When you try to run hot water for a shower, you can barely get a trickle because the control is set up backwards. As you open the faucet you come to the hottest water first but it comes very slightly. If you advance it you get nothing but cold water. It was disappointing.

Bathroom wasn't very clean, AC wasn't working very well, but it thankfully wasn't that warm out.

Room was cold not recommended.

The ceiling in our room had horrible water damage, we were on the 5th floor and the whole thing smells of weed. There is a lot of work that needs done here. We’ll definitely stay somewhere else next time we come.

I was surprised that the room was big. Nice size bathroom. But I wouldn’t bring my family anywhere near this areas of town. By far the most lower class environment of people in this place. Security is patrolling the parking constantly and found rig needle caps all over the room and grounds of hotel. Really an uneasy feeling…

We used their park and ride to the airport and did not stay at the hotel. We were dropped off later than planned and on our return to their establishment to get our vehicle we wound up having to wait 55 minutes for a ride. They are 8 minutes away. I would highly recommend wasting time or money here.

They changed our reservation which we made last summer to a Super 8 because they now house the homeless. The Super 8 was ok but not great — we have gone to the Comfort Inn for 15 years and very disappointed with this change.

Making this a safer location and not having a facility full of transients in this once great location. Will advise the company that I work for, not to utilize ths location in the near future. I no longer feel safe here!

Worst staff I have ever had in my life. We requested no housekeeping because of covid, but asked the front desk for toilet paper and were told they don’t have any and that we should have had housekeeping come in. Only employee that provide good customer service was shuttle driver.
Reaked of marijuana our whole stay, fruit flies, phone never worked, remote for tv, and door between our room and next room was open when we came back from dinner. I hope they get some customer service training. I wouldn’t go back there even if the room was free.

A great variety at breakfast for all tastes.

The front desk staff messed up our reservation, charged us more than the price we booked it at, and then “misplaced” my wife’s iPad. The General Manager Carmen has taken ZERO responsibility, ignoring our voicemails and those of their corporate office, providing us with absolutely no resolution. If you want a place that provides convenience and basic customer service, I would suggest staying elsewhere. If you want a hotel that openly steals from its guests, blatantly lies and then avoid responsibility, this is the hotel for you!

Great location great restaurant Outback Steakhouse.

Horrible terrible place! I booked a 2 double bed room. I got here and they gave me a king, and eithout even telling me they switched my rooms. Then said too bad your child will just have to sleep on the floor. No I am sorrys, no refunds, no other rooms. What a rip off. Do not waste your time!

This hotel is huge with quick access to the interstate and mall of America. Loved the breakfast and large pool area. Very clean hotel with quiet hallways. Also offers shuttle services to the airport and mall.

I wish they were more organized as we checked in they gave us room number with someone already occupied on it. Opened the door with our key & the guy was inside. Other than that place is clean & spacious with nice pool.

One of the front desk clerks was really friendly and really helpful! (Shout out to Shawn @ the front desk! ) Our room was very clean upon arrival, the shuttle service to the mall was great, and the attached Outback restaurant was great!

This is so convenient for traveling. It's close to the Mall of America and if we come early enough, we can run over to see what's new. I like that they have a 24 hour shuttle to both airport and Mall of America. The rooms are comfortable and modern and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

The pictures online were definitely better than in person! Our room was on the 3rd floor located on a corner by the elevator. We had other guests outside our room well after 12:30 am making noise and laughing. The air conditioner in our room would not stay on and it got very warm every 30 mins or so when the wall unit shut off and I had to get up and turn it to off and then back to cool. I will say that when I made the noise complaint it was handled right away. I heard a security guard come up and handle it instantly which was really great! The beds are only full size which isn’t the end of the world but when you’re used to sleeping in a king sized bed it feels a bit cramped. The beds are also SO UNCOMFORTABLE I am writing this at 1:40am since I am unable to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. Both beds are hard and you can feel the springs in them. We come from WI to Minnesota every few months to go to the mall. We will definitely never be staying here again! Don’t waste your money, people!

