Hostels in HokkaidoHostel

Very quiet yet convenient location. A bus stop and convenience store in front. A clinic nearby. Unobstructed view of mt. Yotei. Rooms have heater and our booking is breakfast inclusive.

Rooms were great, 30min walk to hirafu but buses run regularly. Free breakfast was good and easy. Restaurant inside was great ended up eating there more then hirafu.

I had a great stay at this hostel! The staff were super friendly and spoke English well, which made communication really easy. Check-in was quick and smooth, no hassle at all.

Sappolodge is a small hostel in Sapporo near the Susukino area. Everything is within walking distance so it's very convenient if you're staying here.
Your bed/pod has a lot of space.

While this was my first experience with a hostel, I was happy with my time.
Shuttle to/from Annupuri, simple breakfast every morning, friendly staff.

I stayed for three weeks at the Niseko Backcountry Lodge for my Japan trip in January!

Great for solo travelers. If walking a few blocks from Susukino isnt a problem, this is it. The area is quiet. There's a seicomart and 7 eleven nearby. Two common areas are available to guests.

Good hotel. The capsules are bigger than usual and there are separate toilets and shower rooms. There are also living rooms and kitchen areas on the 3rd and 10th floor.

My son and I had a wonderful stay at LDK Hostel Odori. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and the location is ideal—only a 10minutes from Susukino Station.

4 stars. I don't know why this one costs more than the other. The other one is better. Staff are great here, but the facilities are not. There was a stench on many of the floors.

Hostel Junpu Manpan is a clean, cozy, and affordable place to stay, offering a peaceful atmosphere and friendly hospitality.

Great hostel, I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and it feels like staying at someone's home and not really a guesthouse.

Cozy inn deep in nature. Friendly staff, pick up service, and good food. I stayed here to enjoy a peaceful retreat and walk to Kussharo Lake’s outdoor hot springs.

The rooms are a bit old, but the beds are comfy. The walls are very thin, which can be a problem at night or at dawn when tours start. There is a shared bathroom with a onsen.

The location is good. 9 mins walk from JR train station and 10 mins walk to Otaru Canal. The hostel was clean, but you need to put on bedsheets provided by the hotel.

Stylishly outfitted and very clean. The showers had strong water pressure and all amenities provided made for a seamless two night stay. The staff and other guests alike were quite friendly.

Great rooms both western and traditional. Clean, tidy comfortable with everything there you need for a nights stay. Spent a night there and when we left in the morning forgot out juices and maps.

It seems this hotel was renovated from an older property into a business hotel.
I stayed in a business-type room: one bed, and enough space to open a suitcase while still having room to walk around.

This hostel was so much fun, very social and had the best location in the village for ski access.
Definitely get what you pay for.

The staff were incredibly helpful and brought such great vibes. They helped me rent my snowboarding gear and shared useful tips about Hirafu and the slopes.

Great value for the money! The owner is super friendly and the location is perfect.
There’s a shower, washing machine, and Wi-Fi, everything you need.

Although the room is small, it is clean and fully equipped with appliances and other furniture.
For the price of a bed, you get a room, which is great.

The room was spacious and well equipped, just be aware there is no AC so it stays very hot in the summertime.

Nice basic place to stay. Very close to the wharf and not too far from the train station. The receptionist was very nice and very patient even to people who doesn't speak Japanese 🫶🏻

Great location, great staff. The beds were really hard though.

This place was great, cleanliness was on point. The staff are nice and very helpful!
