This is an ideal inexpensive hotel. It's clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My reservations included breakfast and it was a good hotel style continental breakfast. I stay here whenever I come to Wichita.

Place smelled like cigarettes, ac unit did not work, breakfast was minimal and the staff was rude and non helpful. There are nicer hotels in the area that cost the same. Would not recommend staying here.

The renovation is accent walls in the rooms and some have an updated counter top. The fridge was iced up and was actually hot except for the huge wall of ice at the back. The beds were meh. Sheets and pillows were okay. Carpet and drapes were the same they've had since the 90s… Which will explain the intense smoke scent as you enter the side door. It also smells like cat a little bit. Water pressure is good. Everything needs a fresh coat of paint, new fixtures, new everything. Accent walls and identical photo prints above each bed doesn't count as renovation. It was a disappointment.

It took me forever to get checked in. Although by the Marriot, it's spooky. They have put a concrete ledge so you can't drive to the back. Hardly anyone there. Requested a ground level room and put me on the top floor. I'm 64. The gentleman at check-in was nice but I couldn't understand him due to his accent. Outdated. Not particularly clean. Their are better options in this same general area for the same price.

Hotel was clean, quiet, and affordable for our softball weekend. Breakfast started at 5am so it was perfect before the early games.

Very nice, and quiet and was also able to have my animal support dog (with a $25 nonrefundable deposit) with me in room.

Decent place to stay for the money. A bit noisy on the north side, so request a room on the back if sensitive to freeway noise. Otherwise, staff was friendly, it was clean, recommended if you just need a spot to sleep or quick trip.

Spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Booked a room for my aunt and me a few weeks ago, paid up front in full for a whole week. Once given room keys me and my mom and step dad helped up with our bags up to our room. OUR ROOM WAS FILTHY WITH GARBAGE AND NOT CLEANED! I have videos of 5 housekeeping people in that room for 20-30 mins cleaning and I WILL be showing to corporate as they were relaxing and chit chatting with their colleagues. Every room smelled like smoke! Even the non smoking rooms! Breakfast kitchen downstairs was dirty! And check in was 2:00pm?!? Not to mention the big grand finale of the desk clerk following us to our room to ask (for the second time) how many people are staying in the room when my mom and step dad was helping us with bags! Run run run.

Great facility and staff the breakfast was really nice and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone hands down the best hotel I had the pleasure to be at great work Howard Johnson.

Love this place, clean, great staff, affordable. Helpful and willing to accomadate any need you may have.

Awful! The room was fine but anyone can make a room fine. I didn’t feel safe and rightfully so. They cloned my credit card and bought from various sights. The old man there is a pervert too. Caught him looking at very young girls in bikinis on Google. Plus the breakfast was extremely unhealthy and very little option.

Our room was not nice. We had no towels, no extra pillow, no fan. Huge sticky spot on carpet. Beds made with flat sheets, not fitted. We booked 3 nights, our shampoo/conditioner have never been replaced. Our key cards stopped working. Second floor smells like an ashtray. Anyone can get into the building.

Was a great place to stay at after a long flight. No real complaints the staff was great they had me already vhecked in by the time I got there from the airport. The room was a good price and the room was very clean. Will be staying there again.

What can I say cheap clean rooms.

I'm giving the Howard Johnson inner Hotel in Wichita Kansas 01 star because that place is not fit for nobody. Second-floor your it's for people that want to get high and I know it. I learned my lesson that will never happen again.

A pretty scetchy place. Dirty room and bathroom. Pest and bugs everywhere. Fiddle back spiders. Be warned. Stay at the merriot next door.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean.

Very friendly staff, they greeted me immediately and were very polite. I would highly recommend this clean, well taken care of hotel.

It was decent for the price. Got a good deal thru Expedia that included the car rental. The room was actually clean, close to the airport and stores/restaurants which was a plus. Didn't enjoy waking into the lobby smelling cigarette smoke though which would be my most negative comment.

Hallway and lobby smelt real funky, but room was good. Even had an armchair. Wi-Fi a but weak, breakfast perhaps a bit below standard but not bad. Location was good, access easy enough.

The room rate was excellent, and the room itself was very clean and spacious. My only complaint would be the noise level during the overnight hours. For the money a little noise is something I can handle, I will definitely be staying there again.

I went to Howard Johnson to visit a friend who was staying there and I must say I was highly impressed. The desk clerk was great very helpful and accomidating, the rooms word immaculate it was so quiet and peaceful so easy to relax and actually unwind just might 45 minute visit I felt like I was home I was so comfortable.

Staff is surprisingly awesome, except the old men guy who works the days. He is a unpleasant person to steal with.

Our toilet did not work and we received no compensation. Also no elevator and no help getting bags up to second floor. Hard beds. Good side is close to airport and you can leave your car.

Newly renovated and very nice.

If you like housekeeping busting in your room without knocking or announcing themselves stay here. Plus they bring their brats to work everyday and they are all up in the room just hanging out while their parents clean more like talk on their phone and eat thats all I've ever seen them do. And if you want to sleep in forget it because housekeeping's kids are runnin up and down the hallway crying and screaming. And they take over the breakfast area. While it should be for paying customers to enjoy. To hell with this dump STAY ELSEWHERE!

Great Howard Johnson's! Beds were very comfortable, shower head was tall and had plenty of pressure! New TV with fridge and microwave in room! Good breakfast with waffles. Would recommend, wasn't expensive at all! The manager Steve was at the desk when we arrived and checked out. He was very polite, very nice! Next time in Wichita I will be staying here again!

Best bang for your dollar hands downs.

OMG! The bed was ok but the walls were thin as paper! The unit next door had people partying all night long including bouncing off the walls and we actually heard them puking twice then turning on the shower-so beware. Then the unit above had people in and out all night banging the door open and close and using the bathroom all night including the shower. We called the front desk in the early morning to ask for help but to no avail. I would rather sleep in my car in a parking lot than go through another night like that. I absolutely would NOT recommend staying there to anyone-in fact I'm doing my best to let everyone know about the place. It is also located near the highway and once again the thin walls did NOT muffle any noise. Plus the "breakfast" that was included was bagels that sat out at least 24 hours some cereal and some packaged rolls-whoop ti do! My advise is to run as fast as you can from hear.

We have stayed here several times; helpful and courteous staff, spacious rooms and always a good breakfast. Just a few minutes car drive from the airport. No hesitation in recommending this HoJo.

There's really no reason to stay here. There are much cheaper hotels that are just as lousy. The staff were pleasant enough. The breakfast was pretty weak, but well stocked. The beds were reasonably comfy and the place was decently clean. No pool. Free Wi-Fi.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. Out of 3 nights we not once got room service, no one changed our sheets, we had to go ask for new bath towels. We had 3 flat pillows and couldnt get new pillows (i went and bought softer pillows) The bed was hard as a rock, the sheets where itchy. The toilet would flush loud randomly, the room fridge was really loud you can hear through the walls and people walking up and down the stair case. Our room keys quit working so we had to have them reactivated over and over. The front desk people where very unhelpful and unfriendly. Maybe if your just staying for one night its not bad but any longer then that I would pick anywhere else.
