We loved our long weekend here! Perfect escape while still staying safe (masks, sanitizers, breakfast provided in prepackaged boxes for each room).
Updated motel type concept, super cute and clean room with a fireplace. Dog friendly and just steps to the beach. Took several gorgeous walks on moonstone beach walk.

I’ve stayed twice, loved it! Great location across from the ocean, great views from some rooms, the viewing deck, & office lounge, not a lot of traffic in front of the hotel, nicely decorated rooms, fireplaces are a nice touch, continental breakfast is very good, comfortable beds!

A super cute and relaxing little hotel full of nice little touches. Loads of wildlife in the area and a shoreline with a bunch of awesome lookouts.

The room was amazing as was the locally sourced breakfast. The best part was opening the windows and listening to the waves crash along the shore. I really cannot recommend this place enough!

The beachy design aesthetic is very charming and the spacious ocean front suite they call the 'beachouse' is likely the best room in the house and worth the extra $ if you got it. Dog friendly and the king bed was goldilocks — not too firm, not too soft = just right. Pillow were not super supportive, wish I had looked in the closet — there were down alternatives in there! Still slept very well regardless, with the waves lulling us to sleep. We will definitely be staying here again.

Cambria Beach Lodge is great. We went there in June for an impromptu road trip and booked just one night. We loved so much that we decided to stay a second one. The location is unbeatable: you’re right in front of the ocean! And they provide you with binoculars so you can watch all the sea creatures and birds. That in itself I loved! Aside from that, the room was cozy, cute and great had the basic necessities and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the husband really enjoyed reading in the nice armchair they have in the there. The continental breakfast was spot on: you can have a bite before leaving for an adventure without worrying about looking for food in the morning. And the coffee and tea bar available all day was great when returning in the afternoon and wanting to warm up. We definitely will stay again at Cambria Beach Resort when we road trip south again. PS: don’t forget to use the great bikes to go on a stroll by the coast!

When I arrived (after a 4 hour drive) and saw this mess I cancelled right away and was told I would not be charged, BUT I WAS! I SAW I HAD BEEN CHARGED ON MY BANK STATEMENT SO I CALLED THE HOTEL TO DISPUTE THE CHARGE. They refused to remove the charge — they lied and said I did not show up! stay away! crooks. Check Yelp reviews for it under "Mariners Inn" (previous name but the same owner as Cambria Beach Lodge) you'll see more complaints. Look at these photos as proof. ** Dishonest and Deceitful. ** There are plenty of Other honest hotels to stay in.

Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Loved the gas fireplace and continental breakfast.

We tried the Beach Cottage and the view was great. However I would not stay there again because for the price there are far better accomodations to be had on Moonstone. The cottage did give you a lot of space but it was a lot of wasted space. There was only a minuscule closet in the bedroom in which to store clothes and a couple of shirts a pair of pants and a jacket filled it up so no room for another person. There were no drawers except in the kitchen which is not where you want to put clothes. Room service did not even empty the trash cans on our second day inspite of them overflowing which I don't understand. Beside the view the only other redeeming quality was that it was next door to our favorite restaurant. I gave it 3 stars because they are working on making the place better so perhaps your experience will be better than mine.

Nice, quaint little Inn. My husband booked this place for it’s location on Moonstone Beach and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Perfectly situated, across the street from the boardwalk. The staff was very nice n went above n beyond to gift us a nice red local wine for us to celebrate. Wrote us a nice little note. It was very personal n beautiful touch for our special occasion. The sun deck on the 2nd floor was a great spot since oceanfront view and sheltered us from the gusty winds. We took many beautiful pictures. Memories that will forever be with us. Thank you to the staff that took care of us n accommodated our lil toddler’s needs.

Bed was hard but staff was wonderful. View is amazing from the deck. Perfect spot to go and relax.

This Lodge is right on the beach with accass to a walking path along to coast. The atmosphere was beautifully decorated with my favorite color, teal and orange. Breakfast was available in the lobby where they had pastries, coffee, tea, fruit, and hard boiled eggs. There was also a nice little loundge space to site and look at the view. If I were to visit Cambria again I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in November. Conveniently located, well equipped and clean comfortable rooms and good hospitality. Perfect for couples and a quiet getaway.

Stayed here this weekend and couldn't have been happier with the experience… The staff was extremely helpful, the room very clean, with a fireplace, and even the shower was great (that's important to me) The "light" continental breakfast was way better than anticipated… they put out delicious local bakery items, the most perfect hard-boiled eggs, and really good coffee. Nothing chintzy about the spread… The (amazing) beachfront location was perfect for what we wanted to do as a family: hunt for rocks on the beach, visit Hearst Castle (waaaay better than I thought it would be, btw), and see the elephant seals. For a quick family trip, this was great, but… next time, the hubby and I are coming without the kids and look forward to staying here again. Definitely made a fan out of me!

It was perfect! Directly across the street from the beach and you could tell the moment you checked in that care was given to each room and guest. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable beds and the fireplace heater was a bonus. We will book again.

The room was fabulous — good size, modern and with fabulous touches such as the gorgeous shampoos and soaps. The staff are so friendly, and the breakfast really good, especially the coffee.

Fantastic location with decent prices. Renovated recently and feels fresh. Small gripe, but the TV remote doesn't reach the beds… but honestly we're not there to watch TV and that could be low battery. Overall definitely recommend.

The rooms are recently redone with a campy/ocean vibe and their version of a mini bar stocked with artsy items including the iconic Sex Wax surfboard wax. (See my pic) A beautiful free breakfast is served in the uniquely decorated lobby. (See my pic for details! ) Friendly staff, comfy bed and a ocean viewing deck that's shared by all the rooms. I'll definitely return, and plan on getting one of two rooms with full ocean views.

