My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Kawaguchiya Honkan, and from the moment we checked in, we had a very positive experience.

I loved my stay at Kawaguchiya. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff always very happy to help. The traditional hotel is great to look at with some modern simple rooms.

A good hotel in a bad location. The shuttle bus is helpful, but not running between 11:10 and 16:00. It works for guests checking in and out, but what about those staying for more than 1 night?

I had a great stay at this ryokan style hotel that offers great amenities and friendly service.

Staff were very friendly but of course this is normal in Japan. Nice breakfast over looking the river which is filled with yachts.

I was very satisfied with the amount of crab I could eat. There is no problem for 7.8 people in the large public bath. The room was clean and I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The inn is located on a slightly higher ground in the port town, and if you go through a narrow hairpin on the way, you will find the inn in front of you.

Excellent hotel ryokan built and with interior from the late 90's/ early 00's.
The hotel has great private baths (note that they are only hot water, not mineral water) and shared mineral water pools.

Arima onsen gekkoen was definitely worth visiting, you can request for the shuttle transportation to and from the main bus station. The hotel is relatively old.

I had a very good stay in this guesthouse, the welcome from our hosts was very pleasant, we slept well in comfortable beds.

I really loved my stay in this family gest house. The rooms are very clean and the common areas particularly friendly. We were even able to have a Japanese barbecue in a special room.

Fantastic new boutique hotel just 10 minutes by car from the Awaji Interchange (which is just across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from Kobe). Free parking.

Half of the staff speak English, the rest can understand what you say as long as you do it calmly. Great service so far. Rooms are not too spacious but it is more than enough for two people.

The house is great, homely feeling, the beds are nice, everything you need freely available (water, tea, cutlery, fridge, microwave).
