We will definitely be back. The room was comfortable for our family of 4 and very well maintained. Check in was easy and a special thanks to Ms Charlene at front desk for her efficiency and great service. We cannot say enough great things about the dining staff, particularly the host Mr Glenn, who is just so professional as well as the wait staff Javier and Steven. Nothing was a problem, even during their rushed breakfast service. Special mention to Ms Ingrid at the bar. She provided great service, a friendly smile and was very welcoming. She engaged with everyone and she as genuinely interested in the people she was serving. Holiday Inn, Downtown Superdome, your staff are a credit to you, we highly recommend your establishment.

They took 800$ from me because it was the wrong one. I showed up and tried to get the days switched to later in the year. They refused. Out if 806$ I got 3$ back. They are trash.

Nice size rooms great balcony that opens! Only thing is I stayed here maybe 5-6 years ago and they haven’t had a refresh yet I would like to see something new! Very clean very polished by the way more than enough towels.

Staff was rude plain and simple, the only person that was friendly was the male that worked the desk at night 8-16-21 and the older security guard but the women are absolutely rude, went to check into the hotel after a 3 hr flight long story short I forgot to deposit my cash before I got on the plane anyways we arrive in New Orleans went to check into the hotel ended up being $900 for the week that’s fine but we needed to use 2 different cards, asked the women if we could use 2 different cards they claimed that’s not allowed so I was gonna have my friend Venmo me $900 so she claimed prepaid cards weren’t allowed so we asked if we could change our reservation for just 2 days so we could get this cash deposited then we’d pay for the other 4 days and I could use my Wells Fargo card, she claimed that’s not allowed either by this time I’m already tired and irritated because I feel like she’s purposely making it hard for me and right as I’m about to walk out with my friend shift change happens and this awesome guy comes on and literally does everything for us that these women claimed couldn’t be done, then the next day we went to eat at the hotel restaurant and this woman again gets an attitude with my friend because she’s not vaccinated so we left and ate next door.

It was very clean and very comfortable I don’t agree with you charging ur customers to sleep when your already charging for the stay and no breakfasts for the prices you charge.

Very close to the attractions in downtown NOLA. The hotel was very clean. The restaurant in the hotel had really good food and drinks.

We appreciated everything about this hotel, from the clean, spacious room to the amazing staff, not to mention the very comfortable bed and the beautiful pool. We felt like home with our baby, and enjoyed every single interaction with the staff members. Probably the main highlight of our trip in New Orleans.

Not only do I pay $200 for room but $30 to park my car. It’s unreal. I’m a guest that should be a given. Than given a moldy room next to fire alarm and stairs. I’m really disappointed bringing in New Year. Wish Ashley would of told me.

It was my first time going to New Orleans and I was amazed at the hotel. The atmosphere was great the bar and restaurant area was great my view from my room was amazing. The front Desk was very helpful I asked her for suggestions on where to eat and she gave us a great place. Every staff member was nice and approachable. Everything was so close and walking distance. Will come back here in the future!

Park and cruise package. There is no one monitoring parking garage. Several dings on car from people opening up their doors. I lost my ticket to get out of the parking garage and had to pay $35 just to get out then was still going to stay another night but Hotel insisted I pay another $30 for parking after I explaining what happened you would think they would be a little understanding. Horrible customer service. Hotel wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t stay there again due to lack of customer service and parking.

My second time staying here and both times have been excellent. Easy walk to catch the steet car and just a short ride to French Quarter. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The restaurant is small with a standard menu and is fine for a quick breakfast or very casual meal. I will be more than happy to stay here again on return trips to New Orleans.

I stayed here at this hotel for the Essence Festival 2018 (July 7-July10) The afternoon staff were not friendly and was adamant in assisting with accommodations with our room. I like the balcony view and I was able to see the pool. My room was fine but the bathroom does not have much space. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to Bourbon Street. Public Transportation was available and affordable. The checkout staff were very friendly.

Big hotel. Most of the front desk clerks are not very good with people. They would talk to me facing down the whole time. Hello… I'm right here people! Sometimes four people at the desk at one time, but I still have to wait to get seen or even be acknowledged. This is New Orleans! Add some spice to your food! Seafood platter was bland. My wife threw most of hers away! Pecan pie was mostly filling with just a sprinkle of pecans. Again, this is the south… learn to cook like it. Nice pool. Ice machine on our floor didn't work, vending machine on floor below took my money and the one in pool area didn't work. As much business as this place gets, you would think that they would keep these things up.