We just love this place. Very clean, very "beachy" the staff were all great. Cody was welcoming and Jordan was a spectacular host. Made us feel at home.

Absolutely loved staying at this lodge. It's perfectly designed, comfy, and full of little details that make the experience unique. Amazing location where you can see, smell and feel the proximity of the ocean. Rooms are thoughtfully furnished and very clean. Breakfast was a delight — great coffee and freshly baked cakes and croissants, fruit and eggs, jam etc, all that while overlooking the ocean. Won't hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend it!

We had a great mini honeymoon in this quaint beach town. The hotel is small and quiet. There is no AC in rooms but there is heat, AC wasn't needed during our stay. The rooms feel warm, clean, and modern. The morning breakfast included excellent coffee, juice, pastries, fruit, hard boiled eggs. The outdoor eating space is so nice to sit at and take in the Pacific Ocean which is literally across the street. There is great access to the boardwalk.

Good points: nicely done rooms, great location Bad points: too cool for school reception surfer staff, v. Poor breakfast options, extra taxes and overall bit pricey.

They somewhat recently remodeled this place, with all new paint jobs and hardware and delicious homemade healthy breakfast. It's a lot better than it was, and the prices have stayed pretty much the same. I'm impressed! It also has great public sunset viewing areas, which is a critical thing for this beach area. The sunsets are stunning!

Wonderful place. Very peaceful, we had a great night's sleep. Stunning view from the lobby, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are simple and have a nice contemporary design.

For the price, you can do MUCH better. Rooms are tiny, the walls are paper thin, and the on-site parking is precarious. Rooms are cutely decorated, but it doesn't make up for the price to quality ratio. Not by a long shot. I stayed one night there and then one night at the hotel next door, on the same trip (yes I cancelled my 2 night stay with Cambria Beach Lodge and found somewhere else) and for $8 more, I have a room 3 times as large with a sitting area, an ocean view, and a fireplace. Oh, and it's super quiet.

Adorable beach side hotel with simple but modern upgrades. Snack options for the room were cute and tasty. Walking distance to beach, free bikes, and couple food and drink options. The room is small but sufficient and well priced. The bed was very comfortable. Tons of cable options too!

I booked on Orbitz and read that each unit has a refrigerator B it turns out the entire motel is it under renovation. It is dusty and dirty all over. The rooms are not even finished yet.

This property is dramatically misrepresented online. Edit to add that a Hot Tub is listed as an amenity. There is no hot tub. Please be aware that NONE of the images are current, and many of them show room types which are only sold direct. The entire property is under construction, including the lobby which was closed. We were directed to the room next store to I booked a Deluxe room with breakfast and prepaid. We arrived and checked in, heading over to our room. The room itself was clean, but very plain. Honey, I think there might be a mistake — this isn't the Deluxe room I saw online. I walked back and mentioned I wasn't sure we'd been given the right room. I was immediately told that Room 3 is the ONLY deluxe room. I asked then, what is the difference between a standard room and a deluxe room? Apparently the difference between a standard room and a deluxe room is merely that it has been "fully renovated and has all of the decorations. " A bit stunned, I repeated that back to them. Really? That's the only difference? We retired to the room for the evening. Unfortunately my sleep was disrupted several times throughout the night — my hands kept going numb because the beds were incredibly hard. By 7:30am the construction crews started up, with saws and hammers. By 8am I had given up sleeping in and started packing up the room, fed up with the entire thing. At least I could go take a walk on the beach/boardwalk. This calmed my frustration a bit.

Motel going through renovation… NOT a positive experience. 1st room — new paint smell was so strong, we could not stay in it. (both rooms had large gap at bottom of doors. ) 5/8" gap between bottom of doors and thresh hold allowed mice in the room during the might. My sweater was chewed through and is not reparable. Also, mouse crawled into computer bag; when bag was put into trunk, mouse came out… it ran somewhere in the car. Bathroom fan did not work. Location is right across from the ocean, which is great, but the mice in the room, was a definite negative for me.

Trusted the reviews here so we booked a room to spend our 25th anniversary. Once we got there, and overlooked the full roll-off dumpster in the front, we were shocked once we opened the door to the room. The place looked like a murder scene with all the stains on the carpet, the wall had boards screwed in over apparent holes instead of being patched, the room heater was covered by electrical wires, the bathroom sink basin had multiple cracks throughout, somebody else's hair on the bedsheets, no smoke detector installed, door security latch ripped off the door and the restroom stunk of sewage. We weren't expecting this to be a Hilton but we also weren't expecting it to be such a dump. The site said they recently renovated (afraid to know what it looked like before) but what a botched job by whoever did the work. I asked Missy at the counter for another room since this was uninhabitable but she said she didn't have any until I came back and told her I called my credit card company so we were not staying there. (Now I know why an earlier customer was looking for another motel. It wasn't due to Wi-Fi issues which Missy lied to me about. In fact, the Wi-Fi was this place's best attribute). Missy swore that the room was cleaned and the sheets laundered but I don't think it was done since the last customer left. I damn near had to catch up to my feet as they ran out of this place.

My buddy and I stayed there as we were in town for a nice bike ride and can't say enough nice things about the place. The staff was great, extremely friendly and helpful, especially Missy. She couldn't do enough for us to make our stay comfortable… from recommending restaurants to even sending us on our way with some homemade preserves she had made. Enjoy the continental breakfast in the nice lobby/office — — watching whales, dolphins, sea — life. Great pastries, great coffee, best deal for that area too. Plan on coming back soon!
