Stunning views and reviving onsens!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Initially, I was worried about how big the hotel was, but the whole experience was excellent.
I recently stayed at Hizenya Tsuetate Kanko Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. Prior to booking, I had read several reviews mentioning that the hotel was old, which made me a bit concerned.
A very enjoyable hot spring experience, complete with a bowling alley and arcade for the kids. Great all you can eat buffet for dinner and breakfast.

Having been to multiple similar star-grade onsen hotels in Kyushu so far, this would be somewhere average with the others: not particularly outstanding, not bad either.

We had a very satisfying two days with three generations of our family.
I used the Amagase Onsen passport (1, 200 yen for 3 designated hot springs. Purchased at the tourist information center inside the station). The hot springs had a slight sulfur scent and felt good.

I can only agree with all the reviews, this is a really nice guesthouse to go if you are travelling around Kyushu.
Everything was perfect! I stayed here for 2 nights in December and had a very good time. The hosts are genuinely friendly and the atmosphere is very homely.
The best experiences for 4 days in Miyazaki.
Clean room, reasonable price, nice people and services.

Comfortable modest business hotel with good sized rooms, friendly and helpful staff (albeit with limited English) and parking out the front. Good Japanese breakfast and dinners (if ordered early).
This is a great little hotel. I could find no info in English about it, and feared the worst. However, it’s new, spotless, comfortable and rooms are spacious.

It was clean and the onsen was perfect. The indoor family onsen was not small, and outdoor onsen was also nice with beautiful trees and stars at night. The staffs were friendly and nice, too.
5 stars all the way! My favourite accommodation in my whole Japan trip in September. They had an indoor and outdoor onsen, good when you’re tired after a long day of walking or waking up early.
Comfy place. Stunning view in front of the house. Very good service. Charming outdoor onzen. Convenience parking.
Recommend for everyone.

The staff was so incredibly nice and accommodating. They treated me kindly even though my Japanese is horrendous and helped me ship luggages to another city and was very patient.
Location is not the main city but perfect for family trip.
I needed to have bigger room for 5 people. (parents, me and my husband, my son)
This building was mansion not hotel.
Booked 1 room with loft for 3 pax for a relatively affordable price during golden week (around USD100 per night) during the golden week. The room was small as stated on the site.

We spend one night here in the hotel.
It s much older than we expected. Water was leaking from the ceiling under heavy rain. Yet the service of the staff is good and they speak fluent English too.
We are a family of 3 Australians and stayed in one of the traditional ryokan rooms. We stayed 3 nights. This hotel was our most favourite during our 3 week stay in Japan.
My first time staying at a hotel like this. You take off your shoes at the entrance and switch to the provided slippers.
We stayed several days at this hostel with my husband and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the breakfast was delicious.
The room was just as you'd expect from a Route Inn, but the natural hot spring and the spacious, relaxing manga corner were plus points.