Star rating based primarily on location and service. It was close to the airport and the mall of America so we went to both. All the staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and in good repair, though nothing upscale. I did sleep well, it was quiet etc. Pool was clean, towels were always in stock and not horrible busy. Continental breakfast had a good variety and I was surprised by that. I've stayed at much more expensive places with less. Bottom line, I stayed he twice now and would have no second thoughts to staying again myself or recommending. If you want fancy with water slides etc this isn't it. This is simple good value for your money.

I booked a room for my husband and daughter who were on a trip. His wallet was lost/stolen. I called to see if there was anything we could do, like emailing him the confirmation code. Big fat NOPE! Ok I get it no photo ID no room. However instead of being given a solution he told me "I have to go, 300 rooms and only 1 guy working. " Guess we are out of money and out of luck! I will never book there again!

This is a convenient and friendly place to stay as we travel around the Midwest. It is close to the airport in Mpls and has 24 hour shuttle service. We like to turn our rental car in the night before, get picked up at the airport by the shuttle, sleep overnight at the hotel, and shuttle back to the airport in the morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the pool often has people in it. The breakfast room is adjacent to the pool so breakfast is relaxed. There is also a shuttle to Mall of America although we have never taken it, some people stay in this hotel for that reason.

Very displeased with our stay at the comfort inn, we were travelling to see the baseball game and were told the fastest way to get there was by the metro. And they had a free shuttle to the mall of America where the metro started. When we got back to the last stop at the mall of America we did not get dropped off in the same location as we had originally got dropped off at. (they did not tell us that it wouldn’t be the same place) and Nobody around could help us find where we needed to go so we started walking to the closest building we could (a hotel) so we asked that hotel if we could borrow there phone to call our shuttle. Because we were lost and had no idea where to go. Call the shuttle services number and they say they only pick up at there specific locations and I explained we didn’t know how to get back to where we got dropped off. And they told me that it wasn’t there problem. So I asked if I was supposed to then call a cab and they proceeded to hang up on me. It was a 6 minute drive from where we were to the hotel. Needless to say we will not be returning to this location. Rude customer service.

Sticky floors in lobby, in elevators and in bathrooms! Dirty dingy hallways with spiders and cobwebs. Beat up, banged up furniture.
The toilet in our room does not work. The maintenance guy tried to fix it, unsuccessfully.

It wasn't my first choice but it was good for the price that we paid. Their breakfast is delicious and the it's a great location. The pool was clean and the babies enjoyed splashing around with us. We even used the exercise room which is small, only three machines but it was also very clean and nice. The room was clean as well. Some minor details like the elevator walls and the size of the TV could be better but overall we enjoyed our stay. Only $80 to book a room with two double beds for a night. Also they are very flexible with check-out time.

The check in/out process was super fast and the room was clean. The pool was awesome and breakfast was great everyday! I love that the hotel is attached to an Outback Steakhouse and the location is so convenient for travel to the airport, mall and other local places. We would definitely stay here again! Loved staying on the top floor because my 2.5 year old son was super excited when planes would fly in and out of the airport.

Very helpful and friendly, and convenient to getting to the airport. Shuttle runs 24hrs which is awesome. Clean and comfortable rooms!

Was able to park my big rig here with no problems, which is great. Room was clean and staff was very friendly. It was great having the connected Outback. My only complaint is none of the vending machines worked properly for snacks and drinks, and there's not a convenience store in walking distance so they should really maintain the machines better.

Great location. 5 minutes from IKEA and Mall of America. Decent 2 star hotel with breakfast and other amenities included. Satisfying experience.

This was decent, especially for the price. Pool seemed clean, good temp of water and breakfast was tasty. Was a standard comfort inn, exactly as expected.

Close to the bustling city, Mall of America within 5 minutes drive. Hotel itself is good. Other than a small mishap with my room everything else was good. There's a free shuttle to the airport. There's a restaurant in the hotel. The hotel complex has many options like Marriott and others in there. Great location, great view too.

Horrible stay, mini fridge didn't work, called front desk for another blanket nobody showed up after calling 3 more times that night. A woman by the name Deborah was very rude on phone.

