The staff was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the shower leaked water onto the floor, and the heater had a funny smell. When I called the front desk, they sent maintenance who put a new strip on the bottom of the door, and they gave us a whole bunch of towels to replace the ones we used to dry the floor. The shower still leaked, but the staff response was great. We told the front desk when we checked out that the shower still leaked. Hopefully, if you get room 200, the problem is fixed now.

Staff is friendly… room is clean, but small. Beds sleep GREAT… only issue for me was the fridge wasn't cold and I am not a fan of the ole school air conditioners. Otherwise it's a cool place to stay… Very close to the dome and canal street trolley…

We usually go to Holiday Inns because they are generally clean and well maintained. This one is not meeting the standards we expected. First, we reserved a king room well in advance and showed up shortly after check in time. They did not have one available and said we could wait an unknown amount of time or take a double room. Second, when we got to our room there was a left over pizza stuffed in a drawer. Finally, the breakfast was disappointing even for Holiday inn. The bread was stale, choices few and cold coffee.

Great room and shower. Everything looked nice and clean when we arrived. The only problem I had with the room was there was a large strain on the window shade that appeared to be where someone spilled a beverage. Other than that we both enjoyed our stay!

When we first arrived I thought the hotel was nice. Very clean… The Customer Service Reps were extremely nice, especially Brittney and I thought the young Assistant General Manager, Carl was the best. The rooms we stayed in were very nice and clean. The housekeepers were very friendly and very professional. The breakfast buffet was ok. They didn't have enough food to accommodate all of the guests. Apparently when the food is gone, that's it. They didn't set out anymore. The pool area and weight room were nice as well… The only problem I had with the hotel was they charged my card $50 three times. Once for each room (we had two) upon check in and another $50 for one room on the next day. Brittany was told by Carl that she was only suppose to charge my card once… Which was only for day one… The charge is for incidental fees, which suppose to be refunded upon check out… They took a total of $150 and almost 3 weeks later I still haven't been refunded my money… I called the hotel, but I am assuming that since all of the front desk employees are fairly new, they didn't know anything to tell me but,. "I see where all the charges have been finalized… and Brittany informed me that there wasn't any way to manually refund me my money using the Opera system… (we know that's incorrect) … "To make a long story short, I ended up calling their corporate office… The lady that I spoke with tried to resolve the issue.

It was the worst 3 nights of my life. Don't bother staying here just go somewhere else. I would write an honest review but it goes over the limit. But the rooms were terrible the lobby looks good so there is that and their breakfast was good. Everything else made me want to leave.

The rooms in the hotel were quite nice and the AC worked great. The hotel staff were responsive to guest needs. The only detractor was a smallish window in the afternoon for cleaning staff and breakfast being replenished in "waves". Both mornings all the coffee ran out and was out for a time prior to carafes being replaced. The same goes for a number of the breakfast items. Overall its value and location to the French Quarter would bring us back.

This was my first time staying at this hotel in downtown New Orleans, LA when I came this way to my family a long time ago visiting from Austin, TX. This time I’ve come with a friend of mine. The hotel was pretty cool from the looks of the inside and outside. The staffs were pretty cool and pretty question to ask if you stay at this hotel or not, if you don’t seem familiar to them or whatever reason. The elevators are pretty shaky whenever you stop at each floor while going up or down, but pretty old looking. The rooms are pretty big, but some of the restroom doors in your room don’t lock, they just slide and maybe not give you enough privacy. Walking to Bourbon Street and to the Riverwalk was a 10-20 minute walk. The traffic is pretty calm if you were to walk across the street to walk to your car and back to the hotel. Beware that they charge for parking at this hotel. If you do pay for parking, you can pay the front desk to tell them where you’re going to be park at or you can pay yourself at the premium parking with a displayed ticket. Beware that your car can be booted if you didn’t pay for parking and it will cost you $90 to get it unbooted. The breakfast at this hotel is pretty good, but kind of the same like almost every holiday inn express hotel has. I would recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a place to stay at to visit New Orleans, LA.

Elevator needs some service. Staff was good. Breakfest is good for HIE. Be nice if they had a bar. I Would stay here again.