They double dipped without my permission. We checked in over a week ago and paid cash for a 3 night stay ($500). We didn't know they had already charged our bank card for one night stay. Nobody told us that this would be done. They kept claiming the transaction has been finalized, but I am still waiting for my money to be released to my bank. My bank states that it is on their end. All other transactions made in New Orleans on this trip have processed. Toilets are horrible. We had to call for maintenance twice and were told that this just how the sewage system is in New Orleans. Asked for towels they never brought them. I will NEVER stay here again. I might as well have stayed in a Motel!

I thought it was not bad. Everything was clean, but some updates could be made. The pool area was nice. Tried to catch the sunrise from it, but too many buildings in the way. However, I could see the sunset play from my balcony. It's to be expected in the city, though. Within walking distance of most attractions, and if you don't or can't walk it, the trolley is right outside. For the price, I would have expected more, and probably would have went for a slightly more expensive hotel or Airbnb for the same or lower price, instead. Staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast personnel were extremely kind and on point, even if breakfast menu/buffet left much to be desired. The bartender was fabulous and gave great advice on where to go to eat nearby. If I rated the hotel on the staff alone, it would be higher, for sure.

I have been all over the United States, stayed in hundreds of hotels. And the Holiday Inn here in New Orleans is by far the worst I have ever been to when paying as much as I did. I can’t not believe the level of incompetence here. This is bar none the worst customer service I have ever seen. Crapy rooms for $400. Gross room service food, and trust me I know better then to expect much from room service food but god almighty. We ordered some chicken strips to snack on and we were treated to a grease fest. Literally a plate full of grease with some crap chicken on the side. It’s one bad experience after another with these people. Ordered some delivery pizza the first night and was made to come downstairs to get it. I think they could have at least brought it up. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. At least it was edible. We were told our room would be ready at 11. But we were made to wait in the lobby till 3 in the afternoon. The staff was horrendous. The front desk was so rude. I’m usually not a stickler for the small things and I almost never complain but this is just bad. I would avoid at all cost. There are much better options that are much closer to the fun!

This hotel was miserable! We arrived very early (check in at 3p and we got there at 10a) we explained to the front desk staff we were here early and they said no problem your room would be ready by 11:30 we went to check in at 12 they said it still wasn't ready. Not a big deal we sat around in the lobby. At 1:30 I asked for an update and without checking said our room wasn't ready because we selected a hearing impaired room, which we didn't know we did. I was told by the staff I probably just looked at the rates and not the actual room type, which was rude. I'm unsure why those who select a hearing impaired room have to wait later, but we did. The staff throughout was very rude to not only us but other guests and never tried to accommodate other guests requests at all. 3p. M. Comes around and our room still wasn't ready. Luckily they gave us a new room. Our keys didn't work so we couldn't use the elevator nor get into our room that — was one trip down to the lobby. We ordered food that the staff didn't bring to us, — that's another trip down to the lobby. We didn't have silverware — that was another trip down to the lobby. All without an apology or even a smile. I will not be returning!

Stayed here for Spring Break and the experience was amazing. This hotel is in the center of everything. We were able to walk to the Smoothie King Center without a problem and walk to Bourbon St. And the French Quarter. The French Quarters is quite a walk but if you don't mind touring then it's great. They have great hospitality. The only thing is that they don't have free breakfast, but there are plenty of food places nearby.

Great staff and very nice, clean hotel. Housekeeping did a great job as well. We laughed because our room was a disaster as we had 4 women in there, and we'd come back to our beds made, but items back on top exactly as we left them. It was as if they took photos before making the bed so they could place things where they were. We got a big kick out of it! Also, those cookies might be the best ever, and Shronette at the front desk was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

Facilities are fantastic. Guest services are well below expectations for this chain of hotels. Excellent location: close to transit, Canal St, Superdome and the French Quarter. Great value for the breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable: clean, large, and with good view. There is a gym, pool and laundry service on the 8th floor and several levels of parking. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service/staff overall. I stayed 3 nights and the service was consistently, inconsistent. Some team members were excellent: friendly, courteous, attentive, and did their jobs well. Others were the opposite: distracted, forgetful, unprofessional, unsure of policy/procedure. I had to make multiple requests for standard items. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Better corporate training is definitely called for.

The pool is in the shade in the afternoon, but we weren't in New Orleans because of that.

Decent room, okay location. Check-in no problem. Used the shower the next morning and was up to my ankles in water that would not drain. Put in a request that am, got back in the PM and no notice that it was dealt with. Contacted front desk and they advised it had been dealt with. Next morning in the shower, same back up of the drain, when I mentioned it at check-out clerk said nothing she could do, provided all sorts of attitude and shove the receipt in my face. Such piss poor customer service lowers the rating of an otherwise decent hotel.