We seldom write reviews. In setting up our recent park/stay and fly trip we read reviews on several hotels around MSP. We chose the Comfort Inn Airport in spite of several less than stellar reviews that can be found online. We always seek lower cost accommodations and expect little of them. We found this Comfort Inn to be the best of this type we have stayed at for a long time. The desk staff was excellent. We dealt with the same fellow on both ends of our trip. He was excellent; among the most pleasant and helpful desk clerks we have dealt with. We are basically looking for a place to sleep for 8-10 hours when we are exhausted with little concern for amenities. The room was clean, neat and quiet. The continental breakfast was excellent; more like a breakfast buffet with multiple options. The airport shuttle was prompt and on time for our 4:30 AM ride to the airport. Upon our return near midnight in a heavy April snow storm, it may have taken the shuttle 30 minutes to arrive in truly bad road conditions. The driver dropped us at the front door and took the rest of the passengers directly to their cars in the on premises park and fly lot. The only negative is to be found in the telephone reservation system, wherever that is. The agents spoke perfectly correct English but with heavy accents, making it difficult for this old man's ears to understand them.

Great lobby, pool, common areas, breakfast room by the pool… Halls are dark and narrow and stairs (I use stairs a lot) not as nice as some. The room was great though and we got a good value. It was called a sure and want really but that's ok.

The staff was very nice. The shuttle to and from the mall was convenient. Our room was clean. I would stay here again!

My daughter's flight was late getting in (Delta had issues! ) and she missed her connection flight. Stuck in a strange town, she broke down and didnt know what to do. I called from Michigan and reached this hotel. Laura at the front desk was amazing! She assisted me with booking a room on a very busy night, offering the shuttle to the hotel. My daughter was relieved and as a parent I was finally calm knowing my daughter was safe. The customer service was outstanding and KUDOS to Laura for making a difficult situation a relaxing-safe-experience!

This hotel should defentetly upgrade to 5 star hotel, hard to belive its a 3.8 when service is off the roof, and rooms are just so comfy that I wanted to stay another night but needed to go back home. Thanks and will be staying at you're hotel every single year like I have before when I go visit mall of America once a year. Ill see you again this summer. Thank you for being friendly and keeping those rooms comfy and great price. And let the housekeepers know that when I asked for directions to a place I wanted to go, they didn't hesitate and where really friendly.

Stayed one night for shopping trip. It's just a couple minutes from the Mall of America and Ikea. Nice room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. Friendly staff who found us a room available at 11:30 am! We'd definitely stay again.

We went to the outback steakhouse attached to the comfort inn. It was a typical outback steakhouse experience. The service was great, and they were great with our one year old. The food was what you would expect… Passable, but I would only go there if it was the only place someone else would go — which happened to be the case. We met people staying at the hotel.

Don't let the older brick or stuffy elevator fool you, once you get too your room, this hotel really shines. Comfortable, great value, and a surprisingly decent breakfast. I would stay again, great airport hotel.

Flight was cancelled and I had to find a hotel with shuttle. The original front desk guy Phil was wonderful, the shuttle driver was also great. Then I got to my room, that was a different story. First thing I see is a bug crawling on the pillow! Disgusting. I call down and they say they would move me. I go downstairs and am confronted by I believe Gary. He says he got me a room across the hall from the bug room. I wanted something a lot further than the one with the bug but that offended him. He then yelled at me and put his fingers in my face that bed bugs are not big. I proceeded to ask for a ride back to the airport and a refund.

The front desk workers were very friendly and helpful, and the room was warm and clean. The breakfast was fresh and the coffee was great. My only regret is that I didnt bring a swim suit.

This hotel is the worst hotel I've stayed at. We had nothing by problems since walking in the door. The check in process took over 20 minutes when we got up to the front desk. We and another couple we are traveling with wanted to split it up between two cards. They could not do it. We had to switch rooms because our heat, safe, and TV weren't working. The beds are super tiny and the customer service is terrible. We are staying here right now and were not offered any kind of compensation or refund for the trouble we've experienced. Pay extra and go to a different hotel!

