service for your car. This can prove inefficient if you are on business and in a hurry. Additionally, the hotel is centrally located to most downtown attraction. If the hotel would been newer, I probably would have given it 5 stars. Wish me luck! It is now breakfast time. I hope there breakfast is as good as people say it is… 4 Stars!

This is truly a "home away from home" hotel. The staff is friendly and courteous. Also the suites are neat and clean. The breakfast could be a little better, but overall, the stay was great!

We stayed in April for a week. Super friendly, nice pool and bedrooms. Gave up on trying to get the VERY loud AC fixed. Maintenance said that was normal, although it kept us awake at night… lights in bathroom went out, shower water was lukewarm. The sofa and the chair were not very comfortable either. There is no way to rent movies. My granddaughters enjoyed the breakfasts and evening soup and salad.

Good location. Only a 10 minute walk to French Quarter and Superdome area. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is adequate but free so won't complain. Overall, good place to stay.

Breakfast buffet was just ok. Although, what do you want for free! Right? Rooms were nice although, the a/c when out half way into my stay and this was in the second week of August. Homewood Suites is centrally located to the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans in which I liked. Staff was nice and gave good directions, but just be mindful of your reservations and receipts in case you get locked out of your room like I did one day and it was a hassle! Overall I still had a pleasant stay.

My sister and best friend stayed here for their birthday this past weekend and I wanted to surprise them with champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. I got ahold of Gina who worked at the concierge desk and she contacted a local grocery store to see about buying the items. When she found out they were closed she left my information with her co-worker Blake who I got into contact with the next day. He said that they would not deliver to the hotel, but he would be more than happy to walk over there at no extra charge to pick the items up. He was so extremely helpful and kept in contact with me to ensure that everything went smoothly. He even wrote a note and left it for me. I was so completely floored by how helpful they were! It was a very amazing experience and they obviously truly care about their guests.

Was very dissatified with my overall experience. Was in town for leisure over the weekend. I chose to check in on-line and accepted the 2nd floor room offered not knowing the room was on the same floor as a meeting/conference room. A family reunion was being held in the meeting room. On Saturday night in particular, my family and I were startled awake by a jazz band as it began to play in the hall outside our door. The band was there for the reunion. I phoned the front desk from my cell phone to file a complaint. The front desk only offered a mild apology. I'll be writing a letter to management to express my opinion.

Normally, I'm not one to complain (I never send my food back even if it's awful), but this experience was genuinely awful. The front desk staff was unfriendly and took forever to check us in, there was a crowd of people being loud in the lobby at 11 PM when we checked in, and there was no A/C in our room when we finally got up there. There was a portable A/C unit in the bedroom but it sent no air to the main living room where I slept. If I ever come to New Orleans again, I won't be staying here. Especially if it's the summer.

Sorry to say we had money stolen from our room by a Homewood Suites employee. So much for the trust factor. I will never stay in a Homewood Suites again. We ended up filing a police report with NO Police Department. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional police department, who voiced their opinions while writing up the report; so unprofessional. They basically said there was nothing they could do, and as far as they know, I could be making it up. The hotel said the same thing, even though the card keys record the time that the key is used to open the door. Housekeeping went into the room, was there for 5 mins. Then came out without cleaning the room, and my family entered the room a couple minutes later, on our way back from Mass. Housekeeping is not allowed to enter your room for no reason. DO NOT LEAVE MONEY OR VALUABLE IN THE ROOM, or better yet, don't stay here.

I have stayed at Homewood Suites before and expected much the same accommodations and service. I couldn't have been more disappointed. There were 10 people in out group staying there for 3 days. Thankfully I had a smoking room cause it smelled better than the rooms where my non-smoking friends stayed. There was an air purifier in my room. But no ashtrays and only 1 remote for 2 TV. The bellman did correct that problem for me. The corner of the bed was broken, the sleeper sofa was broken, the coffee pot was broken, the toilet seat continually tried to throw me. No wash rags or soap in the bath area and you don't realize it till you are wet and having to slip and slide you way to the basin area to retrieve them. The air conditioning did little to remove any humidity and my clothes actually felt damp in the morning. Air didn't work in our meeting room either. Great deal because they provide a limited breakfast and dinner. The wood was sorry. Calendar on the fridge said spaghetti and meatballs for dinner the first night. It was a watery meat sauce and no spaghetti. In stead they had overcooked macaroni in a liquid cheese sauce with undercooked frozen green beans with no seasoning. This is Louisiana people. Throw some bacon drippings in there at least. Breakfast the next day was cold and unappetizing but the best was the young girl that was acting as server. Every time you saw her she would have fixed herself a plate and was eating.

My husband and I booked this hotel at the last minute and we were more than happy with the choice. We took the MegaBus to NOLA for the Oyster Fest. First of all the early check-in and the ease of it was absolutely perfect. The front desk employee Candy was very nice, all smiles and full of information. She did warn us that the hotel was about to undergo renovation so the couch in our suite had major visible wear. Everything else about our room was perfect. It was clean and spacious. The hot water was hot and the A/C and fridge were cold. The complimentary breakfast was very good. There was fresh fruit, cold juice, hot coffee and plenty of choices to get you full and satisfied. The hotel was within walking distance of the Oyster Fest and everything else that the average tourist would come to NOLA to experience. This was not our first visit to NOLA. We will definitely stay here again when we visit again with our children. We did not experience 1 incident staying here and the service was awesome.

A great place to stay if you have the family in tow. When we moved down to New Orleans we stayed here while we waited for our furniture to be delivered to our house. This place was great because we are able to get a two bedroom suite for a reasonable price. The two bedroom layout allowed us to function somewhat normally with our 1 year old. Our baby had a room for the various naps and we could still rest in the common room and the other bedroom. The breakfast buffet was decent as well. This place definitely made the week without a home tolerable.

The reason for the two star review is mainly for the customer service and amenities. I stayed at this hotel for Mardi Gras week 2014. When I first arrived I attempted to check-in using my first and last name but the front desk service member insisted I did not have a reservation at the hotel. I found this very surprising considering that I booked the hotel back in September. It took about an hour and a half of going back and forth to finally get checked-in and my room keys. The hotel room I stayed in was exceptionally nice and spacious. Later that night, I tried out the complimentary dinner which was decent but ended up making me sick that night. Being hotel ridden for your first night at Mardi Gras is not fun! The hotel also required guests to wear green wristbands which at first sounds good for security concerns. However, they expect you to wear it at all times (and the wristband does not come off unless you tear it! — — And besides, I'd like to have nothing on my wrists while I shower! ). Last but not least, the digital cable TV channels were down for two days. Unacceptable! Especially since the front desk was bragging about the amenities while we were checking in. If I come to NOLA again I will definitely be trying out a different hotel.

Some friends and I stayed three nights at this hotel during a trip for the Rock-N-Roll marathon. The rooms were large and clean. I've stayed at nicer hotels but definitely have no complaints. What really made this hotel such a great experience was the staff and specifically, Lucy, the manager (I believe that was her name. ) Lucy was a delight and always went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. She came in early on the morning of the race just to set up some fruit and granola bars for all the runners staying there. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
