This hotel was really great. Our family stayed 2 nights and it was super enjoyable. It is directly across the street from Mall of America which you can walk to. Our room was nice and clean, and spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 younger kids. Downsides to the room were there being no bathtub (shower only) in the super nice, freshly renovated bathroom, and that despite there being a bar fridge in the room, there was no microwave (to heat up the things we had tossed in the fridge! ). Otherwise there was literally nothing I could complain about. The pool area is FANTASTIC, with a pool deep enough to actually swim in (9ft in the deep end). The hotel is large enough to wrap entirely around an outdoor courtyard, giving a really comfortable and safe place to hang out. Though it's from a smaller menu, they actually have 24 hour room service, which I rarely see. All staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommend this place.

The room was comfortable, and the hotel was very conveniently located near the airport. There's a free shuttle service to and from the airport every half hour, which was very helpful. There's a restaurant and conference rooms on the first floor. All the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are a little outdated, but there were signs indicating they will be remodeling soon. I'd recommend staying here, especially if you want to be near the airport!

The staff has always been very nice. The restaurant has very good food. It is right across the street from Mall of America. The hotel is willing to take you there and pick you up. The rooms are nice I wish they had a microwave instead of just the refrigerator. The only thing negative I can really say about this hotel is the layout is like a maze. It is very confusing and you have to walk quite a distance pulling your bags on carpet. There are some elevators that don't go to all the floors and then you find yourself at stairs. This part is very frustrated. They do have a nice little store for you to buy things that you may need or want to snack on. The this Lobby is very nice and large.

This is such a disappointing Marriott. I have stayed in the past so I know some rooms may be nice and renovated. This stay however I walked in to my room and didn't even want to put my things down. Stained furniture, giant stain on the carpet, garbage on the desk, greasy finger prints on the glass surfaces. Called for a room chang. 40 minutes later they moved me to a better room but really not a whole lot better. Water coming out of the faucets was rusty. Garbage all throughout the hallways, elevator also had garbage and an empty glass in it. I stay at Marriotts often (pilot) and this is definitely not the normal high standard I see from them. I won't return to this one.

Probably the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. Dingy, dated and dirty. My AC was broken, maintenance guy did his best but commented the units were old and freeze up often. Really? Go elsewhere when choosing a MSP hotel. Have to add… the maintenance employee went above and beyond to help me. Sorted out a new room when the front desk told me there was none available and helped me with my luggage to the new room. Great employee there. Make him a manager!

Messed up our reservations, don't have adjoining rooms, put us on opposite ends even though we were a group. Pool had way too much chlorine and had to drive around lot until someone left in order to find a parking spot. Free Wi-Fi sucked and had to pay for higher speed. The breakfast was the best part of the stay.

One of my favorite airports in the country. The shopping and food make it easy to find something to do if you're delayed or arrive at the airport early. Now this airport is huge and the terminals are widespead. Make sure you manage your time for walk to your gate.

It's a fairly nice Marriott which is located close to Mall of America and the Minneapolis Airport as well as an Ikea outlet. It's an older establishment which could use a few upgrades. ALL in all the price is reasonable and close to many attractions so you get what you pay for. Wish they would have had a continental breakfast.

When I think of Marriott, I associate the name with a higher level of service, atmosphere, cleanliness and quality. None of these aspects fit this particular hotel. I was greatly disappointed by my experience at this hotel. Mostly all down to how outdated, grungy, dirty and run down it is. I would closer associate it to an older Super 8 than a Marriott brand property. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling off everywhere, the trash can looked as though somebody vomited on the outside, the vents on the heater were stuffed full of dust and the glasses int he room were dirty. The ceiling had been partially painted in spots as though their was some water damage, but couldn't take the extra time to repaint the entire ceiling, their were marks all over the walls and still painters tape around some of the door trim from god knows how long ago when they poorly repainted the trim. The concierge lounge was ok, however the food selection was minimal as though they were getting by on the cheap. I book my hotels particularly around the lounge and was disappointing by both the breakfast and the nightly food selection. With so many other newer hotels int he area, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere and save yourself the disappointment I experienced.

I arrived at the hotel for a Red Hat weekend event early, so I thought I would have a light lunch and read my book. It was too dark to read, but it was a pretty restaurant. I ordered a small turkey sandwich and coffee.
The total was $21. 84, and I was just reaching for my card when I saw a man approach the group of 4-5 service staff. I guessed him to be the Manager. One of the servers asked him how late he would have to stay that night. The man told him, "Oh, they will be out of here by 10, they won't dance long. " "Who do they dance with? " "Each other". That caused some laughter. The man repeated, "they'll be gone by 10 or 10:30 — they're all 80 years old"! Suddenly I heard whispering — since I had laid a large red hat on the table, and was wearing a purple dress, it must have occurred to the server to tell this man to Shut Up!
I laid $22. 00 with my check and left a note telling them I was only 72, I stay up past 10 every night, and perhaps he should learn not to talk about guests of the Hotel when they are in his very expensive, and not very good, restaurant.

The hotel layout is rather large, however they have everything you could ask for. The gym is huge and well equipped and the heated indoor pool is great year round. As is typical Marriott, it's a nice hotel. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms are a touch smaller than I'd like, but should be fine for most. I did notice that the thermostats in two rooms I stayed in each only warmed the room to about 3 degrees below what was set. The coffee in the room is, frankly, horrible. Even for hotel coffee, this is bad. Staff is great and very friendly. There is a sundry that has the basics. They offer a free shuttle to the Mall of America at the top of the hour. Overall, a very viable option for an overnight night near the Mall.

