Location is great, right at the beach and trails. Also, I love that they are pet friendly. Even though, I miss a microwave in the room.

We booked this as a last minute trip. What a find! It’s beautiful. Short walk to the beach from our room. They have fire pits all throughout the property. Games available for the family. Room are quiet. Ours had an ocean view. Definitely recommend!

Great location. Needs more local wines from this area not Sonoma.

I love the casual, comfort of this beach ranch, the easy access to town antique shopping and coming home to a cozy fire pit! The staff was amazing And I slept in the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in away from home!

AMAZING place to stay in Cambria. You are directly across from the beach, and the property has fire pits, shuffleboard, and plenty of outdoor areas to hang out and relax in. The street the property is located on is perfect for an early morning bike ride or run (I regret not bringing sneakers! ). The onsite restaurant Canteen was great as well! Food and drinks were stellar, and the ONE employee running the place did an awesome job multi-tasking — — she even still had time to make pleasant conversation with everyone. My room was comfy and cozy, and the bathroom had good water pressure. Staff at the front desk were as friendly as good be, along with the other guests. Overall awesome experience, and I would definitely stay there again if my travels bring me back to Cambria. Thank you team at Oceanpoint Ranch team and keep up the great work!

Spent two days at Oceanpoint Ranch as a b’day getaway with my family. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The property had fun activities and great access to the beach as well as the boardwalk.

Wonderful place for the family or for couples. So close to the water with lots of things to do.

First, I want to say this hotel is beautiful, rooms are very nice and the front office staff were very friendly (thank you for your help Crystal and Zack). My problem was with the way management handled my issue. My card was ran three times for my two night stay due to a error with the hotels computer system. This resulted in me not having access to over $1, 000 I had saved for my family to have a nice weekend. I received no compensation at all, the supervisor did not think I was important enough to speak directly to.
This is horrible management and I want to urge future guest to please make sure they do not run your card more than once. This will most likely happen to you.
My family and I will not be returning and I have filed a fraud claim with my bank against them. We will see if I get my money back but that won't give me my weekend back unfortunately.

Our room was on the end and we had an amazing view of the beach. The room was adorable and comfortable. We went to the beach and used the pool. The pool was a perfect temp and the staff here are really nice. Overall we would stay here again.

I Love how this place felt private and there was a lot to offer.

Stayed here for the first time last weekend and we absolutely loved it! Spacious room with a wood burning fire out. Easy beach access, delicious food at the Canteen and outstanding customer service from Will and Dylan at the front desk. They were both so helpful and courteous! We will definitely be back.

Our room is great! Requested a room with a fireplace and it is well worth it! Cozy for February nights. Outside fire pits as well. You can walk to the ocean in less than 5 minutes. Restaurant next door or you can drive 5 minutes to several other choices. We will be back!

Love this place. Have been staying here for 40+ years. Recently remodeled by current ownership and love the improvements. Only a couple of things need change, and that would be the in room lighting (not nearly enough) and the lack of a full length mirror.

Beautiful location, beach access, forest trees, relaxing fire pits outside, tons of outdoor games, and clean comfortable rooms. Some rooms are dog friendly which was a must have for us. We love this place.

Was not impressed with the service. This facility is way overpriced for the lack of service received. I was booking online and ended up calling to be sure my special requests was noted. I requested a room with a bath tube and not to have anyone above me. I was told It would be noted and if I wanted to continue booking via phone I would still receive the 25% off and a bottle of wine at check-in. Upon check-in I did receive the 25% off but did not receive the bottle of wine, when I asked about it and showed him the prom, I felt that I was putting him out, so I said never mind its not that big of a deal. I got my keys and heading to the room I was assigned. I was "told" 134, Due to a special event the parking was limited so it was a bit of a walk with our luggage, we get to "134" and the keys don't work AND it was in the only two story building on the property and the bottom floor, I had my wife stay with the luggage and walked back to get the keys fixed. Turns out he gave me the wrong room #, its room 138, Not sure if it was still in the same section I didn't mention anything about it being a bottom floor room. I walked back over and went to 138, Yep you guessed it, it was a bottom floor room, we opened the door and was welcomed by a shower "not a bath" like requested. I walked back to the office and asked if I have a special requests on my check-in and he said yes with a surprised look and said if he had any rooms available he would change rooms.

Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Very clean, friendly staff, steps from the ocean cliffs and beach!

Our first visit here over two years ago lasted twenty minutes. Management completely remodeled and this place is now a gem. The staff is courteous and very accommodating, the rooms are comfy and cozy. Highly recommend this place!

Great Ambience, picturesque grounds, the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Just a two minute walk to the beach if that. This is a great place.

We had our wedding here last fall and it was absolutely beautiful! The food at the canteen was also killer! I would highly recommend.

Oceanpoint Ranch has my vote for an amazing place to stay! The staff was on point and very friendly, rooms are very clean and comfortable. The grounds are set up very nicely and access to the beach is super easy. We are counting the days to when we can get back there again.

Beautiful rooms with fantastic beds in quiet rooms. Fantastic views from the beach! Strongly recommended.
If you arrive late, beware that everything closes at 9 pm in the area, no food available after that.

We had such a nice stay here. It was just a quick overnight stay while we drove from SF to LA. The room was clean, stylish, and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious and had nice hot water.

A different in a good way. Small and informal with a varied menu. Drink menu is limited but covers most taste. A great alternative to the big boys down the street.

This place gets 5 stars for the location. It's at the very end of Moonshine beach and it feels peaceful and quiet there. There is a beautiful sunset point across the street and a short trail walk away. Perfect for morning coffee and a sunset photo shoot. To the north is a trail that takes you to the north stairs, I recommend checking the tide charts and time a nice walk at low tide to collect moonstones. The 4 star rating is for the smaller rooms. We think that they offer some larger ones so be sure to ask. We were placed near the lobby and we felt the rooms could have been more like the photos and bigger. Get one on the south end, they have fireplaces. Otherwise a nice place to stay and get away from it all play a little shuffleboard roast some marshmallows and relax.

Totally exceeded expectations. This is a motel done with some style. Great place to stop over night whilst driving done highway one. Roasting marshmallows on an open fire was pretty cool.

Such a thoughtful hotel. Perfect for everyone — couples, families, etc. Lovely gas fire pit circles around the property you can turn on with the press of a button. Quiet, newly renovated rooms with ammenities like USB ports and a safe. Plenty of games such as croquet, shuffleboard, bean bag toss, etc and indoor games to borrow. It has a pool and a path to the beach. Highly recommended. We had a wonderful vacation.

Fantastic location, clean and very comfortable. Only a few minutes away from the elephant seal rookery and Hearst Castle and surrounded by coastal beauty. Live the "corral" area with games for the kids and fire pits to relax by. The room we had was spacious, clean and very comfortable, particularly with the fireplace. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful family friendly place, the farm theme is perfect. The kids love the games, fire pits, and the easy trail access to a spectacular beach setting. The staff is very informative and freindly, always happy to assist in making our stay a memorable experience. We definitely plan to return and strongly recommend Oceanpoint Ranch.

Stayed here as a last minute decision. What a great choice we made, the facilities are clean the rooms are nice beds are comfortable and staff is helpful. I would recommend this place to any traveler. We originally wanted to stay directly across from the ocean but this place was just as good there are trails that take you to the beach with less crowds. Fire pits are great in the evening to finish off an awesome day in Cambria.

Love this hotel! Not your typical hotel, by any means! High vaulted ceilings, claw foot bathtub, wood burning fireplace with wood replenished daily, private walking path to quiet beach. Every detail given attention to. Have thoroughly loved this place and will be returning again as soon as possible.

