For the price it is amazing, you’re on top of a 7/11, AND the rooms are huge. There’s a separate area for your shoes and clothes, and the bed area, and a bathroom.

A very good hotel with hot springs. Friendly staff and delicious dinner. I guess the hotel owner is a fan of Gundam. There are a lot of Gundam and manga on display in the second building.

We had a few days exploring the region from here and found it had everything we needed.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were attentive, and kind, there were bicycles that were free to rent to get around the city.

The men’s bath & sauna are surprisingly nice for a business hotel, but the women’s area is very disappointing.

Small, comfortable rooms. Excellent, efficient and friendly Reception staff. Delicious Japanese breakfast for only Yen 500 with wonderful Kitchen staff. Small gym (Treadmill and a few weights).

Despite being a 2-star hotel, it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. The lobby impresses with its spaciousness and cleanliness, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Room was a bit old and dirty. There was some mold on the side of the tub and when I ran water in the tub, some dirt/grime came up from the drain.
Other than that, service was excellent.

Amazing hotel and great value.
We booked this hotel for two rooms for one night. We arrived a little early for check in but the staff allowed us to store our luggage until it was time.

Nice, clean and convenient hotel. The staff is wonderful and provides free drinks, coffee and chocolate 24 hours a day. The room is spacious and equipped with a massage chair.

I stayed for three nights. The staff are friendly and you can spend your time comfortably and leisurely!

It is within walking distance from the pier and main shopping streets, and the location is very convenient!

This guesthouse is not only a finding but also a truly great place! I loved to arrive and find all the colourful inside-shoes! And the room is so beautiful!

The room was spacious for a single traveler. The room had everything you need with a nice view of the mountain. It did feel a little outdated. But it was nice to have your own toilet in the room.

Very clean, very cozy, very friendly staff, close to Aso station, restaurants, convenience store and onsen, I couldn't recommend it more! There is a shared kitchen, a coin washing machine available.

Wonderful little lodge at the foot of mt. Aso, a 5 minute walk form Aso station.
The rooms and facilities are very clean (almost compulsively so) and well-maintained.

With a friendly check — in, I was given room 812, a double bed with a nice view to the south. The room was basic Japanese business hotel style, nicely done and very clean.

Very professional and prompt check-in, great location for travel and sightseeing. Room is immaculately clean, big bath and face care amenities.

JR Kyushu Hotel Nagasaki is an excellent choice for staying in Nagasaki. The hotel is very conveniently located, directly connected to Nagasaki Station, making travel easy and stress-free.

Stayed here for 2 nights. No complaints about the room but you can hear a lot of other guests in their rooms. It was particularly noisy in the room above us when they were walking around.

Everyone in this hotel is so kind. If I have to go Beppu again, this hotel will be my first choice.

If you are non-japanese and are looking to stay in Onsen Ryokan without worrying too much about etiquette, this place is for you.

I was checked in by Suhit when I arrived. He spoke excellent English and Japanese.

I had a wonderful time in this lovely guesthouse. Take San came to the airport to get me. His house is really nice and confortable and he is so gentle and calm person.

I loved it! Simple but welcoming, stunning views! Such nice hosts. Would absolutely recommend. And the cost was very low! It was a wonderful stay, and good place to take a great day trip from.

Very clean hostel with the kindest staff. Comfortable sleeping quarters. High quality amenities. Close proximity to town. They offer breakfast and dinner included for a fee.

I went here on Thanksgiving. There are lots of features here, such as Japanese style Tatami rooms, the bathrooms are clean (unlike our house) and the staff is friendly and international.

This hotel is trying very hard to be a proper hotel in Amakusa. 5 stars for effort. Despite the old facilities, most of their single or double rooms have been nicely renovated.

Great hotel — clean good sized rooms.
Cheap.
Breakfast can be had.
Convenience store next door.
Can't ask for more on a great spot!
Amakusa is in the middle of nowhere though…

The owner was great. She speaks great English and was very supportive. Called restaurants to get us a booking as everything was fully booked.

This hotel is one of my favorites when I travel to Japan. The rooms are more spacious than other hotels in the area. I also appreciate the pleasant street view from the window.

The room itself was elegant and well-appointed, with a tasteful decor. I slept quite comfortably during my stay. The hotel also had a pleasantly quiet atmosphere, which I appreciated.

This is our third time using the Richmond hotel in Kumamoto.
The rooms are clean. It has its own laundry room for guests. It’s close to popular public transport.

A little out of the way, but a great experience if you’re looking to stay at a traditional Japanese inn. Very authentic and the attention to detail is evident.

This is my 4th time using it.
It's a container so you don't have to worry about the noise next door.
The quality of frozen breakfast food has improved.
I wish there were more variations.