We stayed here and had a great experience. Our room was clean and quiet. I don't know why people are saying the shuttle parking is confusing, because the lot is directly behind the hotel (parking is about $10 a day). The shuttle drivers were also nice and friendly! *Be sure to get a card with a phone number to call, for when you arrive, from your shuttle driver. * When we arrived back at MSP, we called the number and only had a 5 min. Wait! The shuttle driver was extremely helpful in giving us advice on how to get back on the highway, he even dropped us off right by our car! We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay. The room was very clean and the staff were wonderful and accommodating. We took advantage of the free shuttle service daily. The location was great; 5 minute drive to the mall and other nearby shopping. The hot breakfast was good, and there was always plenty of food for all the guests. Having the Outback Steakhouse in the hotel was another great plus that we took advantage of a couple of times. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Beds were comfortable and pool cleam. No cable TV no on demand even though the TV has a whole channel devoted to ordering on demand movies. Heat never worked in the room. My room was so double executive suites but it was nothing like a suite. No dresser for clothes, just two small drawers under the microwave. It was really just a double bed room. Part of the wall was missing above the closet.

Breakfast was amazing! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Nice and clean. Free shuttle to the mall whenever you wanted to be dropped off or picked up.

The staff was very friendly but that would be the only reason why I'd go back. The light fixture was completely broken, our phone in our room wouldn't work and we could not call the front desk. One afternoon when we returned to our room, the door was held open by the deadbolt. Anyone could've walked in. Also, apparently the hotel updated the room locks the the card key style. Ours didn't work. We had to get someone from the front desk to let us into our room every time. Like I said, the staff was very friendly and helpful and made every attempt especially with the shuttle to and from the mall and light-rail; but they would be the only reason why I'd return. The physical hotel needs some TLC. As far as going on a holiday and being worry free… probably wouldn't go back.

I am so impressed with this hotel! Of all the options for our trip to the Mall of America, this was the cheapest rate, so I assumed we'd get a regular run of the mill hotel room stay. The room is well laid out with very nice furniture and updated outlets (most have two regular plugs plus two USB ports for charging devices). The bathroom is lovely, with open shelves on either side under the counter. Everything is very clean and the room smells good. Staff were very helpful and we look forward to using their Mall shuttle service tomorrow. For a bargain rate we got an excellent value here.

Great location. Reliable shuttle service. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds and pillows. Room was stuffy. The noisy fan ran all night and it was still stuffy. Same with bathroom, much condensation that took a long time to clear. Continental breakfast was adequate, nothing special. Very reasonable rates.

I chose to stay here because it had a nice swimming pool and was close to the Mall of America and my family. It was for one night. Breakfast was pre-made cheese omelets, bacon, make your own waffles, cereal, muffins and bread. Staff was friendly and helpful. Outback Steakhouse was attached to the hotel. Pool was nice size even went to 8 ft deep my kids like that. They offered a free shuttle to the Mall of America every 30 minutes great to fry the shuttle and not drive. Overall a very nice stay.

Was told on the phone it would be $109 a night during a 3 night stay and they put a $500 hold on my card. Room was decently clean, although bathroom smelled slightly like mildew. Checked in at 3 and we're hanging out in the room around 5 when THEY CHECKED SOMEBODY ELSE INTO OUR ROOM! Their key worked and everything. Told the front desk and only got an "I'm sorry". Second day during our stay we came back from the mall and both of our keys no longer worked and when we went to the front desk, the woman working the front desk, who was the same lady who checked me in laughed in my face and asked for ID. Went to the attached Outback and the service was great, but the food was horrible. I'd suggest eating in the mall or something. I'd also suggest keeping the do not disturb sign on your door, especially when you're not there, the maids definitely steal. Breakfast was decent. Some of the staff was absolutely wonderful though!

Hotel was nice and clean. Some minor inconveniences, ice machine and vending machines were in odd locations. Second floor could use some more lighting in the hallway, it was pretty dim. Pool was more for older children, not a pool I would want for a very young child. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating when I lost our room passcards, replacing them promptly. Rooms were clean and had a small fridge and microwave, we were happy with our stay overall. The price if the room was great for our location and the cleanliness of the hotel. We have paid more for hotel rooms that had less and were not as nice. We would book here again without a doubt,