The hotel is not bad but the management is DEPLORABLE: arrogant staff, including the "Manager": it took us a half — of vehement complaint to convince them that the Wi-Fi was down and that we had to involve the provider what took several hours s. They collect SYSTEMATICALLY $30 on the credit card they are supposed to repay under fortnight!

Great hotel, on road of intense traffic.

Horrible service. Their person handling rooms cancelled our reservation before we got there without even talking to us. We caught that issue a week before we had to leave. Received a new confirmation number and we paid for our whole stay up front only to find out they over booked their hotel so we had no room when we arrived. Double check your bill. They will add charges/ double charge for your room without talking to you. Their wait staff doesn't understand customer service. There is no redeeming quality to save this place from just be disgustingly awful. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

They tried to modernize it which would be fine if it wasn't so dirty and unkept (stained carpets, burn holes, hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower). The bathrooms are really really small and there was no fan. The shower head needs serious cleaning. There's coffee stains all over the table. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The concierge was great! She helped me find where to go to eat as well as booked me for a ghost tour. I would highly recommend talking to her before starting your night.

I really like the view from our room. The staff is extremely accommodating and very happy to see you around. Room and bathroom were very clean when we arrived. Oh… And the bed! So comfy, the pillows so cozy. If you're around the area and don't want to stay on Bourbon St. This is the place to stay.

My stay has been a series of errors for the two days I was here. It started when the Holiday inn in La Place had no water and did not bother to let us know before we drove 12 hours with 16 people. They admitted to not having water for 3 days prior to our reservation but did not call, email or anything. We were able to find last minute rooms but the rooms cost double and we went from free parking to $30 a night per vehicle. When we arrived the night shift clerk was helpful but the next morning the wait staff and concierge were all very rude and did not acknowledge that my wife was standing in front of them. We had 4 rooms and had problems with all of them. The toilets made noise in 2 rooms, the shower didn't drain in one, there was no water pressure in the shower in one and in my room the heater did not work. We called corporate and the heater was fixed right away but on day 2 the dining staff wouldn't let the kids have a buffet, they said that kids have to order from the menu. I understand that the hotel can't help this, but they are also close to a hospital and the ambulance sirens kept me up much of the night.

We did a weekend birthday celebration in New Orleans. Upon our arrival the hotel that we had previously booked did NOT meet our expectations. We went online to find another hotel and upon doing so, we found The Holiday Inn New Orleans Downtown. When we arrived we were greeted by Ms Velma. She was very attentive to our needs, she went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay there VERY enjoyable. Thank you so much MS VELMA.

Cheap hotel within a short distance of the French Quarter. No charm, very busy.

Great hotel. Has a parking deck that seems secure attached to the hotel. Staff was friendly. No free breakfast but there is a restaurant in the hotel. My photos show a king bed room on the 16th floor. Great view! Room was very nice. Very small bathroom but it has a large deep bathtub with plenty of hot water so that made up for It! The bed was super comfy! Room has a fridge, microwave and a Keurig machine (had we known We would have brought our own pods! ). The Walk On Sports bar & Restaurant is only 2 blocks away.

I stayed in July of 2017. I loved everything about Holiday Inn New Orleans-Downtown Superdome, from the cleanliness of the entire facility, the warm, helpful and welcoming staff and most importantly the security. I haven't been to many hotels that require a key card to access guest floors and this hotel did. Affordable, safe and with high hopes clean and good-treatment are tops factors in a hotel and this location fulfilled those factors. When I visit New Orleans again, I hope to be able to stay again!

Great Hotel with beautiful rooms. Close to the city center. The have a nice gym and pool area. The roomservice food they offer is very good and people working there are very friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff here. Every morning we left and whenever we came in the cleaning staff would always say hello and make jokes with us. The room was pretty large (had a king size bed room) and the food in the lobby was pretty good. There is parking inside the building as well as another parking lot in the back that’s with a different company. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the French quarter so we found it nice that we got to see different things we might not have if we had been closer. Would definitely stay here again!