This Holiday Inn Express was remarkably clean. The room was slightly smaller than I expected but the accomodations were nice. The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was quiet without distractions during the night. The bed was comfortable. The sliding bathroom door was different, offerimg less privacy than I am accustomed to but it was adequate. Complimentary breakfast was a nice treat also.

We just stayed here a few days ago and once we came in to check into our reservations the hotel over booked and our rooms were given to someone else. The only reason I didn't rate this place any lower was because the manager ended up giving us a free night at a seperate hotel. Also the elevators smell horrible and then shower had fungus all over seemed like it was not cleaned in months. I won't be staying here again total nightmare.

Decent hotel in New Orleans. Much better than the super 8 in north n. O. That we almost stayed at… But the cable is still out and the 2nd shift front desk lady has a funky ass attitude… So does the 1st shift woman… Plus you have to pay for parking. A little overpriced for what it was… like just about everything else in New Orleans.

A solid 3 star rating. Pros: convenient location to popular tourist spots, small workout room with free weights, small pool, price point. Cons: breakfast is limited, room layout, room cleanliness. In all, this is a nice place to stay because of the bargin. Don't expect to be blown away by the breakfast or Wi-Fi speed\coverage. The bathroom sink was built out into my room, which I found a bit strange and dated. I reserved a king bed but was given a room with two full beds. Also, the carpet in my room was visibly dirty and could have used a good vac. In all, I think the location and price point make this place a solid 3 stars.

Breakfast was standard stuff: Cereal, beagals, make your own pancakes. The rooms were nice and fairly clean, but the bathroom doors are terrible. They are the sliding Barn door style and give you absolutely no privacy. Zero. And the men's bathroom in the lobby was out of order all weekend.

Originally gave this 3 stars. The workers are all polite and the breakfast was standard for a holiday inn Express. The elevators seemed a little sketch and some in our group held their breath every time we were on them, which was a lot considering the stairs to the bottom floor were fire exit only. The reason for me changing to one star is that as we were cleaning up to leave me found a used condom and wrapper tucked away under the bed close to the wall. I would not stay here again if I came to New Orleans. In general, I would say it is not up to the normal holiday inn Express standards.

I am an IHG club member and frequently travel for work. This was my worst holiday inn experience ever. I wish I could give it 0 stars. The receptionist was extremely rude. I think their employees need some hospitality training. Room had a vague disgusting smell and refrigerator had small hair in it. Would not recommend this location to anyone, please stay elsewhere.

Convenient location… for the rest, cleanliness is not the best, as soon as you enter the room there is bad smell, definitely due to the carpet given… good breakfast as well as the welcome.

This hotel is the worst ever — only rated it a 2 star because I felt sad to rate it lower. The set up sucks — the sink close to your bed/ sliding doors on a bathroom — that didn't close — refrigerator had build up in freezer from non cleaning or defrosting Dirty towels, etc stayed in hallways for two days — beds remade with stained covers. 3 hangers in room — each time more were requested-excuses were given each day — no security — janitor played roles of security. Elevator smelled as if It were cleaned with a dirty sour mop. Carpet in room was smelly as well. Room was not selected by us — travel agent really screwed up this time. This hotel was labeled as being renovated or modernized. Staffing very pleasant. Toiletries minimal — unacceptable! The beds and pillows were awesome-, my reason for upping the rating to a 2. Breakfast buffet — it gets a 2 as well.

The hotel is well located and easily accessible to most of the CBD and the French quarter. It is well maintained and breakfast is excellent. I consider service has opportunities although is is very good.

I’m platinum IHG member and making 60+ nights a year. Usually I do not make reviews but this one requires. Hotel is standard HI express, know what to expect. But, stuff member I met was is what I complain on, so careless. Can you imagine hotel not having hot water for tea on breakfast and response was that they are out of hot water not even lifting her eyes to look at me while talking? Yeah, I understand that hot water is luxury in some parts of the world, but was not aware that is the case in this hotel.

My experience was great. Staff was very nice. Rooms were up to date and clean. The kids loved it. Will definitely be back.

This is a nice clean hotel. Great location as it is walking distance from the French Quarter. Very nice staff as Angelica was very hospitable at the front desk.

