Reviews of Hostel Kyotokko
Bad rooms, toilet and shower. There is no personel available and even if it is in a good location it is hard to find.
The worst part however is the smell. 2 out of the 3 people we arrived with left the same night for another hotel. The last one after finding a nail in his bed and not having a single second of sleep went out next morning.
Its a waste of money and not recommended.

I went there as it was the cheapest place to stay in the area. Its hidden away, and is basically someone's flat where they have made each room into accommodation. That area is really a urban sprawl, but close to the tram to take you up to the bamboo forest. There is no reception and you just go to your room which is written on a white board. Its very basic but functional. Unfortunately the next day I found I was covered in bites so I think room 5 is infested. I'm glad I only stayed there one night until I found somewhere nicer.