The place is beautiful. I’ve stayed here in the past when it was under different ownership. These folks are busy with upgrades and improvements. The staff could not be nicer. They cheerfully made a room adjustment to accommodate our needs. Glad we chose to come back here. Great value!

Attractive place, very clean, and close to the water. I greatly enjoyed the comfy bed, but the walls were so thin that I had to take it down to four stars. Could hear conversation pretty clearly from outside Overall, I'd stay again. It's hard to find a place with a bed that comfortable and that's what I'm there for!

We had such a great time and can't wait to go back! The service was great. Paige at the front desk checked us in late on Friday night was very generous with an extra wine key and glasses when we asked. The pool area was very clean and the water was heated. Our room had no neighbors on three sides so we felt like we were secluded in our own little cottage. We definitely use the fire pits in the evening, and the fireplace in our room. Walks to the beach were easy and not overly crowded. We shared breakfast from the cafe before we checked out and it was delicious. I recommend the breakfast sammie. Planning a return trip soon.

This place takes relaxation and convenience to the next level! The location on Beachstone Drive cannot be beat! The property has their own pathway to the beach… the fire pits are something we looked forward to all day… the rooms are super clean and the beds and bedding is so comfortable. And they've opened up the Canteen which serves breakfast and dinner right on their property. Awesome stay here with my daughter!

Absolutely beautiful. Such a calm relaxing spot to walk the beach, pick up rocks and take in yet another gorgeous Central Coast sunset. Great place to meditate early in the morning before the tourists come, although even in the summer time it is not completely over run with tourists. Also, please remember to pack your trash! If you can take it it, you can bring it out. Thanks!

A relaxed elegantly rustic setting on the shores of Moonstone Beach. Staff are great, helpful and cooperative. The newly renovated rooms are great and the beds are comfortable. The available games and fire Rings make this a perfect family spot as well as a vacation getaway. I'm excited that the restaurant is opening soon and will be enjoying that on my next trip there. The only inconvenience that I experienced is that not all rooms have wardrobes to hang clothes for an extended stay.

Very family friendly! Indoor/outdoor games provided, lots of fire pits to make s’mores, and easy walk to the beach. Continental breakfast just ok, but it’s free for now, restuarant is opening soon. Pool is not warm enough to swim in colder months. Hot beverages in the hospitality room all day. Overall great place to stay.

Great location. Across the street from the ocean with great views. There rooms are very comfortable, ours had a fireplace that was already set up with a bundle of wood that was easy to start. The bed was very comfortable also. The grounds have several gas fire pits with chairs to sit. The pool is heated even in February. Along the beach there are beautiful wooden walkways with great views. What else can I say, but we will be back.

I am loath to let the public in on this absolute GEM it's already pricey; I likely will never be able to come back but it will live on in my dreams! Magical place, uncommonly friendly staff, just fantastic Boombastic! (I am still excited writing about it)

Still slightly under rennovation (the continental breakfast will, I think, relocate one the "canteen" is open), but the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We had a lovely back patio with a view of the ocean, and a fireplace with fuel provided for us to have a crackling fire in the chill evening. There is a path that goes down to the beach without having to walk across the busy road. Service was excellent.

The entire staff at Oceanpoint were very welcoming and accommodating. Great property. Renovated rooms with classic California coast style.

I'd say this is a great place but just one that doesn't warrant the rates it charges. You can get just about everything else replicated identically for less at any one of a variety of other options in the area. They are super friendly, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and they have fireplaces, but those three things do not warrant the $260+ per night rate.

It doesn't feel like a motel it's so nice and homey. Very clean. Tons of activities indoor and out. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent room. Modern and updated. Next to a beach (beach wasn't clean — seaweed). They have a nice game room and a couple outdoor game fields (including croquet). They serve decent free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Staff was friendly. Excellent experience overall.