I, too, travel a lot for work, and this was one of the worst experiences I've had yet. My room key stopped working three times during my 10-night stay. On the third time to go back to the lobby and fix it, there was a large party checking in. There was someone else waiting off to the side to take care of their room card as well, and they mentioned this also was not the first time for this to happen to them. The person at the front desk was struggling with check in, and there was no manager in sight. The continental breakfast was pretty much the same every day, with few variances. Hot food was not really hot, and the set up of the breakfast nook was very crowded easily with 4 or 5 people. Upon checkout, the night audit person was nowhere to be found, and again, I had to wait for someone to get them and bring them to the front. I was overcharged $300+ on my bill for parking, but did not even have a car to park in the lot. I would avoid this "hotel" at all costs. There are many other options in the area, especially if you're willing to spend just a few more dollars.

The staff at the front desk were the most incompetent I've ever seen, and I travel a lot due to my work. It took me nearly an hour to check in because of misunderstanding on their part. I asked them to fix the issue, the manager said they would. But then when I checked out, the mistake was still there. My company tried to solve it on the phone, and we thought it was resolved. Now a week later, I see a second charge on my credit card… they charged me 3 nights when I just spent one! This is the worst customer service I have ever seen and will never stay at this chain/ hotel again. By the way I just read other reviews I should have read before going there, they said: "Beware credit card scams"… Now YOU know!

Hotel was nice and rooms were updated but small. My room had a lovely view of the AC unit, but it was fine. Staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was a pretty standard continental buffet set up.

The rooms were clean and well decorated but they are a little small, but it's okay because most people don't spend too much time in the room.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! We were here for 2 weeks and from the start the attitude we encountered was unbelievable! The receptionist on night shift had a terrible demeanor and had no customer service whats so ever. We had to change rooms because there was a leak (the executive housekeeper was lovely and very accomodating though) there was only one lift working which had an awful smell, actually the whole hotel stinks of must and mould. The breakfast was so-so and you're lucky if you can make yourself a cup of coffee or tea. There was a blackout at the hotel in which a young guy got trapped in the one available lift which went, people had to go up the emergency exits with no lights on, we had to sleep without any air-con during NOLA's humid season and the same receptionist who gave us bad attitude from the start was outside on the phone smoking a cigarette instead of informing guests about the hotel's situation, very unprofessional indeed! There are random staff members behind the front desk on their phones or just waiting there for no reason, one male employee was just flirting away with other female members. Our rooms were rarely cleaned, one time we caught one of the house keepers charging her phone in our room using one of OUR CABLES, she didn't even seem to care we were in there. We informed the one of the MANY managers "Curtis" but he did not get back to us formally regarding our concerns.

This was the WORST hotel stay ever. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. We had no internet or cable and we were NOT advised beforehand. Once we realized it and we spoke to management we were told there was nothing they could do about it and that Cox was working on it. They did not accommodate us at all. The room had a smell, and the only people who were friendly was housekeeping. They even complained about how screwed up everything was in the hotel. I'm glad that I was only there for a day. All I can say is at least the bed seemed cleaned. But the carpet was wet by the window.

This is a nice hotel. Clean with basic services. Good location — french quarters are within walking distance. Nice staff, good american breakfast. Small washrooms though. Washbasin in our case was inside the room which is a negative. Don't know if that the case for other rooms as well.

The room was nice and clean, but the staff here is so amazing! I've never had customer service as awesome as at this Holiday Inn express. We had an AirBnb situation go Haywire and this location was available for all 10 of the ladies in my group and we had a ball. :) In walking distance from everything and again the staff was awesome! Even the nightly security guard was nice.

Clean hotel in a good location with two decent parking lots across the street. We weren't there long enough to use much of the amenities, but the pool and gym looked good. The room was cozy and the bed was firm. Enjoyed the full breakfast.

The room was alright and it's a relatively good location. The elevators are slow. However, the staff at the front desk were the most incompetent I've ever seen (and in recent years I've stayed in hundreds of hotels in about 30 countries). It took us nearly half an hour to check in (and they almost lost one of our credit cards) and, at the end, they put one of our two rooms under a higher rate than the one at which we had booked it. Asking them to fix it (to charge for the second room the original rate) as we were checking out didn't help anything. It was almost comical how poorly they reacted to our complains, blaming the system, or the person who checked us in, or any random thing they could come up with. I suppose if you're lucky and they manage to check you in correctly, you may never notice how incompetent they are. I wouldn't risk it. I'm never staying in hotels of this chain again.