In serious need of an update, especially so for an upscale brand. Had some issues with the room but they were resolved. Layout is really odd. It's clear that wings were added here and there. Common areas had very wide hallways near the conference rooms, but the hallways going to guest rooms were claustrophobic and narrow. It's next to the airport but still 10-15 minutes away. Next time I'm in the area, I will search for alternatives.

Stayed the night for a professional event and was extremely dissatisfied. Service was great but this hotel is a MAZE! The double bed room was tiny. This hotel does not have Wi-Fi for free. 10 bucks a night for the slowest speed. The rooms walls were so thin I could hear the alarm in the room next to me. Also being right next to the airport all you heard in the morning was planes taking off and landing. Event space was nice. Needs some updates to the retro carpet. It was also FREEZING!

We missed our flight by about 2 minutes to Toronto because of inclement weather. A nice man took us in the electric cart from one side of the airport to the other but to no avail. Deb at the Delta Help Center was very pleasant, calm & quickly put us on an Air Canada flight leaving @ 6:30 in the morning. She managed to find our bags & assured us they would make our plane in the morning. Thank goodness for the Delta toiletry kit she gave us as we could brush our teeth. There was a huge line as we were leaving so we felt fortunate to be on oir qay to a hotel. We like the Minneapolis airport. People are very happy to help. Thanks!

The breakfast was delicious however high priced. Nice shower, fridge in room, no complaints.

I just finished my review on Google for this particular Hotel I travel every week for work and have been in every state except Mississippi in the last 13 years. I've been to this particular Marriott many times… it is definitely in need of a facelift! I'm on the third floor this week and another guest and me got off of the elevator and noted how absolutely horrendous the mildew and mold smell was I have been in better hotels in New York that were many grades below what this place is! It smells like right now in the third floor so badly… it is absolutely atrocious! I would say until they get this place fixed, do not stay here and I've never said that about any Marriott property Nationwide!
The guest I was walking down the hallway with said yes this place is in major need a facelift and we both agreed we wouldn't be staying at this particular one perhaps we'll check out the Courtyard Marriott down the street!

Bed was comfortable. Room was very dingy and old. The bathroom walls were cracking. The toilet seat was stained and falling apart. Both the shower and sink had very little water pressure. If I was blindfolded and asked what hotel I was in, based on the condition of the bathroom, I'd guess a seedy motel on the side of a deserted highway. Also, the entire hotel is a maze. You need detailed directions and need to take specific elevators to reach the rooms. Very confusing.

Staff is very friendly (with the exception of late night front desk) The hotel has such a weird set up. I checked in late because of delayed flight. I was already struggling with full hands and I was put in a room that required me to walk all the way on the opposite end of the hotel to get to my room. Which is a far walk. This area of the hotel looks very outdated. The banquet staff is very professional and friendly. The AV guy helped us with our meeting more than was required of him. My only complaint really is the set up of the hotel and the late night front desk staff. He seemed bothered with my presence and when I told him of an error in the cc auth he offered no assistance with trying to help figure it out. Just pure laziness.

We attended the Marfan Gala on April 22. The event had been scheduled for the Ramada right next door which at the last minute was sold and closed.
We were lucky enough to find space at the Marriott. They were excellent to work with. They matched everything that the Ramada offered.
The staff at the Marriott were great. Everyone I saw greeted us with a smile and welcome. Even as far as the person who was putting the towels on all of the chairs and lounges around the pool the next morning.
I fully believe that the event turned out to be better than it would have been at the Ramada.
Thank you one at all at the Marriott

I have always loved this hotel for the location, the comfort of the hotel & the staff. We were very disappointed with our latest stay. We booked 2 nights, one on the way out, one on the way back. Even though they gave us a card to get a ride back from the airport, when we called, they said they didn't have us down & acted like they would not come get us. There was confusion for our booking & we were told by the manager he hated 3rd party bookings & we should just book through the hotel. As a paying customer we were completely insulted as either way we ARE paying to stay in YOUR hotel. We waited at the pick up spot at the mall 15 minutes past what they said, called the hotel & the driver was just leaving the hotel. Very cold night to be standing outside an additional 25 minutes, he seen us standing there & stopped about 3 buses before us to make us walk to him. Very disappointing stay for 3 couples. The staff can make or break your experience, the 1st night was great. Different staff the 2nd night.

I will never stay at this hotel again. I stayed there for 3days and the customer service sucked. Safi obviously has a hearing problem because he told me I didn't have a reservation. After 15 minutes and once I pulled up my email showing I did have a reservation he said it was my fault because I gave him a wrong last name. Dude are you serious. After I checked out I go online today to find out I have been charged again for what I have no idea so I called and asked to speak to a manager and was told they have to call me back after they find out why I was charged 752. 00 for a 3 night stay one of which was free and I used points. And the room was 89. 00 a night. They customer service there was not good. The reps are rude and I will never stay at this place again. The rooms were not cleaned to standard I don't know when the last time the glass was cleaned in the bathroom. It was dusty as hell. I also would not use the fridge since it didn't get cold. The manager Todd called me back since I started this review to say I didn't stay the days I stated. WHAT! OMG he is just as incompetent as his staff. Unbelievable! Never again this location gives Marriott a bad name and that over priced restaurant needs to be shut down. 12. 00 for 2 pancakes and 2 strips of bacon. Get real I can eat at any breakfast serving restaurant and pay less than that with eggs and a drink added.

It's also very convenient to the airport and nearby business parks. However, aesthetics are lacking and the guestrooms could use an upgrade. However, I was called back the very next morning by Christine, front desk supervisor, the next day to say that this property would not honor the rate I was booking on the website before it crashed. I am a Platinum member and travel each week. This is the WORST customer service, provided by Christine, ever by Marriott and I would not recommend EVER staying at this hotel. To be fair, I do have a call in to Todd, the GM. He is out today and I am hoping he rectifies this situation. I will update this review based on how Todd handles this situation.