Actually, I liked everything there, but the air conditioning was not quite adequate with the humid warm climate in August. The textiles were a bit clam …

The hotel appearance is nice. The gym is small but nice. However, the restaurant food prices are overpriced. Their servers make excuses for their lack of quality service. The omelet chef is great. However, the evening staff in the restaurant is not. The ribs were good but my wings smelled odd. I believe they were spoiled after waiting 30 minutes the first time. They cooked another batch loaded with hot sauce and the smelled remained. They might need to change their grease (fishy). The staff shared a good laugh behind the kitchen door. I did not eat the wings after overhearing. I threw them in the garbage immediately. The restaurant charged $1.00 if you wanted to take your food to go. Also, one of the bartenders wouldn't allow me to place an order at the bar. However, others placed an order the day before and after with another bartender. Also, the hotel didn't have any clean towels before 10 am (if they have too many guests? (excuses) ). The fronts desk people believe they say or treat you any kind of way as long as they smiled. Please weigh you option of quality vs quantity (money) before staying at this establishment.

My stay wasn’t all what I expected. They have nice, clean rooms and customers service was good. I just don’t understand why they charge they guess $30 a day for parking and $18 for buffet. I’m your quests and you charging me extra… that’s why I’m giving them a three. I understand that hotels charge for parking but $30 is a bit much. Choose wisely on your hotels and what your willing to spend on it.

Great location. 1.5 blocks away from Tulane hospital where I had business to attend to. Also close to many restaurants and bars. My room was more than spacious and everything was up to date. The front desk and bell hop were both very accommodating.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Superdome. It was pleasurable. The parking garage is attached to the hotel and parking can be included with your stay if you register correctly. Bourbon st and the Superdome are a 5 to 10 minute walk. The hotel room was very nice with new beds. It was quiet. The work out room is sparse with three older treadmills and a stationary bike and some weights. The cafe in the lobby has very reasonably priced food. Over all a nice stay.

Street car restaurant has great food. Rooms are beautiful. This hotel is conveniently local to everything in this great city.

Great location! Thought we might need to rent a wheelchair for the week and they gave us one for free! Room was great, pool was beautiful on the balcony. Just overall a great stay.

Have to give this rate as after traveling 16hrs find our room had been CANCELLED with no notification. We booked via a pay on arrival deal only to find it had been cancelled as when it was booked card was active however after a year our bank card had been updated they refused to take new card and explanation. They booked us a room at a much higher price on arrival that we paid for in full before given key. Room was great however at day of us checking out we find that they charged us AGAIN for our room taking over £1400.00 taking our travel account OVERDRAWN. Holiday Inn refused to refund an we had to travel home another 20hrs with no money. We got refund 16days later. Watch out for these people not impressed.

I had a bad experience here a few years ago, but upon coming back, the lounge was really happening, the staff were attentive and helpful, and there a couple of good eateries within walking distance. It's not exactly in the heart of the French Quarter, but the couple of parks right across the street are nice enough. If you don't mind walking, the French Quarter is certainly a fairly easy walking distance. We daily walked the entire French Quarter to the edge of the Marigny for Frenchmen Street and the U. S. Mint without any problem. Safe, clean rooms, outside pool, if not a little tucked away from main attractions.

The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The hotel and rooms are modern and clean. The pool area is beautiful. Location is perfect. Away from the pricey french quarter hotels and noise, but a quick walk there. About 7-10 mins to bourbon St. Hotel food is delicious! I highly recommend this hotel.

Room was nice. 17th floor with a view of the NO skyline. Above the pool. Very friendly staff. Better than expected after reading some mixed reviews. We stayed 1 night. Walked to & from the Smoothie King Center for the Journey/Asia concert. But we didn't walk alone. GPS was wayyyyy off so know where you are going ahead of time. I booked my room online & got the best rate in town no doubt. It is $30 to park but others were even higher. The trolley passes right in front of the hotel which I highly recommend during peak times to avoid further $15> parking fees downtown.
Will def stay here next time in town.

This Holiday Inn appears to be a recently remodeled 1960s/1970s structure and is in the middle of a transitioning neighborhood (some nearby construction, but still many surface parking lots in the area). The streetcar passes by the hotel and has a stations about a block and a half away in either direction. While the hotel pool was closed during my visit, it looked like it would be a refreshing respite on toasty days. The lobby was small, but nicely decorated and the lobby bar/restaurant appeared to be popular. Rooms were more modern than what I’d normally expect from a Holiday Inn, which helps keep this hotel a competitive option in this market. I would certainly consider staying here again. Walking distance from both the Poydras Street and Tulane Avenue streetcar stops.