No A/C! We we're really hot in our room… Felt at least 10 degrees hotter inside than out. Free breakfast was very sparse as they upgrade their restaurant. Upgrades to the rooms looks good (see pic). Location is great. Doesn't override the fact that we were really, really hot the whole time.

Last minute cancelation allowed us to get a room on a night where every place in Cambria was booked. Thank goodness as this place rocked. From the customer service to all the amenities offered I can't even consider staying somewhere else. Thanks so much to Marc and Beckie for getting us set up. Will be back as soon as possible!

Beautiful! This hotel was amazing, the fire pits on the property, the activities for the kids on the property which were also for adults like bocci ball, shuffle board, croquet was nice to have… the hotel was beautifully decorated, the property was walking distance from the beach which was either tide pools on one end and a secluded beach area on the southside… stunning! The rooms had a Keurig, coffee pods and Voss water… the continental breakfast was superb, waffle bar along with assorted pastries, teas, juices etc… the staff was very friendly too! Id definitely stay here again!

It's really nice. There's an awesome tidepool near by. The fire pit at night is cool. The hospitality room is fun too.

We will definitely stay here again. Great location, close to Hearst Castle, not too far from Morro Bay, close to where the elephant seals hang out. Rooms were clean and spacious, staff was extremely friendly, free breakfast in the morning. Complentary coffee. Looking forward to coming back.

Went for our anniversary. We wanted a nice quiet place with charm and that's what we got. We loved that we could walk over to a little secluded beach area. The claw foot tub was amazing and the fireplace made for a very romantic setting. They recently renovated and it looks so nice. Not far from the downtown area but not within walking distance. There are many picnic tables near by and fire pits are nice to sit by in the evening when it's chilly. Beautiful place and we will definitely want to come back.

Newly renovated (still working on the pool). Great location at the end of Moonstone Beach Dr. Very cozy and inviting. Features fire pits on property, a rec room, and a path to the beach.

The room had 2 coat hooks in the bath and 1 in the bedroom, no closet, no place to put our suitcases except on the bed or on dresser blocking TV. If the wind blew it whistled thru the door. The bath had no exhaust fan or window. Bedding so heavy (15-20 lb comforter) we had to toss it on floor as there was no place else for it to go. Sink inside bathroom so only 1 can dress at a time. Coffee pot difficult to use because cord was too short to pull unit clear of shelving to fill. The rooms were lacking but premises where very nice.

Former San Simeon Pines. Completely renovated rooms. Needs major boost on breakfast selection.

Easy scenic walk along the beach to the local beachfront restaurants. The pools isn't open due to continuous remodeling. They say that it won't be ready until late 2017. The rooms are cozy and romantic. The new tub was very relaxing. Not really an ocean view from the property but it's an walk across the street.

We absolutely loved our stay at Oceanpoint Ranch. It's a sprawling property, secluded from other inns, yet close enough to Cambria to enjoy everything it has to offer. The walk to the beach and boardwalk was very convenient and easy, and the grounds were great for kids and adults who want to play. After staying at large hotels for three days, we decided this was our favorite because it was so different and welcoming. I might suggest an option for a little more light in the rooms (it can be a bit dark with the shades drawn), and more tables in the breakfast room would've been nice (we took our breakfast back to the game room to eat because all tables were full for some time).

I like this place, the remodel, the open air games for the family, the fire pits, the room. Overall a great stay for our anniversary.

Wonderful experience! This place is many times better than it used to be. The updates look incredible! The same sweet staff is still working, so you really get the best of Oceanpoint Ranch and San Simeon Pines. Don't get me started on those cookies!

Great hotel! Comfortable, well equipped and great location. Our favorite stop during a week down the PCH and remarkably affordable.

This recently remodeled hotel has absolutely amazing rooms, and a very friendly staff. It was such a great experience, we stayed for an extra night! I would gladly recommend it.

I liked it a lot. It was comfortable and nice room. Need modernize a bit but it's nice. The breakfast was good enough. Close to Hearst Castle.
