Nice hotel in the relaxing atmosphere of Cambria, CA. Renovated and updated. Good bargain for the area in a popular tourist area. Relaxing back yard with fire pit, creek and frogs, crickets. Nice get away.

This motel is on the main street of Cambria but not on the waterfront, which is reflected in the price. Our room had two double beds and was clean and roomy. Overall, this place was better than we expected.

I loved this charming little hotel. Wrote a story about our stay and Willow the homeless lady we met at the laundromat. No air conditioning but you don't need it and we were there in August.

What a wonderful place, absolutely loved it! The front desk agent was so friendly and accommodating. Room was nice and clean, very quite and relaxing. Had such a great time staying here. Most definitely will be going back!

Good motel with spacious rooms some with queen two beds and some with king bed. Coffee facility with coffee maker available. Room conditioning with fan and heater. Fridge available. Table with two chairs and one working table as kitchen platform. Ample parking place.

Clean, quiet and affordable. It's within walking distance to JJ's Pizza, Lombardi's and Linn's and many other coffee shops and restaurants. The grounds of the hotel are very nice and provide ample space for sitting outside and just enjoying the space. Comfortable beds.

Like all the other reviews said, very clean, and fresh smelling! I was traveling with my Mom, and we felt very safe! No “Seedy Characters” hanging around! Office staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was very comfortable. Very comfortable bed! We will definitely be back! If your first time visitors to the area, or not! Don’t miss a short drive to Moonstone Beach! My Mom and I ate at the Moonstone Bar and Grill for breakfast! Great view, Great food, and complimentary champagne! We followed with an absolutely amazing walk on the board walk across the street. The end to a perfect weekend!

Very friendly. Clean rooms. Good decor. Nice feel. Also a charming town. Only 7 minute walk to town.

Stayed a night in summer 2014. Called ahead and booked a room. Great and friendly service. Room was nice, cozy and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I called ahead and got a patio. It's not really "private" since you share it with everyone else but it's nice to have. Room was clean and simple. DirecTV is nice. There's no microwave unless you ask but we didn't need it anyway. The fridge is a nice size and the coffee maker works. The furniture looked new and the bathroom is very clean and looks new as well. There's a fire pit out in the patio but it's whoever claims it first, so we never used it. I like that it's in town where everything is, you can even walk to the nearby restaurants in about 5-7 minutes of walking. Plenty of parking at the motel and you can park right in front of your room. We had a nice 3 night stay and for the price you can't beat it. We would definitely come back if we are on a budget and don't want to splurge on hotel amenities.

Really comfortable motel. Recently renovated and a very comfortable bed. What more do you need. Walking distance from town so you don't have to worry about not being able to drink at dinner.

From the scenic views to the great hospitality, everything was 5/5. Would definitely stay here again with my wife sometime in the future when we're visiting. My favorite part was the fact that it is only about 2-3 miles away from moonstone beach! (you can rent bikes from the hotel as a way to stroll over) … Thanks!

This is a typical motel with all the usual fixings. Ground level rooms, dated furniture, and thin walls. That being said, it meet all the expectations you could ask for in a independent motel. Front service desk available late. Hair dryer on request. Clean room and bathroom, which is important. We didn't find air conditioning or heat, but luckily weather was fine. They even had a clock with USB chargers and power plugs by the head of bed. I have no complaints here.

Nothing to write home about. But the locals are lovely. Tiny town. One homeless guy who is really sweet. The motel itself has comfortable beds, decent shower, small TV does the trick. Nice area to sit out back. Overall, nice place.

Decent motel for the price. Needs more counter space in the bath, no place for toiletries except on the toilet seat. A little mold in the shower but overall clean room. Beds were comfortable. The grounds need a lot of attention to make it usable. Walking distance to very limited shopping and eateries. Nothing opens early nor stays open late. Area is very quiet and has a small town feel. Would stay again.

Stayed one night while driving from SF to LA and loved it. The price was right, comfortable bed, clean, well located and friendly staff. Free parking, bikes… if you need a nice little place to stay this is a good option.

Great in-betweener for those riding highway 1 from SF to LA. Don't drink the water in Cambria.

Excellent motel just on the outskirts of town. This is a motel but we still got more than we expected. We only stayed for one night and we got there kinda late (7ish) but we were still treated to a lovely fire in the back yard. As well as offered bikes to cycle into town, though its a 5 minute walk so we walked. The bed was soft, the room was clean, there were ample pillows and blankets. Its clearly an old building and it reflects this in the bathroom though perfunctory and clean there were none of the usual enhancements you might find in a newer bathroom. The staff were very friendly and informative and told us about the sights we would see the next day on our up coming route. Great pride both locally and in the surrounding county. The only down point to this motel was the lack of ingredients available to make s'mores. Other than this, a perfect stop off point on our road trip.

Nice clean rooms, little chilly at night, but kind of makes u feel like ur in the mid west very friendly people.

What a great find! We loved our stay there. It's small and old, but the owners have done such a nice job of making the place cozy inside and out. The room was immaculate with a working heater, extra blanket and pillow and no ants whatsoever! :-).

There were ants everywhere in the kitchen. The microwave was dirty and smelled like dead fish. The carbon monoxide detector was broken. The gas fire heater smelled like gas. These complaints were told to the owner who simply said " thanks for letting me know" as if they didn't care and said nothing more. Please do not stay at this hotel it is not safe, gross.

The rooms are very clean with modern fixtures and comfortable bed. Hosts are extremely friendly and competent. Palms is a great deal.

I expected the room to be simple with no frills and it was. It was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the room was freezing cold and the small wall heater quite ineffective. I asked for a space heater and blanket but was assured that the heater would heat up the room. It did not! I turned it on when I first arrived at 3 PM, left it on while I went to dinner and the theater and found the room still very cold when I returned at 10 PM. I left it on all night and the noise from the heater going on and off every minute made it hard to sleep (truly it went on and off all night long! ) I was cold all night and my fingers are freezing cold even as I write this review — — I am not a happy camper this morning. Unfortunately, I will not be coming to Cambria Palms in the future and cannot recommend it to anyone.

It's a peaceful place to stay at. The lady at the reception is absolutely charming and full of helpful hints about Cambria. And the beds are grand.

Enjoyed our stay. This is no 5 star inn; so don't expect it to be. But the room was clean beds were soft. The staff was SUPER friendly. And we were able to get a mini fridge at no charge. Only thing I would say was a pain, was 1. The only outlet in the bathroom was on the light, and a lack of outlets in the room. But its a older building, would be silly to expect more.

Stayed for three nights on a road trip with my cousins. Our stay was wonderful, and it had beautiful scenery and a fire place in the backyard. It's a motel, so you go there knowing you can't expect much but it exceeded our expectations! It gave us a nice comfortable place to go to after our days exploring the town.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was visiting my sis, niece and mom for the weekend but since my sis' condo was flooded we all needed a place to stay while it was being fixed. The location of the motel was ideal.