We stayed here the night before a cruise. Nice hotel very convenient to the port, however when we returned I checked my bank statement and realized I had an extra charge of $27. I called to ask them about it and the lady told me "I just pulled your bill and all you have is a charge for $32.77 (which was for parking and I was aware of). Maybe it will be put back into you account". If they charge everyone that stays an extra $27 how much are they making.

Great location but we did not have a good experience. The hotel room itself was too small. They didn't clean our room, there wasn't enough towels and The house keeper was very rude when we did ask for extra towels. They charge 30$/ night for parking so we decided to park at another location across the street that was much cheaper but when we checked out, they still charged us $60 for parking. I always stay at Holliday inn express' but I will not recommend this particular location.

Close to Amtrak Train & Greyhound Bus since we were leaving on the train the next day. Very accommodating & friendly. Modern rooms. Good breakfast. Small misc. Market area could be improved to add more selections.

Perfect location. So close to quite a few places to eat. Parking is decent, though the charge seems silly if I am paying to stay at the hotel. The pool is more of a puddle too, but clean and very beautiful; as is the gym. Clean rooms with a good layout and mini fridge/microwave.

We found BED BUGs in our room. In the next morning, we found that the sheet was not cleaned, with a big blood stain on the corner. Next to the blood, there is a dead body of a bed bug, lying there. Besides, we found a living one on the comforter and killed it — — blood came out! Gosh! Imagine this happens while you are on vacation. It is completely ruined! And what's worse, none of the hotel employee were willing to help. They were very rude and just told us again and again that the hotel policy only takes care of their property, while the customer's cleanness is not their responsibility! They even refused to sterilize our belongings! We were so frustrated and angry! The bad attitude of the employees really makes everything worse. Do yourself a favor and don't stay in this hotel. Bed bugs are extremely difficult to eliminate. Once get on, it is very difficult to get rid of.

When I called the Holiday Inn Express Downtown New Orleans — 334 O'Keefe Ave, New Orleans, LA 70112 last night to make a reservation, the gentleman looked at my rewards account and told me I have enough for a free nights stay. When I went to book the stay for 2 nights prior to our cruise, he said that this property is not allowing rewards points to be used. My gut tells me this method is "selective" in that since its prior to a cruise and the hotel knowing there will be a lot of people there, they want to make as much money as possible therefore refusing to let anyone use their rewards points. Beware of this prior to booking. Not happy with Holiday Inn Express and IHG Rewards.

Very nice hotel! Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with plenty of towels for the three days my wife and I stayed. Pretty close to Canal Street and Bourbon street. Close to the trolly on Canal too. Would recommend and stay again.

The experience we had wasn't the best. They had no record of our reservation, but the customer service was great and they got everything figured out, very pleased with staff, but the hotel room FLOORS were disgusting, they need to be shampood, my sister had to throw out her slippers because the Bottoms were so black and so was our feet we eventually had to wear socks everywhere.

The bathroom setup is horrible. Formula blue should not be the wave of the future. The walls are also thin. Extend Internet to the corner rooms.

Great hotel. Hotel and room were clean and the clerck at the front desk was very respectful.

I thought the rates were quite high considering that it is suppose to be a budget hotel. They also initially charged us more than what was on the confirmed online reservation. On top of that, they also clamped our vehicle which was parked in the hotel's partner parking space across the street. It took a while for that to be sorted out and when the parking manager and attendant came to unclamp the car, they indicated that they frequently have such cases because it seems the hotel does not always pass on their registered guests' plate numbers to the parking company so that they get logged in as properly parked hotel guests. Reception leaves much to be desired. The man who claimed to be the manager at that check out time (Michael; 27 December; 11am) was not too helpful considering that they have inconvenienced us. I have been to several Holiday Inns in the UK where I am based and they have generally been pretty decent. But this one was quite a disappointment to say the least. I wonder if one can get more value for money — — and perhaps better service — — — from a Motel 6?

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. In walking distance of both the Superdome and Bourbon. I would definitely stay here again.

Awesome, we had a room off the pool with a great view. They had an on demand shuttle that dropped off and picked up. Immaculate and beautiful.