We were hosting a small academic conference in New Orleans, and the Holiday Inn proved to be an ideal location. Compared with other hotels, they were exceptionally affordable. Once we began planning, the personnel were helpful, flexible, and friendly, assisting us through all we needed to do to put on a great weekend. The meeting rooms were a good size for the breakout groups, and the banquet room was perfect for our keynote addresses. The location is walking distance from the French Quarter and many world class restaurants. At the end of the meeting, everyone enthusiastically suggested returning to New Orleans soon.

Stayed in room 1724, the accommodations are modern and acceptable until late it comes the the lavatory. Very dated and in need of fixture updates. Elevators seem to run a bit slow. Had to get my room key re-magnitized three separate times and eventually replaced. Aside from that the stay was enjoyable and the staff was attentive to needs. Check in 2as painless and the hotel is centrally located. Uber drivers know right where it is and are always plentiful. My "homebase" holiday Inn express is definitely more enjoyable though.

I had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn. One thing that I was upset by was when we landed the front desk said no early check ins. She didn't even check to see of there was a room available. Okay, cool, no problem. We went and ate at the hotel restaurant (pass on the nachos, fake cheese). When we were done we walked around and came back about an hour later this man was saying how him and his family taveled and they needed a room. Boom his entire family had their rooms even though there was no early check in. So that's two rooms that are no available. I ask the new woman at the front desk and she got us right in. So either the first woman didn't care to check bc she was getting off work, or there were no rooms. The restaurant is a hotel restaurant. The wall to burbon st. Isn't bad at all.

It was a wonderful experience. Pool was great, staff was friendly and the room was really nice. Only issue was that the turned the water off our last day, but it was to upgrade their pipes, so when you go, they should have an excellent water system! I look forward to staying here the next time I'm in New Orleans!

A large albeit slightly impersonal hotel. Superbly located it's a short walk to Bourbon Street, which I comfortably undertook alone in the wee small hours without any hesitation. I pretty much walked everywhere but if you're not as energetic the public transport links are great and there are always cabs. The rooms are large and if you manage to get one of the higher floors you'll find the views spectacular. I had minimal interaction with staff but what I had was friendly and courteous. I was certainly impressed that one of the maintenance staff ran to hold an elevator for me when I would have gladly waited for the next one!

The rooms are really nice and clean. It has a lot of great amenities and the front desk staff is helpful.

Very nice hotel but I was very disappointed in the customer service from management staff. My refrigerator was not working the first night therefore, food items I brought with me to the hotel had to sit out overnight. Management replaced the refrigerator the next morning and considered fair compensation a free breakfast? I made it clear that in addition to that there should be a discount on the room cost for the inconvenience of not having a commenity that was supposed to be included in the room. A discount was given of $10 per/person total $20 (2 ppl in room). That was not enough compensation based on the cost of fruit and sandwich meat, which I made them aware I had. Management staff did not seem very concerned that they inconvenienced a guest. No matter how nice the hotel customer service is especially for a hotel that costs approximately $200/night. I have no plans of staying at this hotel during my future visits to New Orleans.

Newly renovated, and I had a great view. It could be in a better location for sightseeing, but the hotel was very clean and my stay was great.

Rooms are nice if a bit small and the service was good but unremarkable. The location would be fantastic for events at the Superdome or Smoothie King Center but not so much for walking the French Quarter.

The stay at the Holiday Inn was great and it is well-positioned to see the French Quarter/Burbon Street and other popular places. The room we stayed in was in excellent condition (no weird smells or strange discomfort with the bed or anything). The hotel staff was amazing too. We told some of the housekeeping ppl this was our first vacation to NOLA and they told us some useful places to eat/see. My only minor complaints are 1) Wi-Fi gets really crappy during prime-time 2) parking fee per day is so expensive ($30/day is ridiculous so look into that superdome parking others recommend BEFORE checking in to the hotel to see if that works for you b/c we never used our car anyway since everything is within walking distance that we wanted to see) and 3) no free breakfast (there is another Holiday Inn place a few blocks away that may have had free breakfast). Overall, though, very happy with this hotel.

Hotel deserving, friendly and clean, however my experience was humiliating, 2 times out of 5 days I had blocked the key card for the room.

Friendly. Have to pay for expensive breakfast if you want one & no coffee in lobby. I even asked about coffee in lobby. This should be there! Complimentary toiletries if you forget. Free computer / printer in business center. Have to pay to park. $$$. Expensive hotel. Nice. Few blocks from bourbon st area. Quiet. Heated outdoor pool.

For 3 stars a great Hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. A coffee maker, a microwave and a refrigerator are part of the room. Food is delicious. The Bar closes unfortunately already at 23 o'clock. Very friendly staff.
